I have this image of him cowering in the corner of a 5' cell without windows alone all day with staff occasionally trying to get him to do stuff. Yes, our dog is anxious, but we let the staff know that during drop off and over the phone beforehand. When I picked him up, it was clear from the staff that our dog did very little during his 8 hours at the facility. Additionally, I was put off that the area where he was all day was "staff only" - no webcam? Finally - I did not read anywhere that he would not be wearing his collar all day at the facility. We have a GPS on it for his security.

He was a rescue from a hoarding situation and apparently had never been trained to do anything, but when SMS sent the first video to my phone all we could say was, "Is that our dog!?" The trainer was absolutely excellent, going through everything step-by-step, and answering all of our questions. The facility itself is awesome with huge training rooms that are clean and odor free. We've gone through 3 training sessions and will have one of the trainers out to the house after we've spent a week or so doing home training.

We just got our second golden retriever puppy from Famn Damily Farm. We got our first a year and a…read morehalf ago. Both dogs are beautiful, incredibly healthy, and have been amazing additions to our family. And I really can't say enough good things about Famn Damily. I've been there twice now. With my family. In both cases we drove 240 miles to get there, just because we realized what a special place it is, and because we knew we didn't want to get our puppies from any place else. You set foot on the farm, and you see dogs that are truly living their best lives. They have so much space to run and play, they are so well cared for, and so loved, and so clearly happy!! And healthy. And the facilities that have been constructed for the dogs, that clearly took a great deal of time, money and effort to build, are very impressive. Melodie Hammond runs the farm.
