There are large areas for the dogs to play and romp. We know how much our dog loves them as soon as we arrive. She walks away with Rick to go to the kennel with nary a look back. Our dog had a medical crisis this past weekend, while in their care. They immediately recognized what was happening and the seriousness of it. They rushed her off to Cornell and made arrangements for surgery, etc. They couldn't get ahold of us at the minute, so they took financial responsibility so as to not delay her care. They saved her life without a doubt, but more than that, because of their quick action, she did not suffer any more than she had to, and is expected to make a full recovery. We can not say enough good things about Barb snd Rick. They are great kennel owners and really great people. If you are looking for a kennel in the Ithaca area, we can not recommend them enough.

They sent her back with a clean bill of health, I asked about it again and they asked "What bump?" (it was the size of an egg on her right front leg). -They charged me for a yearly checkup again 4 months later and when I called to ask, they told me it was required. - After a year of sluggish behavior and a couple visits, we eventually researched enough ourselves to suggest thyroid, they confirmed with a test and got him on meds - They won't give me enough meds to get me to my new vet's appointment date. They insist I should put her down. She was so close to death I wanted her to pass at home where she's comfortable, not scared to death in a sterile environment. I ask about cremation. They tell me if I want the ashes back it's $600. I quickly learn that the local animal hospital charges $120. My cat died peacefully the next morning in her bed. They also convinced me in my grief to buy a $75 medication that may get her to eat again. This cat was done eating. Then, not the health dept, but a coworker reaches out to me, I tell him all of the above, and I add that I cannot understand how your nurse was surprised that a sick dying scared cat bit her, my cat doesn't have rabies, and stop contacting me. This place also about 3 years ago saw My cat, said she had asthma, and gave me the shadiest instructions to contact a Canadian 3rd party pharmacy for the medicine and the face harness. She didn't have asthma, our old house was just dusty and her symptoms went away immediately after we moved. Total scammers.

She called me three times each call was confusing. The first call was to say there's other applicants ahead of me and that when they were approved they would receive the cat. So I asked if should still drive almost two hours one way to meet the cat if other people are eligible and ahead of me. The lady answer calls took a lot of offense to my question saying I should come meet it even if I won't get it. Also I forgot to fill out one part. I filled out the second part I didnt notice. Second call she told me my cat I have isn't at the vet I provided I explained my cat has always went there and it may be under a different last name. She at this point was just rude tell me it was such an inconvenience to be on hold with my vet for less then ten minutes and that she's already gone out of her way and is "jumping through hoops for me". By calling my vet and doing her job ??? Said I'd need call them and have them fax over the info for my car I already have she was yelling at me cutting me off nonstop. Said my cat wasn't vaccinated. So at this point I gave up she has been nothing but rude yelling at me not letting me speak over simple fixes like resending the application. She called me a third time not sure why said she had reached out to my vet again and still nothing. She then cut me off and said I had been cutting her off, yelling and being disrespectful. I actually began to cry because she was speaking to me in such a rude way. All I had done was try and be polite and work with her. I never yelled at her or was disrespectful. At this point I said I wasn't interesting in adopting anymore. I will from now on avoid the cat sanctuary. I've never been treated like that..

We were not notified, nor was a vet consulted at the time of injury. By the time we fetched our pup 2-3 days later (Kevin could not say when it had happened) and discovered the half-dollar-sized wound, it was too late for our vet to apply stitches. We provided oral and topical antibiotics, performed ongoing, twice-daily soaking treatments, and revisited the vet, all of which led to eventual healing. Kevin did not call to check on the dog, did not offer reimbursement for vet or kennel fees, did not seem to feel any remorse for having inflicted damage to our dog (apparently due to "backing up the wheelchair"). Very worrisome and disappointing.

It was so great to get pictures/videos of Bella having such a good time and playing with the other dogs boarding at the same time.
