During the appointment, the person fitting my glasses made inaccurate assumptions about my vision history, dismissed my input, and even physically hurt me during the fitting--with zero apology. When I politely corrected him, he brushed it off entirely. What makes it worse? I sent a kind, detailed follow-up email asking about important next steps in my eye care--lenses, drops, treatments--and nearly two weeks later, I've received no response. For a place that had no problem taking over $600 for glasses, the lack of communication and accountability is unacceptable. I don't recommend this clinic if you expect to be treated with basic respect or to receive professional follow-through on your care.

I was attempting to get my insurance information to Samuel, the guy who was helping me, but as I was on the phone with the insurance company, he said that they would have to have the med card emailed to me, which can take up to 3 business days. He then said I need to be set up with a pair of glasses. I asked how much would it be, and he said it would vary, but I would pay the same with my insurance as I would with the in-store discounts. I proceeded to go through the process and Samuel said I was getting the "BOGO deal", and the eye exam would be free with a purchase. He then rung me up for $750 for two pairs of eye glasses. I thought this was normal and paid, but then I called my insurance company. My rep said I was 100% covered for the eye exam and eye glasses or contacts. She also stated that they in fact DO NOT need the physical insurance card and that they just need the policy number, which she gave to them on the spot. My insurance rep said that they are supposed to be helping you are not supposed to tell you false information and that they will be removing Stanton Optical from there network. As soon as I got off the phone with them, Samuel immediately turned around and clocked out, went home while I was trying to get my money refunded!! The other rep had to take over and told me I would have to come back, because the woman who did refunds was not there. I said absolutely not I am going to wait here until you process the refund. I was able to get my eye exam covered, refunded my money, and told them I would take my business elsewhere. I found the information Stanton Optical and Samuel to be very misleading. Watch out for scams and always have your insurance ready to go. They will NOT help you save, only attempt to fork money out of you. Going to Walmart instead.

Basically, there vender/lab didn't do what was ordered, so I have to eat a $225.00 pair of glasses that aren't clear. I told Shelly, my wife and I will not be back and will find another eye doctor. The office is the one that controls which lab/vender they use not me. I don't do business with businesses that won't go to bat for its customers. It's my fault I bought them last year and trying to get them correct and waiting for a call back. Total time wasted was 8 weeks. Be careful before spend money they will not get a refund if not satisfied.
