This review is long overdue. I have been coming here for years and it is truly my go-to supermarket. People are extremely nice and personable. One particular instance stands out as the most memorable and a reason why I probably won't switch allegiance. A couple of months ago I went in to TJ's to buy carnations for a lovely woman that I visited regularly as a hospice volunteer. I had found out that she loved carnations and she was turning 102 that day. Being "floral illiterate", I asked a crew member named Jodi to help me pick out the flowers and told them who it was for. She proceeded to tell me that the flowers were on them - free, as in I didn't have to pay for it! I know carnations aren't that expensive, but that's not the point. No matter what, kindness always wins. Continue to employ exceptional people and empower them to act with both mind and heart, and you will have me and the people I touch as lifelong customers. Smaller Joes but has all the staples. Plus bananas are ridiculously priced low. Great place to keep on a healthy diet - just avoid the Ritter's chocolate and cookies above the frozen food. Eyes down - keep walking. read more

I am a fan! It is local , fresh and reasonably priced! My kids like too. Also something interesting to try with every trip.

Love Trader Joes! I used to drive up from lodi 14+ years ago. Been here 10 years, and it's one of my favorites. Reasonable prices, great variety, and the NICEST staff! Never a hassle, and they will always check stock for you. I only wish that they wouldn't discontinue some of the items. My favorites, Cranberry Breakfast Bars, Natural Peanut Butter, Carmalized Onion Pizza Flats, flax tortilla chips, and their parmesan/chedder cheese. This used to be my favorite store to shop in. I would drive out of my way to go there but lately I've been very disappointed with the quality. I bought milk with a good date and when I opened it at home it was rotten. I bought roses that died the next day and recently bought the organic chocolate syrup and it had hard pieces floating inside. I've stopped going as much as I used to because I can't afford to throw out anymore food. I hope the quality gets better in the future. read more

Have become very disenchanted with store. They continue to discontinue items that I have been purchasing for years. I am a pescatarian and found many items here. Started with frozen edamame, eggplant Parmesan, chili rellanos, polenta and now their small garlic loaves of bread. Every time I go to shop something else is discontinued. Very disappointed. read more

I am a huge fan of Trader Joe's. The quality of the products is always excellent and the selection is great. I usually find myself here once a week, but do find myself visiting other grocery stores because my daughter likes certain brands that Trader Joe's just doesn't carry. Took me a little while to learn the store at first and figure out where everything is because of the lack of non-Trader Joe's brands, but now this is my primary food shop spot. Close to home, easy parking, good food. Would have gave five stars, but the lack of big name brands and the crowdedness sometimes is somewhat of a drawback. read more

Been shopping at Trader Joe's in Wayne for years. Location on Hamburg Turnpike is convenient. The store is a little bit on the small side, but still carries all of the Fearless inventory. I would give this location the 5th star if the aisles were a little bit bigger. Crowded shopping and long lines at the check out on weekend afternoons, so plan your trip accordingly. However, the store is less busy than other local Trader Joe's. The staff is friendly, pleasant and welcoming. read more

Awesome store, every employee is helpful and seems to like their job. The store is always very well stocked, everything is always fresh and its very clean. I am thankful to have a trader joes close to me, I live a mile away. Its clean and wonderful, we all know by now trader joes is great from the price to the product. It gets 4 stars bc its so so very small. Why? Why do we get the smallest trader joes ever? Please people, spend your money there, they have ingredients in food for a fair price..kind of. if you are serious about going organic, or even just eating healthy, this store is NOT for you. i don't fault it for having limited square footage, but it also has a limited, commerciallish selection of semi-natural foods, and some glaring omissions of the basic staples of organica. there is no totally organic, unheated honey, for one, which speaks volumes about the overall selection of everything else. i don't even recall seeing agave syrup there -- even stop & shop has that. they seem to be trying on the bread front, without success i'm sorry to say. most of the things under the "trader joe" brand are not organic. trader joe's is really just the quick-check version of whole foods -- very little selection and mostly long-shelf-life stuff; organic things rot quickly, so i think they are going for profit over authenticity. props though for the vast selection of organic dark chocolate bars found up at the check outs. read more
