This is my second time living at this complex and I am so happy with my decision. If you are looking for a peaceful place to live in surrounded by nature and a safe residential area where you can take your dogs on long walks or go for a run, this is it. I've lived here since November of last year, and I don't have any terrible complaints about Tramor at Hunter's Glen. I do, however, have a few issues with the security company, Ranger Protection, which Tramor contracts. My $1,200 e-bike was stolen from my balcony in June, and my next door neighbor had their car broken into multiple times. They would rather harass us about pool curfew than actually doing their f%*king job (monitor the grounds for any suspicious or criminal activity). Anyways, I don't hate it here, but if you sign a lease here, proceed with caution. read more

Anyone leaving a bad review is probably just stuck up and entitled. this place is AMAZING, so cozy and the community is great. it feels save and homey. leasing office is responsive, maintenance is friendly and on top of things. it's no LUXURY apartment but it's perfect for people who are on a budget :) fantastic for its price. cannot express how happy i am with my home here :) they were very happy to accept my ESA letters so i don't have to pay pet rent. truly a gem. taylor is AMAZING she gave me my tour and answered so many of my questions and was so friendly! give her a raise or something!!!! so excited for the rest of my time here :) i hope it is several years!!!! read more

I absolutely love my apartment here at Hunter's Glen!!! I have been here for a little over 4 months now and haven't really had any major issues, unlike the last apartment complex I lived in. Everyone here is super friendly, the office staff is great and genuinely seem to care about you and are very helpful, plus the mantinence staff can and will repair whatever you need fixed and if the don't have a part then they will let you know and keep you updated until they can fix it. The apartment is also super spacious and clean. This is honestly the best apartment I have ever lived at!!! read more

I previously rated this place 5 stars. I've lived here 8 years. It was great until this last year. The apartment across from me is rented to I don't know how many people and 2 large dogs. They just open the door and let the dogs out and do not clean up after them. I can't count the times I've come downstairs to giant piles of dog poo. I've complained multiple times to management to no avail. Then someone moved in across the courtyard that likes to do woodworking. 10 a.m. on a Sunday morning and power tools running not very peaceful. Again I complained to management who did nothing. I had to confront him to get it to stop. The last straw was this morning. 7 AM Sunday morning and some guy was on my neighbor's patio beating on the door screaming to be let in. I had to call the police. I used to feel this was a hidden jewel. Convenient location and reasonably priced for south Austin. Now it's just becoming just another ghetto apartment complex. So if you're an irresponsible dog owner that loves the sound of power tools and crazy people this is the place for you. read more

I have lived here for close to two months now, moved here from out of state & took a gamble by signing a lease for an apartment after only seeing pictures online! Thankfully, it worked out. My apartment was clean & decently touched up, move in ready. I have not had any problems so far, I feel like the complex has a great mix of young professionals, older folk & families. Super dog friendly, which obviously means theres a fair share of irresponsible owners who do not pick up their dogs waste (frustrating, but some days are better than others). The management office is amazing, sweetest people work here & are very down to earth. Maintenance isnt something I really needed thus far but when I just needed a lightbulb changed they did it within 24 hours. I trust that they are timely with fixing things. I walk my dogs at all times of the night or early day & feel generally safe. The nearby neighborhood is nice, safe & homey overall. Decent park for a stroll or dog walk minutes away walking distance, mechanics, & gas station right around the corner. Summermoon coffee down the street, ample parking on complex grounds, AFD station down the block, quick drive to basically everything. I am Happy here & I dont see myself leaving anytime soon unless I'm buying a home. If youre looking for fancy modern complex & a bunch of amenities, this place isnt for ya. If youre a simpleton who wants to be close enough to the fun but far enough to just chill, this is it. Also, no crazy bugs or pests so far either! I have just moved in and really like the area. The front office has very nice people working there. My apartment was very clean and I just love the floors. I really like the smaller complex. I looked at many places trying to get the feel of them and I came back here. I love the trees and right now it seems to be a quite neighborhood. I had a wonderful welcome basket sitting there that had things in it that I needed right away, very thoughtful. I like it, I want to stay! read more

