I very much enjoyed my 3-night stay at this hotel. Compared to other Hampton Inns I have stayed at, this one had the most spacious room. It even had a wet bar with an extra sink and an outdoor patio area with a couple of chairs and a small table. There was also a larger-than-average fridge, microwave, and safe. Possibly my favorite thing about Hampton Inns is the included breakfast. It's so convenient to have a wide selection of foods available to start your day. There's always some meat (typically sausage patties or bacon), eggs (typically scrambled or frittatas), and breakfast potatoes; oatmeal, yogurt, and some toppings; cereal (frosted flakes, cheerios, and I forget the last one) and milk; bagels, bread, and toppings (cream cheese, butter, jam, etc.); fruit (typically bananas and apples); waffle batters (vanilla and a rotating flavor like blueberry or banana) and an iron; juice (typically OJ and apple or POG); and I'm probably missing other things. There is ice, hot and cold water, tea, and coffee available 24/7. Other amenities include a pool, tiki bar that serves drinks and food in the pool area, room service, a decent gym, and a little dock where iguanas like to hang out throughout the day. Service was excellent. Parking is $10/night with in and out privileges and there are plenty of stalls. And because of the layout of the hotel which only has 2 levels of rooms, you may be able to park right outside your room's patio door. read more

I paid $400 per night ( $110 in taxes and service )for a higher-floor room with a balcony but was given a ground-floor room with no balcony. The room was dark and poorly lit. Stay away! There is a beautiful Fairfield in the area. This hotel and management is in the business of ripping off guests. I had a reservation to stay 3 nights but unfortunately, I was forced to cancel at which point I contacted the hotel an explained my situation however they said they had to penalize me for 1 night. I have been a loyal Hilton Honor member and loyal to the brand for over 20 years. I called corporate office and they told me that the decision was up to the hotel. Had a two night reservation. Three days before, mother gets admitted to the hospital. Kept getting the run-around on who actually handles cancellations and what the policy is. After the reservation date, we get information on filing a claim. Submit all documentation, including ambulance, hospital entry and discharge, etc. only to get a "this has been denied" sent by Jill the manager. Why the opaque cancellation policy? And why make customers go thru all this paper work if they can't even get off the couch and respond with more than a "this has been denied"? read more

Nice and clean Hilton property. About 3 years old, it looks very well kept. The rooms are ample and they come with prep area with sink and microwave. The grounds are very green. There's a little market if you need to get any last minute grocery items. The breakfast buffet is typical Hampton Inn. From 6-10 am. Free parking is a plus. Located about 1 hour from Key West. About 30 min from Isla Morada. Nice restaurants close by, as well as a Dollar Tree, Winn Dixie and Publix. read more

I've been staying at this hotel for almost 6 months for work. Every week I come they put me in different rooms. Every time I check in the rooms are always half cleaned. Hair all over the bathroom floors and showers. I checked in the one week and they had wet mold on the ceiling. The front desk guy gave me an issue when I asked to have my room changed. I had the cleaning people come to my room to clean again and still hair everywhere. The breakfast is the best free breakfast in the keys but other than that the rooms are always dirty.make sure to bring a broom and mop when you stay over.i plus r recommend staying here after asking for a room changed they couldn't help me. read more

This hotel is only about two years old and it's newness shows -- in a good way. Everything is spotless and clean. In addition to hand sanitizer stations throughout, there are also Lysol wipe dispensers for cleaning surfaces available by every door and elevator. Masks are required when walking around. Check in can be done virtually. You can check in by phone and even choose your room. If you wish, you can also use your phone for keyless access to your room. We chose to get key cards and check at the front desk, just to make sure we'd received the room we thought we had and also to pick up our check in gift (for diamond level members). Because of Covid, they don't do daily housekeeping but you can request it, if necessary. We didn't need it as we were there for just a couple days. Due to Covid they no longer serve an actual breakfast buffet, but you can pick up one of two types of free bags with a prepackaged breakfast there. One bag has hard boiled eggs, a bagel and cream cheese, and yogurt or a cheese and sausage english muffin and yogurt. The other bag has fruit (apple or orange)., a muffin, and yogurt. These are by the front desk. In the mini gift shop open next to the front desk is 24 hour coffee and hot water for tea or cocoa. The room we had chosen had a big king size bed. It was usual Hampton style room with a sofa, desk and chair, large flat screen tv, and the mini refrigerator and microwave with a bar sink in its own area. The bathroom had a wise vanity area. The walk in shower is large with tall glass doors. There is no tub. We didn't get to use them, but the property had a fitness room, pool, and hot tub in a separate area behind the hotel. Pool towels were provided in each room. There's ample free parking on either side of the building. It's a great location to stay at if you want to be in Marathon. And it's easy access north or south. Stone Crab season just beginning, we had to find a place nearby our crab claw destination. This two year old property has easy access, bright and clean and a friendly helpful front desk. (Lots of sanitizer stations and wiping cloth dispensers throughout the property) Our King Room was great and it was quiet and peaceful. My only negative was in the pillow selection...pillows were flat and not supportive. The bed and our our sofa and other furnishings were very nice. The property has a separate fitness center adjacent to the pool deck. They also have a working hot jacuzzi ! Management is very attentive and when we were having breakfast, even went back into the pantry to retrieve some boiled eggs we asked for to go with our grab and go breakfast boxes. If you are going to be in Marathon or the lower keys, this property is a great choice and convenient to several parks and attractions! read more

