Staff members at this location are consistently welcoming and pleasant. While the store itself is reasonably spacious, the parking area tends to be tight and challenging to maneuver through--we typically opt to park along the side or toward the back near the apartment buildings. The store offers an impressive variety of fresh fruits and vegetables in addition to their standard selection of frozen items.

So packed and always super busy but definitely have everything in stock. Never disappoints when you need to get all your groceries quickly. This place is like LA traffic - crowded but moves super fast.

Really friendly and helpful staff!! Hard working folks! All check out lanes were open and moving quickly, and I also saw staff members all over the store restocking the shelves. A jolly shop, for sure! Prices were very reasonable, too! The fresh fruit was my favorite part- fresh cherries, strawberries, berries, peaches, oranges! I got some of each of them. Very clean and well stocked store.

The only Trader Joe's in the area. The only downside is the parking lot is cramped and tough to find parking.

Mega is clearly far and away the best Asian market in the Bay area... having said that, I do have…read moresome complaints but will give it the 5 stars it deserves. Let's start with the good, or I should say best. The sashimi here is the best of any Asian market bar none. You could even say better than some Sushi restaurants (I won't name them). Even some of the newer Asian markets like T&T have disgusting sashimi... to the point you can taste the ice bc they hadn't fully defrosted it. The only nit I have is bruh... stop putting the frickin plastic sauce packets right on top of the fish. Why? Why would you do that? Stop it. Come on. Why in the actual F would you do that? Ok, I know this sounds more like complaints but I do really like Mega Mart to be clear. 2 other issues: #1. Dude... what're you guys doing with the panchan? When did you start adding so much sugar and sugaring the F out of the panchan. This is not how it should be. Old Korean grandmas are literally turning in their graves with this sacrilege. Maybe panchan sales are falling, but you can be damn sure I will never buy this again with the amount of sugar you guys add. Like why? Why 50% sugar... seriously, this panchan candy bar nonsense makes no sense! #2. What happened to organic natto? Like bruh. You only had 1 brand left that was organic. Sure I could go to Nijiya and have a choice of 2, but I'm disappointed you guys stopped carrying the only organic natto you had.

I dropped by for my usual mushroom run and decided to peruse the aisles. I was excited to see that they now have a "Vegan Vegetable Mandu" offering in the hot food section. I had to grab both options to test them out : Unlimeat Kimchi Mandoo and Unlimeat Vegetable Mandoo. Each package has 8 pieces and a packet of shoyu. After trying both, the kimchi version won me over a bit more. The other option is lighter in flavor, and I'm a fan of bold and spicy food. Adding the shoyu helps, but I could easily eat all the kimchi ones alone. I'm not sure I'd get them often, but I like having an option in the grab and go section for when I'm short on time and hungry. They also added some Pulmone vegan-friendly microwave dumplings to the frozen section, so I got those too. I noticed some plant-based bulgogi kimbap in the frozen section, but I decided to skip them because I'm iffy about the textures of frozen kimbap. I love when grocery stores have vegan-friendly options! I hope this means they'll start adding more vegan-friendly options in the grab and go hot food section. A tofu and veggie rice bowl would be nice!

My cat is a picky eater, so I'd rather have a few cans than a full case. Sadly, they only carry the dog version. In fact, the cat section is minuscule. It's literally one tiny section on the shelf, while the dog section gets a full display. I wasn't really a fan of that, but maybe cat stuff doesn't sell well here. They have a lot of vegan options here, which I appreciate. I ended up buying Jack & Annie's Fish Fillets and Chicken Strips, since they were on sale. I've also been wanting to try the Back to Nature White Chedda Cheezy crackers, so I got those too. I really like the crackers; before becoming vegan, white cheddar cheez-its were my go-to guilty pleasure, so it's nice to have a vegan alternative. The bakery also has the delicious fresh-baked vegan oatmeal raisin cookies, and today I noticed some fresh-baked muffins (chocolate and blueberry) along with the usual big brands like Abe's. I appreciate how they clearly mark and separate the organic and non-organic produce. I picked up some organic ketit mangos to try (they were on sale for buy one, get one 50% off). The staff is really friendly and helpful. I was searching for dolmas one time and they went above and beyond to help me find them. We checked every shelf, but they were actually in the deli section, tucked away on a wire rack at the bottom.

They had the usual array of nonstick pots, which don't work very well for me. They had a small but useful section for clay pots. I thought Amazon and AliExpress had overpriced clay pots, but I was wrong. These prices were significantly higher. I can only hope these are the best of the best. Checking up on 99 Ranch, I couldn't even find clay pots in there more limited kitchen utensil section. I ran across one item where knockoffs are ubiquitous. They've completely flooded AliExpress and you have to watch it with Amazon. Hankook had the authentic item and at significantly lower price than both Amazon and Aldi express. I found a tea section to be well stocked. I also recognize some of the tea brands. 99 Ranch has gone with lower cost options, but if you buy 6 ounces of tea, are you gonna be stuck with an enormous supply. Better to go with reliable brands that I have enjoyed in the past. I loved the produce section. It was nice and fresh. It also had wider selection of produce than other supermarkets. The store itself is stunning. The the aisles are spacious. The store is meticulously clean. The shelves are fully stocked. There were only about two items which were shopped out. The snack area and the frozen foods were even more interesting. It's obvious in those two sections that there were many more Korean brands. I should've tried some, but it's hard for me to resist snacks and there was a good chance that would finish the entire bag in one go. Better to skip it entirely. The parking lot for the supermarket is spacious. I had no trouble finding a spot even though I arrived in the late afternoon when everybody has gotten off work. I live about two hours away. And I am very jealous because there is no Hankook near me.

We have purchased a wok from here, twice, and they were reasonably priced (around $35 if I recall), and we got a spare lid for a reasonable price as well.