I have lived here since October 2018. While apartment living is a challenge for me (I prefer country living), there are many blessings, here at Hunters. Hayley, in the office is amazing! She is so bright and cheery! She has a wonderful people personality, and is so very kind! When I've sent her an email, popped in the office, or called. She has taken care of everything! I have lived here for about a year now and I can tell you from first hand experience the good and the bad. The good: Location is great. Apartments are not roach infested. Ample parking. Good neighborhood. Friendly staff. The bad: They never replace appliances or update their equipment. The laundry room equipment is all old and out dated and has not worked properly in years. The staff is aware of it but they continue to patch it up rather than buy new equipment. It is unbelievably frustrating considering they just updated their front office and the exterior of several apartments, yet it's all show. These things never dry properly and the washer's routinely skip the dry cycle, so my clothes come out super wet. I have informed the staff several times over the last year about this, but they refuse to update their equipment. Furthermore, our stove has not worked properly since I moved in. My roommate has been here 3 years and has told me both the stove and the laundry room equipment has had issues for that long. Our stove does not even work on the bake cycle. We have to use broil for everything. Just last week it blew a fuse and one of the coils went out. So they come in and replace a coil instead of the whole thing. They are so cheap at this place, but don't you dare miss a late payment or they'll threaten to evict you within 10 days. Like most places they are only interested in getting you in the front door. They hire pretty girls at the leasing office that give you lip service and are super polite, but don't expect them to deliver on their promises. They update the exterior of buildings but can care less about appliances that need to be replaced. Another annoyance is the weekly leaf-blower guys. Rather than do their job and rake up the leaves, they just blow them around the property every week and it never gets cleaned up. I have worked as a groundskeeper before and this type of thing would not be tolerated by any reputable lawn service or maintenance company. It's ridiculous and super intrusive when you are trying to either sleep or get some work done in the morning. I am actually a very nice person, and I have given these people several chances to get their act together. I don't just get on Yelp to flame people one day. But eventually one needs to step up and say something. I'm sick of this place. read more

So far so good in terms of hospitality. Ilene seems like a caring, spunky and upfront person. I'm an Austin transplant so trying to find an apartment when I was a good distance away was challenging; but Ilene definitely proved to be a valuable asset. I will say that not being able to view the unit until my move in date made me incredibly uncomfortable. After viewing my unit for the first time yesterday, I feel that I would have benefited greatly if I had viewed it beforehand to see what my other options were in the area. With that being said, if you're happy with the management and you don't mind not viewing the unit beforehand definitely come speak with them they are good people. But if any part of you is uncomfortable with that arrangement I strongly advise you to keep looking. read more

I have been at Hunter Glen now for 7 months now. It's all mostly positive! Our apartment is spacious, newly renovated (appliances-stove, wish it was gas, fridge and dishwasher) only carpet in the bedroom, making it much easier to clean! Laundry hook ups which is nice. Bathroom is fairly large as well which is always a plus in apartments. Lots of storage space in the kitchen as well which was the most important thing for me being a chef! Breigh has always been very helpful and pleasant to work with! My only real negative is the apartment is a little drafty, can get a little warm in the summer and cold in the winter. But that's a minor issue at best. One more thing, location is great close to all 3 major freeways in austin, I35, 290 and 1. And shopping only 10 minutes away, downtown is 20 minutes at most! Overall a great experience for myself and fiancé having just move to Texas. read more

This place is a dump. The walls are extremely thin, so thin that I can hear my upstairs neighbor peeing or simply walking. It's extremely annoying. Maintenance is unskilled and the management will lie to you if it serves their needs. The parking lot is a substandard hell that will ruin your car. The way they handled the winter storm crisis was a disgrace. They didn't even notify the tenants that they are going to shut down the water to the entire complex. There was no water for 6 days and they didn't start making moves until day 5. Do yourself a favor and spend your money elsewhere. read more

