Only time I have a problem is when they hire a new nurse who thinks they can talk to us any way they want just because we're addicts. First they forgot about me after I checked in and was there for 2 hours. Had to remind everyone that I'm there and need to dose. I go to dose and the new nurse is giving me attitude about my hat. The world won't end if I'm wearing a hat. A hat has no legal or physical ability to make me ineligible for taking methadone. She said she wouldn't do anything or "risk her license over a hat" well it sounds like your DA needs to resign if me wearing a hat twists the DA's panties in a knot. Me wearing a hat literally has no effect on whether I should be able to dose or not. I WILL litigate this if they want to make a deal out of it.

Be warned: whatever you do, don't be three minutes late. Apparently, three minutes is enough to…read moremake your appointment completely worthless. I arrived five minutes early for my appointment. An urgent matter came up, so instead of taking my call inside and disturbing the patients and staff in the waiting room, I stayed in my car and finished the call in the parking lot. I walked through the door just three minutes after my scheduled appointment time. That three minutes apparently mattered more than the fact that I had already arrived early, was physically on the property, and was making an effort to be considerate of everyone inside. The receptionist refused to honor my appointment because their grace period is TWO MINUTES. I'm not exaggerating--that's the policy. What makes it even more absurd is that she acknowledged how unreasonable the rule was, yet still refused to make any exception. Meanwhile, patients can apparently be expected to sit in the waiting room for 40 minutes past their appointment time waiting for the doctor. So the practice gets a 40-minute grace period, but patients get two minutes? That's not customer service. That's a double standard. I drove all the way there, arrived early, tried to be considerate, and still ended up leaving without seeing the doctor because I was three minutes past the appointment time. Thankfully, there are plenty of other healthcare providers who understand that patients are human beings, not clock-in punches. I won't be returning, and I strongly recommend thinking twice before choosing a practice that treats its patients this way.
