He showed us how neat the steel looks as it ages, helped the Husband pick out what metal he wanted on his skin and was great to work with. Everything in that shop is amazing. He doesn't make the Damascus steel himself, a friend does(I think it's the only thing he doesn't make in his shop), but he's extremely knowledgable about it and owns some great pieces of his own. We're so happy with how my husband's ring turned out! We'll be going back to Zaruba when looking for awesome pieces of jewelry in the future.

I think the value was ~ $2,200, so about 40 cents a day for this treasure! I've also purchased his gold and diamond plumbob earings, and made gifts of his pure silver heart on a gold chain. I also had a custom ring designed at his former gallery in 22k granulated gold with diamonds and garnets that I provided. Wish I still lived in Maryland so I could visit his new shop!

Value Dec 2022 we…read morewas celebrating our upcoming 35 wedding anniversary. And plus it was Christmas. I told my wife she could spend $10-15k on a new diamond ring. May not seem lot to some but this was a ton for us. Wife was super excited. We went to sales in Hagerstown mall Maryland. After hours of conversations on a real diamond or new lab grown. The lady was so pushy for lab grown told us it's a $15 k ring on sale for $8k. And we should jump on it due to these rings are/will take off and this 3 carats of a ring won't be this affordable ever again. We got hooked lined and sunk! We bought it and a wedding band $10k We felt very happy and felt then was given great direction. Now few years later. Wife like to change style maybe same size but the band and ring is too much ring in size so hopes to combine into one ring. We went in today To find we were going to get very disappointed and pissed off We looked at new lab growns to learn One's similar to ours 3-3.5 carats was only $4-5k not on sale so much cheaper And was told we could trade ours in but it had to double what we paid. Really $16k for a $4 k ring today / they didn't even have a $16k lab grown. It would be 6-8 carats lady said.toooo big!!! Plus said had to send our ring to be appraised before any deals on a trade could happen that takes 2-3 months. WHAT!!!! Really !!!!! Zales your a rip off!! I will never buy crap from you ever again. I bought a 1500 bulova watch there. Several other rings and jewelry. Ear rings Thousands of dollars to I now question for last 10years was I ripped off. NO-MORE!! Really can't trade a ring we purchased from you for a dece trade offer really have to spend 16 k on something worth 4k You can take that lab grown an spoke it with the home grown you doin yo talk that crap!!! Young lady was nice except her manager who had horrible attitude at us soon as we walked in. Sign Done with Zales!! Th Stay away from here they are rip off artists. Liars and sell fake crap not worth anything Go to reeds around corner or Kay's.
