This resort offers a nice balance of relaxation and fun. The beach house is clean and very comfortable and the beach is not too crowded. Definitely nice for a weekend getaway. We kayaked, swam in the clear ocean water, and enjoyed our beach house balcony. read more

Unbelievable hotel. Great villas. Very spacious and clean. Hotel employees are excellent. Beautiful grounds. A true gem.

Amazing views and hospitality at the tiki bar at Tranquility bay! Very nice views of the ocean and the sunsets are always enjoyable. There's a nice beach to lounge and the bar has plenty of seating. Joey at the tiki bar did a great job giving us exceptional service and kept the delicious drinks flowing! The pina coladas and Miami vice drinks were delivered with nice flare and tasted great! Thanks Joey! We can't wait to come back and were even considering this place as a wedding venue! read more

Tranquility Bay Beachfront Resort - Gorgeous sunsets! - Resorts Near Me - Marathon, Florida

This is a small bunch of beach houses with a restaurant off of the hotel lobby. There is a small marina to rent jet skis and paddle boards and a tiny beach with shallow water for kids to swim. There is a lot of seaweed and sea grass, so nothing seen while snorkeling, a few beach chairs and a little beach bar. We ended up driving to some clean public beaches and nice eateries along Highway 1. The main complaint we had was the cleanliness of our unit. There were bedbugs in the bedrooms upstairs, we have bites all over. The dryer still had cardboard packing material in the door so lint was built up inside the door and we had to pull it all out, mud was caked in the washing machine and we had to clean it out ourselves (housekeeping and maintenance people were not around the entire week despite our requests), dishwasher was filthy with mineral build up, colanders in cabinets had caked on food, fridge had cracked plastic bin and terrible odor. We called front desk for housekeeping and maintenance each day but no one ever showed up. The TV in the den was small and so outdated that it didn't support HDTV. They only provided one extra trash bag, and partial rolls of toilet paper and paper towels. No trash pick up either - we saw a raccoon digging through someone's trash bag on their front porch! Folks, be prepared to bring your own cleaning supplies and help the housekeepers. Tranquility Bay charges the same price as a National brand resort, but without providing a higher level of service. This place has potential, but lacks good management and maintenance. We would return to Marathon for a vacation but we would probably stay elsewhere. read more

Nice view. I have yet to meet a bartender in the Florida Keys who understands how to make a balanced rum cocktail. Mai Tai not drinkable. Pain killer mediocre at best. Staff deserves proper training. I have to blame management. read more

So thankful for General Manager Bob Bauersachs' hospitality! He and the staff did a great job for us during a difficult time following Irma. Our room was fabulous - AC cool, crisp linens, comfortable coastal decor! Beautiful grounds and pool. Hard to believe it was only days after a Cat 4 hurricane. I look forward to a return visit for some R&R when we've completed our hurricane cleanup! read more

Warning, the website has grossly misleading pictures, especially regarding the lagoon area. The lagoon pictures showed turquoise waters coming up to your deck and a ladder for swimming. In reality, the lagoon resembles a sewage treatment facility and smells almost as bad. No one in our family felt comfy swimming in it, or even sitting near it (the smell was very bad). It was also very ugly. To the immediate right of the cesspool (out of frame in their pictures) is a gigantic stack of wooden crab crates and trash, in front of a giant rusted cell tower. Not picturesque. The rate was 901$ a night, so it seems reasonable to expect not to be located near a swamp and trash pile. After tax this room cost over a thousand a night. Most expensive swamp hut ever. Being experienced travelers, we know that there are often surprises, and high end hotels are usually accommodating if you approach management. We went to speak with the manager and she could not have been more rude. She told us that the trash pile was out of their control as it was left by a group of criminals and poachers that come at night after dark to do their "evil deeds". She then told us that they have called the police dozens of times, and the police were unresponsive. Somehow this did not make us feel safer. When asked why the website photos didn't show the trash or cell tower, she said that she is not legally allowed to photograph the property of others, and they are on the neighbors property. That is simply not true, it is legal to photograph whatever you want as long as you are standing on your own property. Since they won't include them on their website, I have helpfully included them here. Judge for yourself if this is a $1,000 a night view. Additionally, the resort is billed as a "three bedroom beach house" and they are actually condos attached to each other in groups of 4. They share walls, and you can hear noise from the next one over. It would be more accurate to describe them as a three bedroom condo or apartment, not a beach house. Ultimately they were willing to move us to a less expensive room by the pool with no ocean view. Better, but unfortunate as the entire purpose of this vacation was to check "staying in an ocean front beach house" off of my father's bucket list for his 57th birthday. We were unable to do this, as we stayed very far from the beach. We would second the complaints of many other reviewers about lack of service, lack of a decent bar (it closes at 8 pm, ridiculous for weekends during spring break in the keys), lack of a decent gym (they advertise the fitness center, but it is more of a fitness closet), the mandatory 18% gratuity at the bar seems unfair (we like to tip well for good service, being denied the option sucks). I short we would recommend you go elsewhere, as the advertisements are misleading and the service is nonexistent. If you have problems here, the management is inflexible and aggressive, blaming you for not liking their subpar experience (at premium rates). read more

