Its an experience. I don't go there all the time but I'm glad I did. When I want to add a little something to gifts or gift bags or I want something from a health food store without going to wholefoods i go there. It makes you feel like your walking in a food botique. I love Trader Joe's. Unfortunately, I've never had the pleasure to visit the bigger version in Paramus but I'm happy just to have one nearby. Yes, it is very small but that can be a good thing. I guess you could say that this is a smaller & cheaper version of Whole Foods (kind of). There's free coffee for you while you shop & usually free samples of some kind of food. And if you're wondering, yes you can go up for more. The only negative is sometimes you have to wait for them to re-stock certain items. Like the tabbouleh that I love so much. They only get a small quantity in & it goes fast so you have to wait a few days till they get more. read more

I love Trader Joe's! It's such a great store with lots of healthy options. I only wish we had a bigger store nearby. Try the frozen Indian samosas and the Joe Joe cookies! Yummy!!! Positives: its in a great central location and this area definitely was in need of a store like Trader Joes, so good job for putting it here. The store is very organized and clean, its easy to navigate through. The staff is also friendly and accommodating. That's about it though. Why I'm not a huge fan: It is SO small. This is the smallest Trader Joes I have ever been to. Therefore, their selection is extremely limited...and when I say extremely, I mean it. The Trader Joes on Rt. 17 and Rt. 3 crap on this place. Also, parking is kind of tough. I wonder how many people get in accidents in that parking lot, if I had to guess, I'd say a lot. If you are used to coming here and do not venture to other Trader Joes, I can see why you'd give this place 4 or 5 stars. You don't miss what you don't know I guess. But seriously, check out Trader Joes on Rt. 17 North in Paramus or on Rt. 3 West in Clifton....way bigger and the selection is much more impressing, you wont be disappointed. read more

Compared to the Trader Joe's near my old apartment in MA, this is a smaller store. Nevertheless, the pleasant demeanor of the staff and the great prices are reasons to come back. I came in on a Sunday with my mom to pick up Israeli couscous, sliced almonds, and a bag of raisins for less than $7! Watermelon was on sale for $3.99 each! read more

Great store for your organic needs. Have great salads and pre packaged foods. Love their egg white and chives salad and spinach dip. Have great frozen foods and dried fruits too. Not a place where you can do a full shopping but definitely a great store to purchase specialty organic ethnic food items. Staff is always friendly. read more

I am still in love with Trader Joe's and it's welcoming staff! Yesterday was my first visit to the new Wayne location. I love the wide aisles and larger selection. Each time I stopped an associate to ask help in finding an item, they walked me to the exact spot. There is a large staff available to help on the sales floor and lots of space at the registers to socially space securely. I am a senior citizen and avoid going to most stores; however, I feel very comfortable here. I'm going back today. I hope you try it soon. read more

Best supermarket ever with the best customer service! You don't expect those little annoying cashiers at other grocery stores not even saying anything, but at trader joes they are literally the nicest people there! Best food organics and non gmo. Here is a story you can reflect on: It was raining so hard that it was practically flooded outside and Noone knew it was coming. Tens of people were inside the store waiting for the rain to stop. Then, yes this is true, the MANAGER of the store put on a light coat, took out a large umbrella and escorted all the customers waiting to go to their cars one by one with her umbrella. After some time, she was soaking wet and I expected her to be cranky when it was our turn. She was in the best mood and so nice! "Ha it sure is raining hard out there! This umbrella might not help much with all the wind though sorry! Let's go, where's your car?" And she was so nice. The manager! Couldn't believe it. Here is another story: Once when I went there and was in a crummy mood I went to the checkout where the cashier was. She greeted me happily and I gave a nice smile. She then, after she bagged the groceries took a flower bouquet and put it in there for free! "You have good day" and that did make my day! You see this place truly is wonderful and should be an example for others stores. But what I can assure you is that this isn't another grocery store or shop rite, it's something nice! read more

I don't go here often, but I certainly like it. Offers a variety of health foods at the least. If that doesn't interest you, hey, the packaging is different and its fun to shop there. Trader Joe's is a unique store, and the Wayne location is great. The staff are friendly and accomodating, and they usually have free coffee and snacks, plus clean bathrooms. The only problem is it's a small store, and can get very crowded. Parking during peak times can be rough too. They have alot of excellent, unique frozen prepared food and desserts, priced reasonably. Most of their frozen entrees are much better than what you'd find in your average supermarket. The staff really is excellent and they accept returns without a hassle. When they're crowded, they make every effort to open additional check out lines, and when they open a new checkout lane, they always take the very next customer in line (from another line). Very smart, I just wish more stores would do that. I am always impressed at how helpful and pleasant all the staff members are! read more

