Otto emailed me back and told me to come in and the first workout was on him. I showed up with my gloves and wraps all the way from San Diego. Let me tell you, this place is badass! It's located inside an old brick building. It has the feel of an old school boxing gym with a modern touch. I was greeted by Cauleen (I hope that's how you spell her name) at the front desk and she put the group through a tough boxing workout. She even held the pads for each person, that was cool as f&@k! I was able to hit the fight club 3 out of the 5 days I was in town. Each workout was different and you throw lots of different combinations! If you live in Milwaukee or the surrounding area I suggest you give this fight club a try. P.S. I noticed next door they also have a CrossFit gym. I didn't use it but I looked inside and it also looked really nice. If that's your thing you should try that. I appreciate the warm welcome and when I visit, I'll be back. Thanks

What an incredible thing Otto and his team have built. With several class offerings, an inclusive…read moreand energetic atmosphere, and facilities that make you feel like you're training to fight Ali himself, Dropout Fight Club is something you need to experience. All it took was one class and I'm a believer. Typically I'm not one to attend fitness classes because most of them are things you can do in just about any gym. That's not the case at Dropout. They not only run you through a high intensity workout, but teach you boxing fundamentals along the way. Walker was the instructor for my small class on a Friday evening and he did a killer job. He encouraged us to work hard all class, but was also supportive if someone felt they needed a break. And most likely you will need a break at some point! It was four rounds of high intensity bag work and functional fitness movements. Without a doubt, Dropout Fight Club gave me one of the best workouts of my life. Classes are a little on the pricey side, but they offer a truly phenomenal experience that you just can't get anywhere else. It is absolutely worth every penny. The only negative about Dropout Fight Club is that you can't see it from the road. The address listed takes you to what looks like an abandoned warehouse (actually it was a battery factory), but the gym is way in the back of the building. I've included a couple of pictures to help first timers find there way in. If you park on Keefe, you can walk around the fence to a gate that lets you into the parking lot. From there you walk all the way to the back and you'll see the sign. Once inside the building there are several businesses already running or being built. The grunge of the building makes it feel like you're walking into an underground fight club. All in all, I give Dropout my highest recommendation. I hope to see this business thrive over the next few years.

The Head Coach will sound genuine, supportive, in control, intuitive, and knowledgeable. But as…read moretime passes, you will notice what comes out of his mouth is profoundly pretense. He will try to bait your ego/dreams/fears, latching on and gaslighting you into believing he is a 'god'-whom you are grateful to serve. In other words, it's the classic cultish exploit, where he gives you the compliments you wish/lack, subsequently making you want to believe in the rest of what he preaches. All this craziness is at the expense of your money(costs that hint at insanity or a scam), time, and neural pathways. Of course, boxing comes with the territory of sacrifice, whereas with this gym, all those I see leaving come out short-handed with new problems. If you want to learn boxing, go to a gym with heavy bags and 'USE' the 'INTERNET' to learn, it's 'FREE' with 'UNLIMITED' pools of data and experience. Of course, if you want to be surrounded by people in that world to get a taste of it, go to some other boxing gym or a hybrid of MMA. Amc will only be the gym for you if you are rich, immortal, and want to feel special. Don't let him become the answer to your success; you already have someone nearby who can do that for themselves.

A friend told me about IFF (and trainer Shannon) and I finally got up enough guts to check it out with the 2 week trial. I was hooked after the first class. Shannon is positive, energetic, motivating, and supportive. He challenges you while also assisting with any needed adjustments. The classes are tough - but you can go at your own pace, too. The center is split up into two parts: a small gym (personal training, workouts on your own if you choose) and a group fitness room. Classes range from Core to Kickboxing, with others thrown in for variety, including some Insanity-type workouts. Memberships are monthly and you can adjust them to fit your needs (several times a week vs. unlimited, etc.). As a former martial arts student for many years, I really enjoy this aspect of the classes! I know these types of workouts aren't for everyone, but they're perfect for me. I always leave sweaty and tired, but feeling better because I came. I love the small, community feel here and have been so thrilled with my experience thus far. On top of that - I'm seeing results...both physically and mentally. What a difference, truly, a great workout outlet makes! Thanks so much to Shannon and the IFF crew.

I started yoga 9 years ago, and have been going to Yogarithm for 5 years. There are different types…read moreof classes--including beginner, flow, core and a detox class held on weekends. Melissa also offers a lot of variety of retreats. There are tie-die classes where you tie-die a yoga tee after class. I've been to yoga on the beach at Kenosha (loved it!), there have been musicians who come to play during class, yoga at the art museum, at the holidays you could choose to get a meditation bead at every class and then make a bracelet at the end of the holidays. Gosh--some classes have aromatherapy. Weekends offer a rise 'n rock class where you blast out of your rut with songs from Metallica, Pink Floyd, Women of the 80s, the Beatles. It's a class I can't miss, to be honest. In the past 5 years I've torn my meniscus from falling off a water park slide, broken my left toe, sprained an ankle--and every time I get an injury I come back to yoga to get back recover. This class keeps me flexible, gives me some pretty impressive strength (which supporting your own body weight can do!) and helps me mellow out after a rough week. The few times I've had to go without yoga for a few weeks I find I am stiffer, my hip and back hurt more, my knee aches constantly (from the torn meniscus) and the aches of sitting at a desk all day come crashing in on me. If you're new to yoga, this might be a great class to check out. It's friendly, there are loaner mats you can get, classes vary and you can find one just your speed, there are classes in the day, evenings and on weekends, and as mention by another poster--Aveda tea. Melissa isn't afraid to try something new--the last few months she's had a foam roller class that is challenging and effective. Something new is always being added.Angela, another yoga instructor, brings a very mindful and meditative approach to her classes, which makes it a must-go for me when I need to stretch, build some muscle and then chill the f-out! Ah--forgot to also mention that Melissa offers private instruction, so if you're feeling a bit shy, or have particular issues you want to work on, then you can take a one-on-one class or get together a few of your friends.

I was hesitant at first, as I did not know how I would like it. The first time I came into this studio (in the basement level of a salon), they had Aveda licorice mint tea hot and ready. The tea is delish, and automatically warmed and relaxed you. Melissa's style is inviting, but challenges you. You will never have the same sequence twice, she always mixes her routines up- which I love as every day after, I would be sore! Since graduating, I had to leave Yogarithm. I now live in Chicago and have been to many studios in the north side and the South loop, no other instructor can even come close to Melissa. Big plus: the price is very reasonable (get monthly unlimited!) a quarter of what I pay in the city. The instructor listens to her students, provides a variety, and is very pleasant! I still get her newsletter and Yogarithm always has something new and fun going on (come on Yoga and Live Music.)..! Hands down best studio I've been to! I wish I lived in Kenosha again...