Worth every penny but definitely recommend renting a beach front cottage. Staff was friendly and helpful. Tiki bar had a good menu selection including food and drinks. The rooms are the perfect size, beds are comfortable, pillows are a little stiff but the view makes it all worth it. Our dishwasher wasn't working but as soon as we asked someone was over fixing it for us (first world problems- I know). Customer service around here is amazing. Highly recommend staying here. read more

The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because the room was not 5 stars. The room was very laid back, beachy feel, everything was clean, the attendants were attentive, the bathroom lighting is pretty terrible though and the shower is so small I'm pretty sure you can't fit more than 1 person in it lol. But on to the good stuff! The land was awesome, I didn't feel like I was in the keys, I felt like I was in the Caribbean! The name suits this resort well... there were jetskis to rent (kind of pricey though) they had a tiki bar you could order drinks or food at. They had a spot to lounge in the ocean that was blocked off so guests would feel safer im assuming. Very relaxing resort! Will definitely go back! :) read more

My wife and I decided to extend our vacation and head to the keys. We love the look of the grounds and our room along with the private beach. We enjoyed our 5 days, the food and beverages were priced a little higher than other restaurants in the area but that is expected. We were shocked that with rooms designed for families (kitchens) that there are signs everywhere informing guest to not have outside drinks or food on the beach. I saw families that appeared to pack there little ones up when they were hungry or thirsty. The only thing that highly disappointed us was when we went to rent jet skis we were told we couldn't because the company wasn't cover under the insurance yet. That they just sent the payment and that they could not let any machines on the water. I was a little confused on a resort not taking care of their responsibilities of keeping their insurance up to date. Even though we couldn't rent jet skis the resort is quiet and close to key west and other attractions. read more

My review is based solely on rude service and quality of rooms.. checked in today and first room we got reeked of humidity. That was no big issue. We where changed and 2nd room had stained/filthy sheets.. the last room, after the maid and manager walked the room, had a roach under the sink.. once again, things happen.. no biggie.. right..? Wrong!! I told the front desk and instead of apologizing they called the room and tell my girlfriend (who had no idea that I had called the front desk) that we where welcome to leave.. really..??!!! read more

OMG. What an incredible place! We had reserved at another place and left when we discovered that the "waterfront" room was a view of the pool. Looking for a new place, this place was recommended by another hotel. But for the recommendation, we would have never found it. All there is is a sign and a wall of trees, but when we got in, we found a new (2 1/2 years) place, with every room having an unobstructed ocean view. The people who worked there were very pleasant. The food at the restaurants was very good. Lots of pools and activities, yet a laid back atmosphere. We will be going back read more

My family recently stayed at Tranquility Bay from June 29 thru July 1, 2022. The room had termites, insects, etc and the room rates were changed after verbally agreeing to price. I contacted Elizabeth at the property to discuss issues and she stated she would look into issue and call me back. That was on July 5th. Today is July 7th and still have not heard back from Elizabeth and when I called they stated that she was out for the week. I will wait to see if Elizabeth and/or manager makes this right. I will post again next week after giving Elizabeth long enough time to return. Poor customer service. read more