I am a Diamond member with Hilton, so needless to say I stay with them frequently, so this review keep that in mind. The good: location is great - Marathon is in the middle and really has a lot of good restaurants and activities. This location has free laundry, which is really nice. Also the fact that they have balconies/patios is nice. If you travel with your dogs the bottom level would be ideal. They even have doggy doo stations. Our room was clean. The lobby and main building is very modern and nice, with a great view across the street. You can't hear US 1 traffic at all and the guests in general seem to be quiet (older couples or younger stoners, not a lot of kids) The average: this is your normal Hampton breakfast. Well, actually the oatmeal is usually not as soupy and the juices have what they are labeled as having, but in general for all the reviews in awe of the breakfast- it's standard. You can hear TV, voices and sneezes from the next room. And hallway doors bang shut very loudly. The bad: the bathroom and entryway are LED lights and bright. The bedroom/couch/desk has 3 small dim lamps. The closet is very small. The fridge has no tiny freezer (we brought reusable ice packs that were useless since we had no freezer). The shower door was not level (would slide open and closed at the bottom with a 2" gap at the top) so the floor would get wet when you shower. The A/C doesn't have the ability to leave the fan on. So the room is either freezing while the A/C is running or stuffy and warm. The housekeeping only comes on request, yet they have an envelope for you to leave a tip for them! They came one time when we didn't request and emptied the trash and left clean towels, which was great, but we were down to 10 squares of toilet paper but they didn't leave any. The cupboard door under the kitchenette sink needs repair. Also the hot tub was warm (not hot) with a mound of sand (from where I gave no idea since there is not a beach here) at the bottom. The bartender was only there 2/5 days he was supposed to be there. The hotel is 100% smoke free but apparently not toke free because there were people smoking weed in several rooms with their doors open as well as outside on their patio. They have very thin, small and rough pool towels that you can exchange for clean/dry ones at the front desk. They charge you $25 each if you steal them (which you would only use for washing the car). Overall it's ok - I would stay here again and recommend it, but probably not as nice as what you'd expect from a Hampton for the price read more

The unfortunate thing is that this might be the cheapest Hilton property in the Keys and you may be tempted to stay. I stayed here while on business and I must say that it isn't convenient to anywhere that a vacationer would want to go. The price certainly doesn't reflect that often over $300 per night. Secondly you notice the rust on the metal legs of the desks and furniture which maybe because of a flood? Lastly they have an ant problem. Tiny little ants that loved to bite my legs. For $300 a night you'd think they could afford a pest control company to come around and spray? I get that it's Florida and you'd get bugs; but it's noticeable especially with the hornet nest above my patio door. On the flip side the pool are and breakfast area are very nice. I did enjoy a few nights after work sitting in the hot tub. It's also a quite hotel without many party's which is rare in the keys. read more

This hotel is incredibly comfortable, from the bedroom to the bathroom. I personally love to have a balcony when I stay a night away from home, and wow this did not disappoint. The sunset views are stunning from here and you're within walking distance from a few restaurants so you can really soak up the Keys. The hospitality from the staff is so comforting, they make it feel like a home away from home and get you anything you need to have a nice stay. The pool is a bit small but there generally aren't too many people around so it's just right. The hot tub is really nice in the afternoon as the pool closes at 10 pm. Their bar serves food from 12-7 pm, we ordered a personal cheese pizza ($8) which was tasty and good portion for one person, and the spinach artichoke dip (I will always order this if it's on the menu...) and its good but I don't recommend as much. They have breakfast in the morning with a great spread. The only overall complaint I have is that our room's air conditioning made a strange sound every few seconds but it's not too big of an issue. This place is brand new at only 2 months old, and let me tell you...what a property! Rates at this Hampton are what you'd find elsewhere, coming in at around $225.00 a night, and what a beautiful place they did with this property; it's so expansive from the front desk, to the Tiki bar that offers alcohol and a nice Happy Hour too! Now that's a plus in my eyes. Another great amenity is that they offer free laundry and dryers too! Just buy or bring your own detergent and you're golden; I've never paid attention of other Hamptons offer this but this place does and what a nice add. Breakfast was very good on the first day with potatoes, ham and scrambled eggs; the next day it was an egg/cheese omelette and sliced kielbasa sausage. They also had the other usual cereal, bagel and homemade waffles. Beds were Hampton excellence and it made the night's sleep so comfortable that I can't wait to visit this property again when in the area. Lastly, I checked out Sunday but had a full day of activities that morning to afternoon; I called the front desk and spoke with "Vi" and asked her if it was possible to get a shower on the way back to Miami since I may have needed it, and she said it was possible, but to stop in to see her. We didn't need it after all, but just the kind gesture of it being there in case I needed it makes me want to come back here even more; this place exemplifies what all Hampton Inns need to operate like. read more

