I have been seeing Dr. Nikki each week for several weeks in preparation for a natural, calm and peaceful birth (hypnobirth). We started out with sessions to clear any negative thinking I had going on in my personal life and then we moved to working on getting me ready for labor and birth. Dr. Goldman is truly the best at what she does. She takes her time to listen from a standpoint that it not judgmental. She gave me the tools to lead on a happy and independent life. One of the best things she taught me through hypnosis is the ability to be at peace even during the most turbulent of times. Dr Nikki has helped me tremendously. I came to her to seek help for my terrible fear of heights; something I've had all my life. Now, at age 71, I really wanted to join my husband on a hike up beautiful Mt Whitney. I had seen videos of the hike and, although gorgeous, I noted some extremely scary areas that I was sure I could not navigate. I looked up "hypnotherapy" and decided to try Dr Nikki. I felt very comfortable with her immediately and left there after my first session with a lot of hope. After my second session I visited the Grand Canyon and was amazed at how much more relaxed I was around the heights even though there were still areas I felt uncomfortable in. After my 4th session my husband & I headed for Mt Whitney and began our hike. My husband was amazed at the areas that I comfortably ascended, close to the edge, without trepidation. I felt safer than ever before and remembered Dr Nikki's voice saying , "Look where you want to go". Unfortunately, on the second day, lightening and hail brought our hike to an abrupt end, unable to complete the trek to the summit at the advice of the ranger. My main issue, before seeing Dr. Nikki, was a fear of flying due to SEVERE CLAUSTROPHOBIA which I had for 15 years. When I started looking for a therapist, I had already purchased plane tickets for myself and my two kids to go see my family who lives overseas. And I had 3 weeks to quickly get over it before the trip- And Dr. Nikki made it happen after just two sessions with her specifically for this phobia. Dr. Nikki's method is refreshingly positive and time-efficient. It is actually brilliant. We spent talking about my problems for literally just three minutes or so of the first session (unlike sessions with my previous therapists who focused on discussing past traumas), and the rest of the full fifty-plus minutes were all about relaxing and detoxing. I have seen her three times so far, and each time I see her, I cry and I laugh, and she gives me a plenty of time to get all emotions out. She also notes my shallow breathing or use of negative language and helps me remember to break the vicious cycle. She has also taught me a simple and easy way to meditate. I am in such a relaxed state of mind throughout the session that I am able to absorb all her positive input like a sponge. And after a satisfying, fulfilling session, I get myself up feeling full of energy, amazingly refreshed. I feel like I just took a long restful nap. It is truly an emotional spa-experience. I actually began writing this review as I was flying on the airplane, during my 11-hour flight. The cabin still looked the same and all the stuff that used to make me panicky still happened - the low ceiling, the narrow walls, the reclined seat in front of me, the food cart next to me, the long lines in front of the bathrooms -yet I had NOT EVENT A SINGLE PANIC ATTACK. My mind remained calm, and I actually enjoyed the flight for the first time in 15 years. This is all because of the help from Dr. Nikki.