Surprised by the low reviews on Yelp, as we choose this place based on Trip-Advisor reviews, which are perfect! We booked a 2-bed/2-bath condo, which easily held our family of 5; our condo was literally 8 steps from the family saltwater pool (which I may add, this place is known for having the LARGEST pool in The Keys) and about 30 steps from the ocean. On the other side of the resort is the "Adult" pool. Our condo was great, very spacious, had all amenities of home, so you can cook, do laundry, etc. I can agree with some reviews about the staff, no one speaks English, but on the plus side, I am on vacation so that does not bother me, as all the staff was beyond helpful when I asked for extra tea/coffee and towels. Other reviews stating the screws are popping out of deck chairs, etc are correct, but I don't nitpick while on vacation. The resort could use a fine tooth comb to fix all the little things, but I am fine with it. The "beach" that they have netted so kids can't get too far out (and seaweed doesn't overtake the area) is not worth using. There are too many shells/rocks/hard seaweed and it hurts to walk. Take a 6 minute drive and go to Bahia Honda Beach down the way. After speaking to other guests about the Tiki Bar, we decided to only order 1 drink. It was overpriced and ok tasting. The type of people who were at the Tiki Bar, were 30-50 year old women, flirting with the bartender, s it took a few moments to get his attention. Why the Tiki bar is by the "family" side of the resort is beyond me. They should move it to the Adult side. The most negative feature of this place has got to be the Jetski/boat/paddle board rental place which is also located on the resort, although a different business altogether.(It is called Turtle Island Adventures, although we can't find anything about it online) On the ad in the resort, jet-sking is $85 per hour. Well we were charged $108 per hour. On the super tiny fine print, it says they "add a 20% service fee". A "service fee"? for what? wtf are you "servicing"??? After being pissed off for 2 days and looking into other places to rent jet skis (hey, we use 3 jet skis & that gets pricey) I called the guy and asked wtf he charged us a "service fee" when we rented jet skis. Here is the best answer I have ever heard, he literally said: "The 20% charge is optional, if you don't want to pay it, come back and I will refund your money". HAHAHAHAHAHA wow! Ok, so on the ad, it clearly says automatic 20% "service charge", BUT if you complain (which I am betting about 99% of people don't) they will refund this bogus charge. So, I do recommend this jet ski place, as the jet skis were in good condition and its a great place to be in the ocean, BUT, unless you want to give the guy 20% of however many hours/jet skis you are renting, you better speak up. All in all, this place is great. No you are not getting a "Moon Palace" type resort like in Cancun, or The Grand Wailea in Maui, but you are getting the nicest place in The Keys. Will definitely book this place again. read more

This is my fourth visit to Tranquility Bay, a Singh Resort, which has come to my mind to signify resorts which take great care in the cosmetics of paint and look so it photographs well, but which are sorely lacking in many other ways. The 2 and 3 bedroom suites feature flat-screen TVs and nice kitchens, and big comfortable beds. The devil is in the details though. This could easily be, with its white sand beach, big pool, great restaurant and rental dock, one of the best four star hotels in Florida. Unfortunately, the Singh brand name seems to signify corner-cutting of such epic proportion that it undermines the whole thing. Housekeeping has improved in terms of overall cleanliness, but unless you speak Spanish the concept of "extra face towel" is lost on the cleaning staff and a call to the front desk did not remedy the language barrier. The next day the housekeeper, who was very nice, and I had a Spanglish moment and figured it all out. There is a lovely couch with a pull-out bed downstairs, but sit on it, and you sink into cushions that have lost all their support so low into the couch that you will have a backache in minutes. The deck chairs outside are wooden and picturesque, but the screws popping out of the back will catch and rip pants or bathing suits. Everything upstairs around the beds themselves is incredibly tiny. They have to put the phone for the end table down on the lower shelf because it would consume the side table otherwise. The second bathroom has a shower curtain with a six inch fold and does not have one of those bowed bars to pull it out of the tiny tub, so you only have about 18" of working room around it if you want to shower in there. The view from the beach is amazing, BUT... They have a marina and a netted snorkeling area, but they have kept neither up. The snorkeling area was so choked off in sea weeds that they had closed it and were trying to bring in a skip loader and shovel hundreds of pounds of it away. The rental guy in the mini marina has to take a jet ski and mow the weeds choking off anyplace to park boats. Mostly, you get told the rules here, rather than doing more to accommodate the guests. The wind was low, but the bartender told us they were not allowed to raise the umbrellas at the nice ocean-side beach tables because of it. I had a sandwich at the beach bar, and it was excellent. We did not try the restaurant this go-round but it was also excellent in the past. The bar itself is behind the times, more because of the cheap factor. When Smirnoff is your premium vodka, you're either cheap or out of touch. I asked where I could get a cup of espresso, and the morning guy at the desk at 9:00am told me to go to iHOP. He said it was the only breakfast place, even though the Stuffed Pig, a Marathon landmark, is three blocks up the street and closer than the chain place. How much would it take to get a staff that is more responsive, and give them more tools like maybe a sheet with local breakfast places so they could accommodate guest needs? The good news is that new hotels and remodels are springing up all over the keys. The bad news for Tranquility Bay is that, unless it gets its act together, someone will need to buy this from the apparently tight-fisted Singh chain to make it a world-class resort, which it could easily become. read more