I have been here 4 days, I have at least 4 more days and may extend 4 more! I can not comment on the negative reviews here as I wasn't there.. BUT, I will tell you , I have walked, hung out, spent time and looked at every part of this property that I have access to and it is great!!! The staff is unbelievable!! Friendly, helpful, funny.. they want you to have a good time and enjoy your stay.. and I am!! I have talked to front desk staff, housekeeping, breakfast workers, the dudes cutting the grass.. ohh and the GM! These are regular folks, they care.. My room, a single room with a queen size bed has a large flat screen tv, work station with Ethernet plug as well as USB and 110V plugs.. I have a small sink and counter area, a mid size fridge, a lot of cabinet space, microwave, a safe that is NO extra charge, a fold out couch that is great to sit one... I haven't slept on it . But I might.. very comfortable to sit... A couple stow away ottomans, updated bathroom, huge shower stall, I have a small porch area with 2 chairs and a small table. Water in shower is hot, great pressure , room was clean, carpeted by bed and couch area, some type of tile situation in walkway and bathroom. My room was clean, smelled clean and the AC will freeze you out! I love it! There is a small dock on the water with a few chairs and a table. I sit there have a few beers, watch the boats , enjoy the sun, watch the iguanas.. and relax. There is a very nice pool area with a tiki bar that isn't open at the moment, but it's 15 steps from my room , I can get a beer there. Ohh, the breakfast area is feeling huge!! Breakfast was scrabbled eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes. There is oatmeal, breads, bagels , dry cereal, yogurt... You get it... It's nice.. friendly staff, open on time.. There is an office /business center... I see computers honestly not sure what else. I am on vacation man I am not interested in that, but it's there.. Community bathrooms near front desk are ridiculous!! Wicked huge, spotless.. very very nice Dude.. you are in Marathon Key, this place is empty, I am in paradise. There is a great seafood restaurant across the street, even I can walk there... It's freakin great! On the water, fresh seafood, decent happy hour... There is a boat launch across the street. A Winn Dixie and a Publix 3.8mi south of hotel. Gas station maybe 1000' south of hotel. What more do you need? Check my profile, I am not a shill for Hampton Inn... This hotel is abysmal. Ignore the fancy photos post renno. The fact is the room is in shambles. The hotel is in shambles!! Check-in was impersonal with staff barely acknowledging me. They had the audacity to charge me an incidental hold that they never communicated. And If they charge it, why aren't they using the $ to fix the dents/chipped paint on the walls, chipped soap dish, treat rust in the shower, fix the AC and deal with brown stains on walls (yeah look at my pics). This was a bummer considering this hotel was renovated 2 years ago. What's also upsetting is there was ZERO investment in soundproofing. Got screaming kids/bladder/lover??? Everyone is going to hear it. The two stars is for the convenience and variety at breakfast. Let's began I booked April 12th. I arrived 22nd July 2022. I attempted to checkin via the app via Hilton Honors and wasn't able too. I go to guest relations and I am told my room isn't ready due to it not being cleaned.. although it's now my checkin time and 3p. Mind you I've traveled all morning via plane from Norfolk VA. Waited around approximately 30 mins before asking for a room change. I was emailed about the digital key capability for convenience of coming and going to get into our room and other secure areas without a keycard. Mine isn't working even after checking in. The rep told me something along the lines of well you did book via Expedia. That was totally irrelevant to the situation at hand. A more knowledgeable supervisor later got that issue rectified. Fast forward to today. My husband and I return from lunch in the lower keys and our room hasn't been cleaned nor fresh linen provided. Mind you our room was cleaned yesterday while we were out and now we are being told today we had to have requested room service to clean by 1p. Of course it's 230p and we were not informed upon checkin. This by far has been the worst hotel experience in all my 39 years especially from a subsidiary of Hilton. I will not stay here again upon future visits and it just made my experience lack luster. The guest relations staff needs training Pronto and apparently housekeeping as well. Wish I'd booked elsewhere for the cost compared to the lack thereof of service. Bathroom was dirty even after cleaning the room black mold in the shower crevices old spills not mopped under the sink...yeah definitely wasn't a pleasant stay here. read more

