I opted for the fried walleyed with the german potato salad. My better half was in a pizza mood. We started off cheese filled breadsticks aka Stony Sticks-they were solid. The pizza probably suffered from almost too much cheese but did the trick. The stand out being the walleye. It was extremely tasty. Perfectly fried with a light breading, it was heavenly. The german potato salad was a step away from my grandmother's and thats saying alot. At $18, it was a great value. It's a 25 min drive away and well worth it. We will be back.

Unlike so many other restaurants that serve crappy cornmeal breaded cheese curds that don't get crunchy and retain too much grease, the cheese curds at Nuckleheadz are true breaded cheese curds that get perfectly crunchy. I wish every every restaurant would serve the right kind like Nuckleheadz does, but I guess that's one of the things that makes Nuckleheadz special. Speaking of special, I LOVE it when the breading on fish has herbs and/or spices mixed in. It just gives the fish a little something extra. The herbs that Nuckleheadz puts in the batter they use on their cod (maybe their other fish too, I'm not sure) are phenomenal. I'm not usually big on cod, but I'm big on their cod because of it.