Some dangerous unwelcomed visitors, and high prices... Nothing special. Lots of beach houses with nice rooms. First night I stayed here, i was greeted with a little suprise at about 1am, tired, going to the bathroom i almost stepped on a scorpion. That kind of turned me off completely on the resort in the first place. Then the struggle we had trying to contact the hotel to do something about this unwelcomed visitor was even worse. No one was present, and calling the hotel over-night manager was horrible, pretty much she said nothing could be done about it until morning. So we were for ed to spend the night in a hotel room with god know what else could be lurking around. Mind you, we are not from an area that has scorpion, or creatures of any such kind. In my mind i believe, besides the scorpion, the hotel wasnt worth the prrice, and a tad bit over rated... read more

My husband and I arrived here on Saturday 05.28.16 for 4 night stay, we were both so excited to get out of NYC for the long weekend! On arrival we were greeted by a very less enthused receptionist... Who vaguely told us about the hotel. We were not offered assistance with our luggage and she pointed where we should go to find our room! Not letting her unimpressed manor conflict with my excitement I let it go! We arrived at the house were our room was. We opened the door to be greeted with the absolute worst smell of mould I had ever smelt! I had to pinch my nose to keep the stench at bay Our room was on the 1st floor (no lift) we opened the door and I was happy with how the room looked, it was neat, clean and thankfully smelt good! I was disappointed that there was no water in the room, no bathroom products and no remote control for the TV!! I rang down it took them 3 hours to send toiletries to us!!! We went for a walk down to the beach and was greeted by the exceptional bar staff only to happy to chat with the biggest smile on their faces!!! As where the young guys who look after the water sports 10/10 for the attitude and eagerness!! We had most fun out of the resort!!! Ok, I paid over $400 a day for a beach front room and expected something better than normal because of the price. I have stayed in ST Augustine, Siesta Key, Orlando, and Clearwater. So that is my reference point. First impression was not good. I had to walk at least five minutes to get from my car to the room. With luggage that is no small thing. Next I noticed the entire walk had at least one side of the side walk under construction. When I got to the room I looked out hoping to see a beautiful sandy beach we could play on. But the beach had sand and then abruptly stopped and was nothing but rock. The one of the areas was supposedly a sandy beach area but it was all murky and dirty. No one was using it. Also when I went to the second floor, the palms blocked the view of the beach. There were two palms right outside our balcony. So I was thinking, maybe the jet skis and the boat rentals on the property would be great. Well the jet ski guy jacked the price up to $70 for a half hour. I thought that was pretty high. Then I asked about the boat rentals and both boats were already rented out for the day. Then we went to the lagoon pool. It was pretty nice, but not one hot tub available which is pretty standard for a Florida hotel. The other pool was adults only so we couldn't bring our kids. The restaurant was excellent, but really expensive. We got 2 sea food meals, a regular meal, and a few extras. The bill with gratuity was around $150. Fitness center was under construction. We did see a manatee at the dock by the jet skis and we saw a green iguana by the pool. We also saw coconut trees everywhere. The room was really nice inside. We had an upstairs and downstairs. We had three bathrooms and 2 bedrooms. It had a kitchen and living room too. The rooms are the best things about the place. If you have money to blow I would say its not horrible but definitely didn't meet expectations, especially the accommodations outside. read more

This place is not family or group friendly! Quiet hours start at 6:30pm and they have the local police on speed dial. The place stinks like raw sewage. Not as good as advertised. Poor customer service . We stayed one night. We specifically asked for a ground floor room because we have a baby and hauling the cart and all our stuff through a stairs is very uncomfortable. Not only the did not give us that room but when we asked for it they would not change it . ( we asked for this when we did the reservation online ). The beach is not as pretty s the pictures . Maybe the hurricane did some damage, still they need toupdate their pics . The rooms are nice but the blinds don't cover the sunlight so expect to be up early . We had dinner at the bar on the beach , beautiful setup but we asked for our food not to be spicy ( my husband can't handle spicy ) but they brought spicy anyway and charge us anyway . This is a tough review, our experience was good and not necessarily bad but the resort doesn't meet expectations of what makes a resort a resort especially with the nightly cost. The grounds of this property are absolutely beautiful. The town houses need some updating and remodeling but the space is is great for family and friends. The balcony and front porch have amazing views but there is no privacy from other guests. The experience would have been better if they put tall plants or something in between each for some privacy. Butterfly cafe' is only open for dinner and was a great experience. The relaxation (adult pool) is nice but turned into a party by other adults so it was hard to relax. This time of year the sea grass comes in, we understand it's out of anyone's control and it really wasn't to bad, but the resort decided to clean it in the middle of the day with a tractor and it took them hours. There is no pool side or beach service from the tiki bar. Tiki bar prices are extremely high two frozen drinks was $32.00. And just to note there is not an actual spa to go to, the person comes to your room, which can be tough to relax if there are others in your room. Staff was friendly beach was pretty kids had a great time playing. read more