As a young woman living alone for the first time, I feel very safe in the community and have had mostly positive interactions with neighbors. The ladies at the office are super kind and helpful, and maintenance issues are fixed quickly. When I moved in, my apartment had new floors and appliances. My husband and I have lived at Hunter's Glen for nearly 4 years now and we absolutely love it here. The front office staff are extremely warm and personable, yet always professional. They are very quick to return calls on the off chance they miss them in the first place. Seriously, excellent phone service here. We have always felt like if absolutely anything is wrong we can pick up the phone and get immediate on-demand help. They always have the answers we need, and they address all of our concerns promptly. The apartment units themselves are great! They may not be as modern as some of the newer constructions popping up around Austin. If you're looking for brand spanking new luxury apartments with all the modern trimmings these may not meet your expectations. That's not really within the control of Tramor since this complex was probably built in the 70's or 80's. And, what they lack in modern design they more than make up for with constant renovations and improvements. They are always installing new floors, doors, fixtures, appliances, and doing anything they can do to maintain the quality of the unit. Besides, my husband and I love the feel and ambiance of the complex as a whole. The community demographics are mostly working professionals or families with small children. We rarely have any noise complaints at all. On weekends and holidays the swimming pool is filled with kids laughing and playing, and the barbecue grills are being used for cookouts. It seriously is a refreshing sight. Living in the city can feel pretty lonely sometimes and it's great to see families and friends celebrating. It feels like our own little neighborhood here. A lot of the residents live here for long periods of time. My husband and I have lived here for nearly 4 years now, about to sign up for a fifth year, and our upstairs neighbors have lived here even longer than us. I think that says a lot given the availability of apartment options in Austin. When a complex has low turnover in a rapidly growing city you know they're doing something right. We have Google Fiber and Spectrum hookups here. Which is great because a little known secret is that you can get 100% free internet from Google Fiber if you select their basic plan. So, it's great living in a place that's Fiber ready. that's money saved. Many of the appliances are new. we had brand new stove, refrigerator, and dishwasher when we moved in. And when we got pregnant last year the apartment agreed to replace the carpeting in our bedroom with hard flooring to help keep things cleaner. The neighborhood is great also. Cunningham Elementary is literally across the street. There are crossing guards out there every morning helping kiddos cross safely to school. I think nearly all of the small children here walk to school with their parents in the morning, and that's a great sight to see. There's a fire station less than a block away, but you rarely hear any disturbances. There's Garrison Park across the street as well. There's a gas station, Sprout's grocery, Summer Moon Coffee, and so much more all within a block or two. There is also North and South bound Capital Metro stops right on Manchaca within walking distance. Last year our car's transmission went out and we had to take the bus everywhere until it was fixed. It took no time at all. Full disclosure, the only things we have found that we didn't like in these apartments are the wall outlets can be pretty loose and inconveniently placed, and the on-site laundry facility isn't the greatest. They did just build a brand new facility with brand new card-reading machines and all just last year. It was so, so nice. But, then within weeks a lot of the machines started breaking down. I really think that was due mostly to misuse by the tenants more than anything. What can you do? A lot of people simply don't respect public facilities the way they should unfortunately. The apartment staff was always great about fixing the machines right away. And as far as the outlets go, again it's not anyone's fault that the construction is a bit older than the rest. But, it's nothing some patience and an extension cord here or there won't fix. And I think that if after 4 years that's the worst you can say about an apartment you've got it pretty good. All in all, if you're looking for a quiet, family oriented, pet friendly, perfectly located apartment with personal attention from the staff then look no further than Tramor at Hunter's Glen. South Austin is a rapidly expanding hub and it's becoming increasingly difficult to find a quiet but centrally located apartment. Forget anything on or near South Congress (Unless you enjoy tiny spaces, noisy neighbors, and horrible parking) and come give Hunter's Glen a shot. read more

An older complex with thin walls but well maintained. I have had really nice neighbors and no issues with them. The office staff has always been very friendly and extremely helpful. Breigh always has a smile and is is great to talk with. I have had a few minor issues with the apartment over the 2 plus years I have lived here but just regular wear and tear stuff. The maintenance staff has always been prompt to fix everything and professional about everything. I hope the front office staff and maintenance are this good at the next place I rent from! read more

Hunter's Glen is a little gem in south Austin! Have lived here about 6 mo and we have really enjoyed it. 2/1 setup is super cute and well laid out. Everyone in the office is friendly and helpful. The complex is nice and quiet and close to everything you need. Sprouts, CVS, a great Vietnamese restaurant all within walking distance. You can also grab the #3 bus downtown! read more