Dropped in for an overnight stay this past Wednesday on a short road trip with my gf from out of town. A bit pricey but since my mister & I always stay at a Hilton /Hampton I was comfortable knowing I'd have a Clean room, comfy bed, nice sheets & proper AC . As soon as my gf & I checked in & walked ( way too many steps !!! ) we were assigned a room in the 'second building' , we put on our bathing suits & headed to the pool for a relaxing swim .... That idea was blown out of the water as we saw lots of children splashing about in the pool that was equipped with water park fountain jets shooting streams of water over the pool surface We waited for 30 minutes for the two couples to get out of the very small hot tub , but by the time they left the kids were making their way there as well ... The accommodations were clean & comfortable ,what I typically expect from a HHI . My bad for not requesting to be closer to the pool & main entrance but I never expected to be in a whole separate building ! Now I know . read more

They actually told me that they will keep my 600.00 if I cancelled. They stated that if you do not use the reservation it will cancel, I will be billed 600.00 and they will rent the same room to someone else. I asked if people that fall ill or test positive for COVID should just come there even though they are contagious and their response was "Oh well". I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. While it looked clean, I was so badly bitten by fleas in my room (over 80 bites) that I have been still ill a week later. Clearly, I was assigned a pet-friendly room that was not pet-cleaned. I have never experienced/heard of an infestation like this. The manager verbally offered to comp one night of my two night stay. When I tried to follow up, she has not been available. Reception said they were trying to find her as well, but other comments say the staff covers for her. Rooms are really nice looking, arranged and large. Everything worked well including the air conditioning in the 90 plus degree temperatures. Still using mask rules in reception area and breakfast is in a bag. Pool and grounds were well taken care of. Pool had a good amount of chairs. Wish the Tiki bar had opened. I have never in my life had such complicated and rude service from a hotel. It is truly bizarre. The general manager is very unpleasant and the staff lies to cover for her. Head office should really check into the management of this hotel, it is beyond deplorable and from comments in this my experience with her is a common occurrence. As a diamond member, I have stayed at Hampton Inns across North America and even more Hilton hotels across their brands, this hotel is sadly not indicative of the service of other Hilton which I have come to be exceptionally loyal too. My advice is to run not walk away from this particular hotel. If any issue is to arise, it is clear that the management will not only not make it right, they will be defiantly rude about it. read more

Booked this hotel as a stop on the way to Key West. Had to cancel our plans due to the Coronavirus. I knew when I made the reservation (with Expedia) it was a non-refundable, but every other reservation I made associated with this trip was more than willing to refund all deposits and prepayments associated with this trip. I called Epedia to cancel, who then called the Hotel to see about a courtesy refund. Front desk manager said it was non-refundable... He was even surprised at there decision. Hampton Inn has lost me as customer. As for the two other Hotels that refunded my money, they will always get my business. read more

Check in was easy, our room was spotless. Great location, but no water views. Some issues with tHe toilet not flushing properly, not a big deal. All employees I encountered were friendly. Al even gave me late check out! However, THE BED!!! HARD! HUGE LUMP IN THE MIDDLE! I knew the property was sold out, so my room couldn't have been changed. We had to sleep sideways it was so bad! I actually liked the layout of the grounds, breakfast was included but.....I am single mom and franchise owner that travels for conferences all the time and I just experienced the Worst manager ever-Jill Campbell.she was so rude, I have never come across such a nasty, unprofessional manager-- she needs to be fired or retrained. Cleaning staff stole drinks from my cooler. Manager hung up on me. Never cleaned my room Saturday-no towels, sticky floors. Hotel had some billing issues and charged my debit card 2x and wrong amount-manager Jill tried to blame me. It was shocking. Never recommend. Very disappointing and hurtful stay with my son. Who I had to leave alone in room while sleeping because I had to call my bank for you to speak with to try and fix. I took my vacation time to deal with YOUR hotels mistakes. read more

This is probably the best hotel that I have ever stayed in! The decoration on the inside of the lobby, food area and the room halls are very homey and fit the theme of the Keys. The rooms are very nice and the room service does a very nice job with cleaning and prettying the room while you are gone. The continental breakfast is much better than other hotels, they have a waffle machine, eggs and meats, cereal and all kinds of bread. Along with the hotel is an infinity pool which is just stunning. The bar is also great with amazing and welcoming bartenders. The only downfall of the hotel is that the "day spa" is only a little warmer than the pool.
