I don't much to say except, this is the best Corndog in the country! Don't miss this food cart…read morelocated in the Rimrock Mall parking lot in Billings, MT. I went with the mini, which is still a large corn dog, but next time I'll go with the larger one. The breading was flavorful, with a hint of sweetness from the honey, and fried to a dark golden brown. The hot dog itself was excellent. I will say the service was great here as well. I went with the traditional Ketchup and Mustard, but apparently next time I've been told I need to try it with honey. Keep this cart in business and go get yourself a corndog! You'll be glad you did.

Full disclaimer: I don't like corndogs. Or rather, hot dogs. Cornbread? oh yeah! gimme gimme…read moregimme. With that, I don't know what possessed me to visit this food truck. Call it lucidity gone awry. The black and yellow markings -- like a bumble bee - caught me in that weak moment. We tried three items from Corndog's basic menu: The Mini, the small corndog, the deep fried cheese bomb, and the fried babybel cheese pop. Yep. That's right. Everything your doctor warns you against eating on a regular basis. The food came out quickly and in keeping with the bumble-bee theme, you can have honey drizzled on everything. No extra charge for it. With the first bite, I noticed two things: First, the taste of the cornbread coating. I cannot believe that a corndog has coating that good. Forget all that school lunch or frozen food aisle blecch. Second, the coating was nearly as thick as the hot dog. They don't skimp on that. The hot dog almost got lost in that coating. The ratio of cornbread to hotdog worked for me. The cheese bomb and babybel cheese pop were a mix. One was okay; and one so-so. Cheese and cornbread -- that's a combination I can fully support. I was looking forward to tasting it. The cheese bomb wasn't bad. It's a piece of cheese, like string cheese, available in pepperjack, cheddar or mozzarella, and then coated. We picked the cheddar, but in hindsight, the pepperjack might be the way to go for bringing in a pop of flavor. Overall, the bomb was okay, but didn't have the same wow factor as the corndog. Oh, and it was the same size as the mini corndog, so pay attention when they hand you the food or you'll end up with a big bite of surprise. The person I was sharing with thought I was crazy and that the bomb was the best thing ever. So, make of that what you will. The babybel cheese pop was the least successful for me. Again, I didn't think it had much flavor and the cheese on this one got lost in the batter. Kids would love it, I think, because it is kid-size. And -- kids. Overall, The Corndog is an interesting change of pace for food trucks in the area. This is their first location in Montana. It was probably a three-and-half star stop, but the corndog hangup is mine and I can't ding them for that. Besides, they were really, really, nice people.

Lil Red Wagon, I think I would chase you down for your steak nachos. That is, when I can find you. You don't seem to get out much, or at least not where I can get to you. Yes, I've tried other things on your short menu, and those, too, are good, but it will be those nachos for me. I don't know why. Among the other things I don't know: the connection between the name of the food truck and the food itself. It's all okay, though, because the name caught my attention enough to give their food a try, and if I hadn't done that, I would have missed out on those nachos.

With treats including gelato, in multiple flavors, and chocolates that are more like truffles but lightly infused with alcohol spirits, Le Macaron doesn't let you stop there without also partaking of the treat that is the namesake of this shop: the macaron The brightly colored cookies might be the first thing you notice (after the gelato) when you enter, just because of their bright colors. I was there later in the day, and there didn't seem to be an overwhelming number, but that actually made it easier to make a choice. There was still a nice variety. Generally, there are about 20 or so kinds, all made locally. There's not much to say about a macaron if you've ever had them, you already know what to expect: a small round cookie made of egg whites, and sandwiched between those slightly crisp- on-the-outside cookies, a soft filling. Because this is noted as a "French pastry" shop, they make these the French way with the egg whites first whipped and then the sugar folded in. Although I like macarons, they'll never be a must-have treat for me, but they are certainly something I'd bring for special occasions because I must be the only one in my circle of friends who is ambivalent about them. Those liquor-infused chocolates, though? Okay, maybe those. There is limited seating available inside (and coffee, too), although these treats are easy to grab and go. Le Macaron also offers other pastries. When in search of something sweet and cupcakes or ice cream aren't grabbing your attention, Le Macaron just might be a worthwhile alternative.