We have lived here for years-- maybe 5 or 6. I echo positive comments. If you are looking for somewhere relatively cheap and care-free in Austin, these apartments are a good choice. The front office folks have treated us very well. The buildings are older, so there is wear and tear, but the plumbing is not made of garden hose, and the few maintenance calls we have had to make have been serviced withing a day. The landscaping and parking lots are probably the worst features, which is why I give 4 stars rather than 5. At least one parking lot fills with water (I don't think any units flood), and trees/lawns receive indifferent care, but this is not a bitter complaint. The residents have been generally quiet, friendly, and noisy/troubling problems are dealt with efficiently. Did I say quiet? read more

So I used to be a tenant here and I just called them to get some information about a pending balance on my credit account. When I called an extremely rude and uneducated woman answered the phone and told me that I had to call "Alex because he is the one who takes care of all of that". I didnt call in a heat of rage and I was very calm when I asked my question about the bill. I was in no way hostile to this woman and the way she answered was uncalled for. Also, I am NOT on first name basis with these people so telling me to call back for Alex made no sense either (crackhead). THIS is the type of thing you WILL have to deal with living here. I forgot how ridiculous the staff was. I am NOT the type of person to go out of my way to write reviews. Good or bad. But this particular situation hit a nerve. If you want to be treated with respect, dont move into this sh** hole. read more

Under no circumstances should you rent here. Period. If I could go back in time, I'd punch myself in the face for renting here. I'll enumerate my gripes now. 1. You'll pull in and go to the leasing office and think "wow, this joint looks pretty nice". Yeah. its not. That's the nicest part of the whole place and nothing else even approaches it. 2. The pool is disgusting. I can seldom see the bottom and when I can its filthy. Its also frequented by non-residents. 3. The grounds are not well kept. Well, they mow the lawn regularly so there's that. When it rains, the whole place gets super muddy. Don't go in the grass anyway because there is dog poop EVERYWHERE. Also, the foundations of the buildings are visible and crumbling. 4. Constant struggles with insects and mice. 5. Something breaks. Deal with it for awhile. Then someone will show up and be condescending before they "fix" it. 6. You never see your actual unit before you move in. They show you the model which, to be fair, is pretty nice. 7. Parking sucks in a lot of the complex though in others its not so bad. Depends on where you end up. 8. The walls are paper thin. You can hear everything. 9. Some of my appliances came broken. The handle on my stove was held together by black electrical tape. It failed the first time I opened the broiler. That was to look for a mouse I had just chased by the way. 10. Despite all of these things, when the first of the month comes around you'd best have their money because the late fees are pretty staggering (IMO). Thats all I have for now. It makes me visibly angry when I pay the (admittedly cheap) rent every month. I'm counting the days until the end of my lease. read more

I love these apts! The grounds are well kept, the staff is so sweet, and for the price you can't beat it! I feel completely safe in this complex with the elementary school across the street, the CU in front of the block and the church behind the complex. I strongly recommend this if you are looking for a safe, homey neighborhood that is inexpensive. I have never had any problems with this complex, and I wouldn't have moved if their 2/2 had been just a bit bigger. Wonderful place though! read more

my sister has just moved in and they refuse to replace the bedroom carpet which has set in pet stains and the smell is awful. There was also a dead bird on the patio. I work in the industry and would never shame my company by letting someone move into an apartment like that. It is embarrassing for them and disgusting for my sister. I hope they come around to replacing it or I will personally go to the apartment association with this. read more

I've lived here for going on three years. At first, it seemed great, it is in a nice neighborhood, the office staff are nice and professional, and it was pretty affordable. But! The last 6 months have been really bad. When I renewed my lease, rent was raised almost $100 a month, they charge silly fees for pest control, and the water bill is almost $60 a month. They also started making it mandatory for you to have renter's insurance. They once had a security guard to come and check the premises, but not anymore. Too bad, since now you are likely to hear drunks late at night, or people arguing, on a regular basis. They have a mediocre maintenance staff of only 2 workers for the whole complex which is something like 250 units. It took 4 weeks to fix a maintenance issue I had. If the above things were addressed, I think I would give it 4 stars. I will not be renewing my lease when it's due for renewal! read more

