150 E El Camino Real Sunnyvale, CA 94087 Clean, modern, and well-stocked Safeway in Sunnyvale, CA. Lots of variety of foods and goods. You have to do some walking to find stuff. Staff are helpful. I was there on a Saturday afternoon, and there was still a fair supply of 18-pks of eggs. Restrooms are clean. Code required for entry. Big shared parking lot.

Nice big Safeway.Store looks clean and the shelves are all nicely stocked. The deli had a lot of yummy food in it.Employees are all helpful Lots of parking as it's in a big shopping center

Again closed before 1 AM and they are supposed to be 24 hours! Wow, someone's got computer skills! You know before they just scribbled a note and it made it seem like they weren't in the habit of closing the store "early" now that they have a legit note. It's clear that this has become a habit. They have the music blasting... Looks like some good fun in there! An employee just spent the last five minutes wrapping on the glass. Let me in let me in. I guess it's time for them to do whatever magic they do inside the closed store who often uses the excuse, they close the store because they don't have enough employees! As I sit here writing this review in the parking lot, I have seen eight customers come and go !

Perfectly good standard Safeway supermarket with everything you would expect plus some extras. Open 24 hours although the Starbucks and pharmacy aren't. Starbucks opens early enough though.

I love this Safeway location because parking is plentiful and the parking lot aisles are wide. It's definitely easier to get around the parking lot here than at the other Safeway located down the street by Maria Lane. This store is huge and spacious inside. The store has always been clean whenever I visit. I also stop by this pharmacy, which is located along the back wall ; everyone in this dept is pleasant and always helpful. Do be aware that the pharmacy closes for lunch and to plan your visit around this. There is a Quest Diagnostics located next to the pharmacy. Starbucks is located at the front left side of the store, and you'll find restrooms directly behind the Starbucks. I don't use the restrooms, so can't comment on them. I only notice that there is a sign for restrooms near the front left side of the store. The only downside is the quirk that the self checkout registers have of not showing you the total discounts before you hit the pay button. I usually like to make sure that all my discounts are applied before hitting the pay button. I used to flag down staff to say, "hey, I didn't get the discounted price on this item." Now I've gotten used to the quirk and just wait until after hitting the pay button to review the final total. It's just one of those little things that bug me.

Met with a friend in Sunnyvale and needed a visit to a market and found this place near El Camino real, the people here are really friendly and overall, not all rushy and pushy to end a transaction! hahaha. Selection of cold beverage is limited, but that depends on the eye of a person, no worries to each their own. The market is pretty chill I lived in Sunnyvale and that/s the overall experience I get at the markets here. Got a El Colombe latte and a Lara cashew bar for a mini lunch for a midday boost, I needed to pick out a snack before I met with a person. El Colombe was smooth and not tight or biting like some canned coffee or that flat taste like the coffee has been shaken during the logistics process. Or sitting on the self-way past it's time before expiration. We need a Columbe cafe out here in Northern California to compete with the overrated Blue Bottle Co, not a brand I particularly like myself. Again, to each their own and don't hate on people for having a difference in opinion! Enso forever. Friendly check out. Ample parking. Don't start a civil war over it or bring pitchforks and petitions to the scene. "Art is the only serious thing in the world. And the artist is the only person who is never serious." ― Oscar Wilde

Officially posted business hours is 24 hours, but it's not true. I came 10/25 at 540am, still closed and not open. But you can see lots workers at inside store.

Not sure why the negative reviews. I could easily get what I was after and the person working self checkout was very friendly.

Ask the Community - Safeway

How good is the deli fried chicken here?

Just tried the safeway fried chicken, might have been good , but wasn't done! I do not like to see blood near the bone! Should have been cooked longer!

They had the usual array of nonstick pots, which don't work very well for me. They had a small but useful section for clay pots. I thought Amazon and AliExpress had overpriced clay pots, but I was wrong. These prices were significantly higher. I can only hope these are the best of the best. Checking up on 99 Ranch, I couldn't even find clay pots in there more limited kitchen utensil section. I ran across one item where knockoffs are ubiquitous. They've completely flooded AliExpress and you have to watch it with Amazon. Hankook had the authentic item and at significantly lower price than both Amazon and Aldi express. I found a tea section to be well stocked. I also recognize some of the tea brands. 99 Ranch has gone with lower cost options, but if you buy 6 ounces of tea, are you gonna be stuck with an enormous supply. Better to go with reliable brands that I have enjoyed in the past. I loved the produce section. It was nice and fresh. It also had wider selection of produce than other supermarkets. The store itself is stunning. The the aisles are spacious. The store is meticulously clean. The shelves are fully stocked. There were only about two items which were shopped out. The snack area and the frozen foods were even more interesting. It's obvious in those two sections that there were many more Korean brands. I should've tried some, but it's hard for me to resist snacks and there was a good chance that would finish the entire bag in one go. Better to skip it entirely. The parking lot for the supermarket is spacious. I had no trouble finding a spot even though I arrived in the late afternoon when everybody has gotten off work. I live about two hours away. And I am very jealous because there is no Hankook near me.

We have purchased a wok from here, twice, and they were reasonably priced (around $35 if I recall), and we got a spare lid for a reasonable price as well. They always have inexpensive produce, lots of fresh stuff. I got a bag of bok choy for $2. I think if you are looking for Asian produce, a great place to shop. They also have a lot of prepared foods, snack foods, etc. Everything is reasonably priced. They do have a large enough parking lot, and usually we park on the side to avoid the chaos.

This was my first time visiting a Walmart Neighborhood Market, and I enjoyed the experience…read more It was much smaller than a traditional Walmart Supercenter, but I was able to find and buy a few items I needed during our vacation away from home. The store was clean, fully stocked, and the employees were friendly and helpful. Prices matched those at other Walmart locations. Parking was easy to find in the spacious, private parking lot, and the store is conveniently located just off the US 101 freeway.

Sometimes the things in life that you travel far & wide to find is merely next to you. I swear,…read moreit's been years since I drive to a Walmart store to buy something, the full Walmart store is about 8-10 miles drive away, so it's never the first option I'd opt for when shopping. It was on a recent accidental trip that I found myself at this Santa Clara Walmart Neighborhood Market. It essentially is a larger size version of your typical supermarkets like Safeway or Lucky, except it's a lot more spacious & carry more grocery options. Due to its warehouse-like operation, the prices are slightly more affordable in general than those aforementioned stores; especially when things go on sales. For example, I scored a dozen maple glazed donuts for $4.69 (normally, $6.99, Dunkin or Krispy would have been more than $15. And if you take the time to look through each aisle, you may notice that they have some red stickers with significant markdowns, for example, a 10oz brown gravy mix normally $0.99-$1.39 elsewhere, it was $0.32, I got a whole bunch, it's perfect for my Canadian soul food - le Poutine, it works really well! And yes, the staff can be a hit or miss, depending on who you ask, but in general, they are pretty helpful, I never had problems. If there's a minor complaint, it's that you need the physical credit card to self-checkout, no GooglePay or Apple pay, etc, that's kind of pain in the you-know-where, but when I get my groceries with low prices, I'm really OK! In summary, it's been such a long time, I completely forgot that there's this Walmart Neighborhood Market within 2 miles of where I live. With dollar stores no longer offer DOLLAR items, some raised to $1.25, $3 - $5 in certain freezer items. it makes more sense to just drive here where they offer more choices at equal or better prices.
