Currently, with me having more issues than Time Magazine, I had to second guess my childhood assertion. And in my first attempt to seek counseling, after more than three decades, I struck gold! Because I found Rachel. Call it fate, call it God, call it karma, call it what you will, but when I began seeing Rachel I had no idea my life was just about to fall apart. And boy, did it ever! Well, good news for me, Rachel was already by my side. Her listening ear, her caring heart, her insight and intuition. What else could you ask for? Regardless if you're asking or not, she has plenty more to offer: Rachel has a genuine, kind heart. The caring that she shows me for our 53 minutes, bleeds well-deep into my week. And in the couple times I was truly going through crisis, she was there for me beyond our weekly hour. Rachel's sense of presence is honestly nothing I've experienced elsewhere--or at least something I've come across very rarely. At no moment have I ever felt she wasn't fully receiving everything I was sharing with her. At no moment have I ever felt she'd rather be somewhere else. At no moment have I ever wondered if she was going to be happy to see me the following week. If you are honestly looking for a counselor who feels like you are visiting a close friend, then I'd highly recommend you try Rachel. If you would like a counselor who is communicative and thoughtful--Rachel's got you there too. If you want a counselor who is reliable, who you can count on. Should I even mention her name again? Then, working with Allie has been a great help with my daughter. It's a fine line to tow with a teenager on how to befriend them but also challenge them without getting ousted. She's built connection with my child and has helped her navigate some strong feelings and emotions she has. She's been able to help us as parents and understand our daughter better ,in a way that's been communicated clearly with my daughter's consent and with respect to confidentiality.