Staff was polite and kind. I had a problem with my toilet and it was promptly replaced with a brand new one. Like any other apartment complex that is reviewed, you need to watch out for people breaking into your car or stealing things off of your porch/balcony. Also, do not leave clothes unattended in the laundry room...I made that mistake once. The apartments are older, but clean. Appliances could use an upgrade. The pool is small and kind of a bummer...I never used it. There is also no gym. A lot of families with kids, which means noisy. Not a lot of space for dogs to roam, but there is a playground if you have kids. I got my full deposit back. Affordable and all in all a pretty good complex. read more

Super thin walls you can hear everything your neighbors are doing, maintenance never actually fixes anything they just rig it, the office never answers, it's like no one works here, the washers and dryers have not been working for years and they won't replace them. Overall this is a very old complex with LOTS of problems that they refuse to fix. Save yourself the trouble and don't move here, I would never recommended this property. read more

I have lived at this complex for 10 months and just renewed my lease for another year. It is a nice place to live....I have new flooring in my apartment (vinyl which looks like wood & carpet in the bedroom) which was in great shape upon move-in. I got to see my unit before moving in so I knew exactly what I was getting. The black appliances are new and work great. The office staff is very friendly and my maintenance requests are always responded to IMMEDIATELY, even when my movers screwed up the washer/dryer hook-up's they fixed it! My only issue is the parking which is not the fault of the management - I think it's every apartment complex in Austin, lol. My rent is reasonably priced and I am happy here :) read more

Terrible and unsafe apartment complex. I guarantee your car will be broken into within 2 months of living here. The staff is friendly but they do not care about you. Your appliances will not work properly and your pipes will leak. The maintenance staff will come by and check it out but not do anything about it. You will be reassured 1000 times that your problems will be addressed but nothing will happen. Do yourself a favor and do not move to Hunters Glen or any of the other Tramor Properties. read more

Hunter's Glen has an extrordinary staff. Ilene and Kelly are willing to do whatever it takes to provide great service to their tenants. The complex sits in a great south Austin location directly across from Cunningham Elementary school and is near major buslines. The rent is reasonable and the grounds are well kept. In the seven months I spent there I never had any trouble with parking, maintenance, bad neighbors or any other complaints common to apartment living. Overall it's a great place. read more

My friend just moved out because her lease was not renewed. She was mugged in the parking lot, and she called the police. Her rent was increased 34%, and she did negotiate with them to lower the rent because when she rented from them they told her they would not go up more than 10%. She had a witness to that, but they still kept about a 20% increase. Well, she felt it was cheaper to stay than move because it does cost to move. Then her lock broke. She asked to have it repaired. They repaired it. Then her lock broke again, and again they repaired it. Then it broke again. She called from work, having gone to work and left the apartment unlocked. Her boss heard her call and leave the message. When she got the machine, she left a message at 9 a.m. that morning. Again, she called about 3:30 that afternoon with another boss listening. Now, they answered and told her that her lock was not an emergency, and they would repair it the next day. When she got home that night, she met the burglar emerging from her apartment. $300.00 in material stolen including an angel tree item purchased with several other people. They recollected the money for it, but she asked the apartments to do that, and they refused. Had they repaired the lock, it would have been taken care of. It also makes one think that someone in the office at the time knew the apartment was unlocked and vulnerable. I am not saying the staff because they would have been obvious, but whoever happened to be in there at that time. Maybe not. She could have been killed by the burglar as well. As it was, he just knocked her into the stair rail. Finally, her car was broken into. She called the office, and they never responded. As she was talking to a couple of other people, she learned 20 cars total had een vandalized that night. Also, they left a garden hose stretched across the lawn, so my friend and another friend fell over it in the dark. They were not hurt badly, but when my friend called, the apartments never called back to check on her. How uncaring. That was the same week her cable had been out and when the cable company came to repair it, they discovered that someone new in her building had tried to hijack her cable. Yet, they asked my friend, the good rent payer, to move out. Why? Why not evict the hijacker? That is theft! Yes, theft. Why did she get her lease not renewed. On top of all that, she has been going through chemo and residual problems for 8 months now. Why are they so uncaring. The apartments are not new, but my friend did not mind that. There are no rails on the steps which lead to the buildings. There are rails going up to the second floor, but there are not rails going up to the buildings. It is not a bad neighborhood, but the staff does not seem to care about the safety. Good luck renting from them. Caring at first to lure you in and then you sink while swimming in their murky waters.
