Stopped in here the other day to research and review the options for a motorcycle trailer. TrailersPlus is located just off of U.S. 29 in New Baltimore, VA (between Gainesville and Warrenton, VA). The gentleman who runs the place was very helpful. He took me outside and showed me a range of models - complete with a rundown of the features of each, structural aspects, and price points. We reviewed entry level, mid-level, and top-of-the-line options on all of the trailers we looked at. He also answered all of my questions. I felt like I had a thorough understanding of what my options are for an enclosed motorcycle trailer when we were done. I will definitely keep TrailersPlus in mind when I finally get around to buying said trailer. read more

I called to ask a technical question about wiring lights on my trailer. I just needed to know why I was having a specific issue. I've been wiring stuff correctly for 20 years. But, had never experienced the issue I was having and couldn't figure out why it was happening. I called this place, explained my problems to the guy. He told me he knew how to fix it, but "couldn't tell me over the phone". He said bring it down and we will take a lookout at it. He told me they are in Warrenton, Va. well over an hour from me. I said "no, I'm not bringing it to you, I just need to know why it's happening." He repeated himself saying he couldn't tell me over the phone. I said "why not?" He didn't have an answer. He just didn't want to tell me because he wasn't getting my business. Thats pretty sketchy to me. Knowing he wasn't getting my business either way, there was no reason he couldn't have told me. If I could leave zero stars, I would!! This place is a joke!!!! Stay away at all costs!! I bought a dump trailer and after 5,000 miles 3 out 4 tires are bald. Im being told that the tires which were sold with the trailer are not meant for "high mileage". So 5,000 miles os now considered high mileage? What a joke! This company forces you to make decisions quickly because you are only given an hour of their time. They try to add things on to your trailer, tarp system, spare tire, battery charger, upgraded breakaway cable, while you are in their office trying to finalize paperwork. They had to literally remove things from the trailer because I told them I didn't want it. Then if you want to use their financing company, Sheffield Financial, well that decision takes longer than your allotted 1 hour time slot. So you are then forced to either walk or spend cash. In 22 years in the landscaping industry and numerous pieces of equipment finances through Sheffield, I know that is complete BS! Sheffield gives you, pretty much, instant approval. What about the construction of the trailer? The chain locking system for the rear gates busted off the first time I used them, under no load. The stake pockets were put into places that couldn't even be used. That cost me more money right off the bat. If you want to go through Trailers plus to buy a trailer, I would run away!!!! Update: after sourcing 4 new tires through a few places , I have learned that the tires which came with the trailer can't even handle the weight that the trailer can haul. I was in the market for 2 new trailers. I can tell you where I will not be buying from! read more

I made a terrible mistake purchasing a trailer from here less than a month ago. You have to make an appointment to see a trailer and they expect you to buy one if you make an appointment. Okay, no big deal. I needed one anyways. When I got there they already had the trailer ready to go with a full package including hitch, ball, spare tire, etc. A great feature except they never inquired as to what kind of vehicle I was driving. On a lifted Ram pickup they sold me a 2" drop (I need at least a 6" drop). When I brought this to their attention they brushed it off and said it was fine. I should have not been such a pushover. Paint was also missing and they fixed it by just spray painting the trailer right there. When I got home I noticed that the wiring was damaged and almost cut all the way through. I contacted the dealership and corporate and they stated I must have done this and they will only issue a $20 refund for selling me an incorrect hitch for $35.... Ummm excuse me? I damaged it on my way home?? Wow. How is that even possible? Terrible customer service. Would not recommend anyone else going through this experience. read more

I bought there interstate enclosed model. My main issue is after the first rain (about 24 hours after purchase) there was rust stains at the bottom of all the door jambs where water leaks inside the tube and drains down which is a rust and rot magnet. Chances are this was not the first time this happened they just washed it when it got to there lot. Also the paint will come off it rub your nail on it, the two tubes that make up the tongue are not welded in the same plane, liner on the bottom has missing spots. 48 hours later this will not return it only file a warranty claim the water issue is a design flaw and I doubt there would be any long term warranty fix considering the tubes are now rusting from the inside out. I set an appointment with Jennifer and confirmed the appointment. Then next was told the appointment was no longer available as it assigned already to someone else. Mind you that was the following day after she confirmed with me in the morning. Called 4 times was hung up on 3 of the 4 until a sales rep answered and tried to help but couldn't give me any answer why my appointment was suddenly not happening. Offered me an appointment that was in less then a half an hr. Running my own business when I set appointments I keep them. People are all busy right now with Covid affecting them in different ways. Lost my business for being unprofessional. If this is how they handle me know what's to come if I did buy a trailer? Clearly a sign to avoid. read more

They look nice and are good trailers but they don't stand behind there product. Next time I get a trailer it won't be here. I have the weld on the trailer ramp door break. The bottom is rusting due to a bad Manufacturing. But when I talked to them they never documented anything. And they did not stand on there word. So many trailer problems and they don't care. Bought a 18 foot equipment trailer here in December. Staff was very helpful and help me decide on what model was best for my needs. Pricing was great, was in and out pretty fast with a thorough briefing on the unit, it's warranty coverage etc. They did a thorough pre delivery of it ( I doulble checked everything because of other equipment I bought that wasn't) and everything was good! Poor warranty backing. Purchased a trailer less than 1 year ago. The so called "service manager" at the time installed the ladder racks improperly. My trailer was in a dangerous situation because the racks came loose. Spoke with someone at carry on and the offered to refund the ladder racks because of the inept workmanship. Took pictures and sent via email. Fast forward..still under a year since purchase and ladder racks have not been refunded. The employee turnover at trailers plus is an excuse that the manager uses as a reason not to refund. They will tell you every conversation is recorded but they can't find the conversations when you tell them. They do, however, have phone calls that clearly never happened. The district manager is supposed to call, yet, that never happens either. Do yourself a favor and buy a trailer that's backed by a legitimate warranty somewhere else. Great selection on hand and Dave was very knowledgeable - he helped me get the right trailer and the options that would be helpful for my immediate use and future needs. They gave me a good price and installed everything the same day. Everyone was friendly and polite. I was very happy and picked up the trailer later the same day. They did a great PDI and walked me through all of the details and features. You'd be surprised at how much you need to learn about owning and operating a trailer - that said, the drive home was easy and it pulls very nicely - get the stab jacks and E-track options - they are great! With 3 kids in college and frequent trips to mountains and beaches, needed a small trailer to hall luggage, coolers, lawn chairs, food, blankets, etc, etc, etc . . . surprised to find TrailersPlus on the outskirts of my own town. So -- very convenient. Salesman (John) very helpful and knowledgeable. Offered discount for paying cash or a certified check. Had trailer ready and waiting for me the next day when I came with the check. 30 day temp tag, a spare tire, and a useful lesson on immediate operation and care all done diligently, altho not a 5" process -- more like an hour. Overall, trailer appears to be well-built and sturdy, used it alread to WV and did fine on the interstate at high speeds, smooth operation, very satisfied. Price seemed slightly high, but you get what you pay for in this case. Went into 3 other places and found poor service, inferiorly built trailers, and poor selection. Highly recommend TrailersPlus Warrenton. Would be 5 Star if the price was a bargain . . . it was fair, but not a bargain, I believe.