First off, the grounds are amazing and the place is visually striking. The architecture and layout is really well done. Specifically, the landscaping, reception area, and large pool are very impressive. However, My impression of Tranquility Bay changed when I spent a few nights at the resort. Our room was not as clean as it should have been and there were some maintenance issues: *musty/garbage smell. I think that it was coming from the dishwasher. *a large stain on the ceiling *the tile floor had a greasy feeling when you walked on the floor *at least five broken tiles. *rusty shower curtain rod *significant mildew on the second floor porch *stained carpets on the staircase *some of the furniture was broken. Overall, the furniture appeared to be very cheap. I don't know if I would want to spend day at the beach. It seems to be more man made than something you might expect in CA, Cape Cod or even other parts of the Keys. Also, the lagoon pool was not supervised, so there were a handful of people throwing balls and dominating the space. The other pools are very ordinary. There is no breakfast or room service. Overall the place seemed more like you were staying at a friend's condo, not a luxury resort. read more

Let's go to the Tiki bar.... This is a catchphrase my boyfriend and I have been using post vacation to the Keys for the last week. That is to say it was a memorable experience. We were in the area for 4 days and ended up at this hidden gem 3 times. Our first and second time was on Christmas day and it was not only exciting to find a place open to eat out, but even more exciting that we had such delicious food and such a pleasant time. We were not staying at the hotel/resort but it was easy enough to walk through the main lobby and outside to the oceanfront tiki bar. The first time, it was midday and we had the fish dip which came with crackers in the shape of butterflies and shrimp cocktail. Both of these dishes were fresh and tastey as can be. We drank Pina coladas too , which were great. Bonus: Everything was half off ( happy hour or maybe for the holiday?) We made this place our pit stop coming back from our day trip to Key West from Islamorada, late night. We had Pina coladas once again and finally got our dessert on with a classic key lime pie. I have had better, but it was still pretty good and it hit the spot. The 3rd time we were there was for some apps again in the afternoon prior to our adventure into touring the nooks and cranies of Marathon for potential vacation rental properties. We ordered the shrimp cocktail once again, the fish tacos which had a very tastey sauce and fresh Mahi Mahi in them and finally, the pretzel with cheese. My boyfriend claimed it was one of the best he had ever had. It was ginormous and the texture of the dough was just perfect. I personally prefer white cheese instead of yellow, but you can hardly get that anywhere. The pretzel was so good by itself it didn't need any dipping sauce. Overall, every time we were there the service was very friendly and attentive. The only caveat to this experience is that they add gratuity to the bill, but it was really a minor drawback since we would have left at least what they added anyway. What added to this yummy food experience was the beautiful atmosphere of this place. We would love to stay at the hotel in the near future and be regulars at this memorable tiki bar. read more

