Looking for a professional groomer? Look elsewhere! Plush Spa is a joke. We switched from a big box…read morepet store to support local and we made a big mistake putting our trust in Plush Spa. We've been taking our dog here for a couple years now and have had all positive experiences until our most recent appointment. We are very specific with how our dog gets trimmed and it's never been a problem before. When we dropped him off, we went over the details and thought it would be another regular visit. We got a text letting us now our dog was ready and we paid and tipped before seeing him... all because that's what Plush Spa requests. Big red flag looking back. We get there and realize they've done the complete opposite of what we've asked for. He's got long hair where we asked for it short and short hair where we have never once asked for it to be cut back. We are baffled. It looks like a child found scissors and the dog was the unfortunate target. When we tried to address our concerns with the owner, she became defensive and refused to admit any wrongdoing. Basically, finding any excuse to blame us. She wouldn't even give us the tip back, let alone a refund. We will never return here and look forward to warning others.

We were informed after our service that dremeling was $12 EXTRA and filing is $8 after a $65 grooming appointment where nail clipping is included. We are not happy with the groomer or the owner as when we brought up our concerns we could barely get a word in edge wise and we were wrong in their eye. I am worried about my 7 year old niece being scratched up by my DOG. And if it was a scab, why was there a ton of dry blood less than an hour later? And my dog wears a harness, not a collar, and only outside. So I would've felt it before. Just take responsibility and stop making excuses. Not coming back here. They were friendly enough and the cut was fine, but they failed to mentioned that they cut my dog in two different areas on his neck. When I called to find out what happened, the groomer said that he'd had a wart and it was cut. Well A) no he didn't. I think I'd know if he had since I pet him every day. And B) even if he did, they still should've told me that they cut him.

I have a little anti-social monster that terrifies everyone except for our local dog whisperer (Christine). My dog King was so happy that after two weeks of being away at the Kennel, he did not want to return home with me.. King fell in love! When it was time for me to pick up my pups, I got to Lafayette Kennels super late because of delayed flights. It was around 11pm and I was supposed to pick them up at 6. However, Christine was playing with them calmly until I got there. I could not have asked for a better experience. Can't wait to go back!

Our regular kennels back home were all booked up so we needed to take them with us but board them close to the Fairgrounds. Christine made us feel very comfortable with boarding them there. She was just as organized when we picked them back up. Our dogs were happy and freshly bathed when we returned for them. We felt it was a good value and gave us piece of mind. No stress for us - no stress for the dogs! Her location is easy to find - easy on/off 81. Thanks Christine!