Above and beyond. I rushed out to Trader Joe's in Wayne close to 8:30pm on 8/14/20, knowing that they closed at 9:00pm. I was feeling down about the COVID after losing my mom to COVID complications and was a little distracted and feeling overwhelmed. Well, the young man at the register changed that! B, James (hoping my receipt reflects the right person) instantly cheered me up and in talking about how crazy life is right now, I mentioned to him that my mom passed away. What a compassionate young man! As I left the store, he had his co-worker hand deliver to me the most beautiful bouquet of flowers. I was speechless standing there in the parking lot. Thanking her with tears in my eyes and asking her to thank James as well. I got in my car and drove away feeling hopeful, like everything was going to be ok. Trader Joe's you have quite a special young man working for you. James, thank you for your kindness and making a difference. I will never forget it. read more

This is a fabulous store! The customer service is always top notch; everyone is so friendly!! They have so many things that I can't get anywhere else. I get low-fat cheeses that aren't full of artificial anything and that taste great! They also have the best goat cheese. I always come here for produce. Everything is always high-quality and the prices are consistent. They also have the best cliantro-lime chicken mini wontons that are low in calories and fat, delicious, and I can't find them anywhere else. Love love love this place! Hello. I would like to acknowledge Trader Joe's in Wayne N.J. This past Saturday, June 15, 2019 I visited the store in Wayne. I was (sadly) returning canned dog food as our beloved Daisy had recently passed away unexpectedly. I was at the register with "Pat", who extended her sincere condolences and was very kind in honoring my return with no receipt. Suddenly, an employee, Mike, approached with a bouquet of flowers. I was taken aback when he said they were for me and he was sorry for my loss. I cannot express how touched I was by this gesture! I proceeded to do my shopping and at the checkout counter I was approached by a young sales girl who also presented me with a bouquet of flowers and expressed her sadness for our loss. I do not know how she knew but I was completely overwhelmed by the sincerity and thoughtfulness of Trader Joe's! I have been telling friends as far away as Florida how a truly sad loss was made a little easy to bear through the kindness of strangers at such a wonderful store !! I promise Trader Joe's I will be a customer for life! This is the most unique store, with reasonable prices, cool seasonal selections, and attentive staff. Some of my favorite items are: flowers, holiday plant decor, flat bread pizza for $4.99 in bakery section, hummus, coffee, snacks, sunscreen spray was rated #1.....to name a few. The staff is very helpful and have a positive, upbeat attitude. Wonderful if you have a return, you don't have to go to a separate line....just take care of it while you are checking out. Would vote for a bigger store (with liquor) with a better parking lot in Wayne in the future. Hopefully one of the TJ's Executives will see this! read more

I love trader joes ! The store is always so neat and staff are amazing ! I love the little things like how they pull your cart in front of their register and load your bags ! I always bag my own stuff and always get a thank you in return ! I don't mind cause I know where it all is when u get home ! My daughter loves the whoppie pies ! The produce is always fresh and I only buy my meat here ! Also try the Dunker cookies wow !!! The parking lot as stated from other yelpers is small but hey ... Least what your getting is wayyyy worth it ! I've never been to the other locations but I don't mind the selection here . I always find what I need .. I love this place! I go here regularly and the prices can not be beat. I use a lot of beauty products from here and they are very cheap in price. I am a big fan of the lavender scrub and coconut body butter. The staff is very friendly and always willing to help. They always have exotic items on their shelves. I love trying new things and this store is a Wonderland of new tasting experiences. I recommend their mango mochi. They have produce at great prices and have both organic and conventionally grown. If you are not an adventurous foodie then you will be happy to know that they have a lot of food items that are found in normal supermarkets but at much better prices. Give this Trader Joes a shot, I don't think you will be disappointed. read more

This is one of the smaller Trader Joe's w/o beer and/or wine. It also has less items I think than other locations such as Clifton and Paramus. Regardless, this is still a good place to pick up more healthier food items and at decent prices. Its like a Walmart for actually good quality things. For a while they didnt have coffee samples here. One winter I called them out on this asking that if there is snow outside and its cold as death, why couldnt they try to push warm coffee samples. Suppose they took my advise and business picked up, lol. They still have coffee samples a year later! read more

I definitely like the Trader Joes in Westfield better. I feel like the staff is more welcoming and friendly than this location. Both are in a predominately white neighborhood so not sure if one is more welcoming due to that reason. This location is smaller, i only stopped in b/c I had a three our break in between classes and ended up in this area. Anyway, nothing really intrigued me to buy anything.
