I've never lost a pawn and take pride with my 100%. Like any other business the more trust you build the more they will help you. I've pawned things and came back with the same thing and ask hey can I get alittle more then last time. She asked me if I wanted to be shot because it's a gun store. First of all it's not a gun store it's a pawn shop where people sell or pawn their guns. I wear a mask because my healthy mother died of covid and this woman laughed and claimed MY MOTHER didn't die of covid. Apparently she is radical and needs mental help. She laughed and laughed as if there was something wrong with her. It was very strange and made me very uncomfortable. So I walked out of her pawn shop instead of giving her my business. I highly suggest she seek professional mental help. She had no empathy or compassion. Again, she was very unprofessional.

Instead of addressing the issue professionally, the owner stated they would no longer do business with me, despite the fact that I have an active pawned item and have previously been allowed to make late payments without any issue. Their sudden decision to refuse a standard payment immediately after my review comes across as retaliatory and inconsistent with how they have treated me in the past. In addition, I noticed an unusual pattern: within hours of my posting a negative review, several new 5-star reviews appeared, all praising the same employee mentioned in my experience. This timing raises concerns about the authenticity of these reviews, especially since this business rarely receives multiple reviews in a single day. I am not accusing anyone of wrongdoing, but the pattern is unusual enough that I believe Google should be aware of it. Their public reply also included inappropriate personal remarks about my wife, which is unprofessional and completely unnecessary. Taken together -- retaliation, inconsistent policy enforcement, and concerning public responses -- I have documented everything and submitted formal complaints to the Maryland Commissioner of Financial Regulation, the Maryland Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division, and the City of Hagerstown for review. My main issue is the racism and discrimination in this store. I am a white woman that is currently 5 months pregnant and struggling financially since I just currently got out of being homeless with my fiancé that is black/latino, note that my roommate is also black.... I sent my fiancé and roommate 4 days in a row to sell items of valuable worth and he has not only denied buying the items but has also refused to allow them both in the store with no reason to why. Today I was completely appalled to hear today that they both returned back to our apartment to tell me he refused to take a bike I paid $400 for about 2 years ago. (26" Woman's Huffy Trail Runner 18 gear speedshifting with XDS Dual Suspension Technology.) when we were only asking for $100 in return to sell it to his shop. Hearing this made me confused and angry so I walked to the store myself to ask why my bike was not bought, as I said I paid $400 and have screenshots to prove that it's the correct price. (He refuses to look at my screenshots as well as he does not look the bike up himself) yet he refuses to buy it once again telling me "it's not a $400 bike, and giving us $100 was too much for it." The worker was a white man.