Recent, first time trip to Marathon. We used cc points and there were only 2 places to choose from. Doing a drive by (considering the size of the island, it's easy to do), this seemed like the better choice as the other resort had construction. Years ago, we stayed at Tranquility's sister resort on Key West. The lay out is very similar, but I like the beach in Marathon a lot better. We visited at a very "slow" time of year and practically had the resort to ourselves. I am sure this effects my review. Although it was just my DH and I, we had to book a 2 bedroom condo, they don't have single bedrooms. Our stay was short, a few days. The condo is clean, but tired. There were cracked tiles, the stair carpeting needs to be replaced, walls were scuffed and the outside paint is chipping. The bedroom had a king sized bed and it barely fit in the room and the mattress needs to be replaced. The light fixtures in the bedroom were broken. As a matter of fact, one light bulb blew out and the breaker tripped. The bathrooms are tiny, the mirror was pitted, and the light fixtures were rusty. Housekeeping came once during our stay and only replaced the most of the towels and coffee, they didn't sweep the floors or even replace the complimentary toiletries. Our condo was located perfectly for us, right down the walkway from the parking lot and the back door led right to the adult pool. Having a kitchen, and they supply the coffee, we had our morning coffee on the back deck. Again, the resort was quite empty and we were able to enjoy the peace and quiet. There is no breakfast at the resort but there is a convenience store across the street and Publix is 5 minutes away to buy your morning fixings. Our stay was short and we didn't use the kitchen with exception for our morning coffee. We visited the Tiki bar many times. The bartenders were great, the drinks were good, and the food was okay for a quick lunch and back to the pool. The rules say no food or drink at the pool but other customers ignored the rule and no one enforced it. Same for smoking on their beach. We went to dinner once at the Butterfly Cafe, which is located in the lobby of the main house. It is more upscale, not a bathing suit and flip flops place. The sign said reservations recommended but we had no problem getting a table. You can dine on the back porch but it backs up to the family pool. As a matter of fact, people were coming in, through the dining room, in their bathing suits and flip flops to use the restrooms in the lobby, which took away from the ambiance. My husband had scallops and risotto? or grits? I don't remember now. I had mahi mahi and it wasn't cooked properly. Our awesome server made it right though. There are water sports available right by the Tiki bar. We didn't use them, it was windy and the water was choppy. There is a boardwalk but it is adjacent to condos and it seemed like we were imposing ourselves when we walked there. People were swimming off the dock there too. There is a gazebo which is a great spot to watch the sunset. There are 3 pools but the third one is very small and is hidden all the way by the gym. I would definitely come here again at this time of year, after spring breaks but before the summer rush. I think the set up of the condos are great for small children or teens. When we stayed at the facility in Key West, we had our teens and they had their own rooms, including bathrooms. Having the kitchen was great for them to make their snacks and if you're budget is tight, make meals at the condo. There was a washer/dryer right in the bedroom too. With the water sports on the property and of course, the Keys are great for fishing, there seems enough to keep kids entertained. Key West is an hour away by car and Miami 2 hours. Locally, there is the Turtle Hospital and the Dolphin Research Center. We did take a ride to Sunset Beach to watch the sunset, which was awesome and to Sombrero Beach, which is on the Atlantic side of the island. It seems newer, clean and has bathrooms and picnic tables and a playscape. One last stop was to Bahia Honda state park. We didn't have a lot of time and did a quick hike to the bridge, it costs money to get into the park, but again, I felt, worth it. I know at times of the year there is seaweed that the tide brings in, we did not have this issue and with the pools, I don't think it would bother us but driving through the keys in a convertible, certain spots smelled like sulfur. read more

Our stay here was very enjoyable, just what we needed in the middle of a hectic family trip. My only wish is that we'd planned to stay here longer. Check Priceline and similar sites for really good deals on rooms, especially since they can be pretty pricey. The rooms/apartments are very updated, with nice appliances in the kitchen area. We had a 'beach view' room and it was very relaxing. There are 2 pools, one of which is supposed to be 'adults only' but there were definitely kids in it. The beach area (for swimming) is a bit grassy and not exactly picturesque but part of that is due to the large barriers they need to put out to keep people from riding boats onto the beach. But. They do HAVE a beach area so that's what's important. Very nice sandy area for lounging or playing volleyball. A beautiful ocean view from the many lounge chairs. Also, its right next door to the Hidden Harbor Turtle Hospital which is definitely worth a visit! If we are in Key West in the future, we will certainly be looking for a room here again. read more

We came to Tranquility Bay for vacation. We arrived Friday. On TUESDAY the next week an employee rings our bell and just walks in the room. She wants to know who we are and why we are in room 25. We tell her and she leaves. It made me angry. I went to the front desk and asked WTF? She said she didn't have our name. I said we just gave it to you! I screamed it to her and spelled it. We didn't assign the room to ourselves! We have keys! She shuts the keys off!!! WTF? We paid for the room. Just because they are a cluster is not our fault! I would NOT recommend this place due to the poor management. The facility was dirty and poorly maintained. We had 25 broken tiles and I stopped counting. Dirt and stains on the walls. Broken drywall. No lid for the toilet. Cockroaches and worm bugs. Scum on the pool walls. Iguana poop and drink debris around the pool.Cigarette buts in the grass at a no smoking facility. They do not empty your trash or bring clean towels. Avoid it. read more
