Super clean and organized store. Depends upon what you are looking for specifically, but there are some great prices on many of the items. I went around 8:25 this morning after seeing that they were open at 8am. As I walked in, there was a employee meeting occurring near the cash registers. As the meeting ended, during my shopping trip, you could tell that everyone who worked there really does enjoy their job. At checkout, my cashier was super friendly and kept up a great conversation during the time of the entire transaction.

Trader Joe's is one of those grocery stores that you hold dear to your heart and moving across the country, this location was no different. I was able to find a few of my favorite items and enjoy them at my new home away from home. They have a nice selection of fruits and veggies, as well as those Trader Joe's store brand items. They have a decent selection of frozen foods such as their orange chicken, their potstickers, frozen pizzas, pastas, and so much more. They have a nice sample area, where you can try specially selected samples which are always different on each visit. There is also a pretty good beer selection, which also includes some of the local breweries such as Two Roads and the Bronx brewery. The staff was extremely helpful and the cashier Noah was friendly during checkout. A great shopping experience! The only downside is their parking lot can be a bit crazy, especially on the weekends, so I would suggest coming here during the week for your grocery needs!

The store is clean and well stocked for the most part although there are items missing every time I go. The biggest problem is The Wi-Fi. This matters because we store all the grocery list on their app and when you're in the store, their Wi-Fi sucks. It's unreliable and all the coupons are digital which means you have to have Wi-Fi to be able to save the coupon while you're there. I mean it used to be horrific and now it's only bad. I was able to go to the front of the store and get a signal and get onto my app, but it's less than ideal and they're aware of it and they've been aware of it For over a year. And don't tell me it's not fixable because that's bullshit. In my opinion, the best option is Shoprite, which is a first class store. You feel like you're at a high-end store but paying regular supermarket prices.

Once again, they have repeated the same dishonest behavior. Every time we have brought whole turkeys to be cut, the price has increased from $4 last year to $7 this year. What really angers me is not just the higher price but also the fact that they have been keeping parts of the turkeys such as wings, necks, and other parts without our knowledge. When I tried to address this issue with a manager like I did last year, the cashier rudely dismissed me, claiming it was not her concern and hung up. They overcharge you and then proceed to keep parts of the turkey you brought in, essentially charging other customers for what they have taken from you without consent. Despite receiving an apology and assurance from management last year that this would not happen again, they have repeated the same deceitful practice. It is concerning to think about how many other customers they might be doing this to. Essentially, they are stealing the meat that belongs to their customers after agreeing to cut it. This year, they are charging $7 for a service that cost $4. When you take your meat to their store for cutting, be sure to keep a close eye on them to prevent any of your meat from being taken without your knowledge. SMFH.

This review is an emotional outpouring…read more Stew Leonard's (SL) has been a part of my life for 55 years. I first came to this store soon after it opened, when it was much smaller and the only SL store. I now live a few hours away from any of the stores, but 2 SL shopping bags are among those my family uses regularly. I still go here and to other SLs when it's opportune, and the close relationship between SL and my family culminated when, upon his passing, SL SR. was placed a few strides away from my parents at Willowbrook Cemetery (rated 5). Over the years our family developed a close personal connection with the store. My mother became good friends with the head chef there (the prepared foods are excellent--I still always get the ambrosia salad when I'm there!). Sorry I don't recall his name. He was there from at least the mid 90s to the early 2000s. As my mother grew older we started having increasing numbers of SL items as side dishes at our holiday meals. In 2001 when she died we had SL provide the whole Thanksgiving dinner. I recall going in and speaking to the head chef, informing him of my mother's passing. He said he had wondered what had happened to her and missed her. The connection between our family and the store grew with my wife and kids. When we got engaged I got my wife's parents a SL gift basket, complete with Elsa the cheese cow. We would all visit this store and some of the others while traveling, enjoying the ice cream on site and bringing non-perishables back home, as well as apple cider in season--we'd bring the coolers for that. I don't know if my mother ever met either the Senior or Junior proprietor. I won't say I 'met' either of them, but I did encounter them both together once. There were no intros, and it was brief and terse. It was early summer 1979 or '80; like many college students, I thought SL would be a good summer 'gig'. I went to apply and found no parking spaces, but saw another parking lot across the street. I parked there and two men, one old one young, both dressed business formal, went walking past. The older one asked why I was parking there. I noticed the SL employee-only sign only then; I said I was going to apply for a job. He insisted there were none available. I started to say I would like to just leave an application, but he cut me off, saying again "there are no jobs!" [Please continue reading in the review space for the Stew Leonard's store in Danbury. It feels hidden in the sense that you could drive right past it and miss it, but once you find it, it is absolutely worth it. There is parking out front which is a plus. Inside, it is exactly what you would expect from a classic mom and pop Italian deli. Small, warm, welcoming, decently lit, and clean. They also have a huge menu with tons of options, not even counting everything available at the deli counter. I took my time looking over the menu and the staff was patient while I decided. I ordered a sausage, egg, and cheese with black pepper on a wedge and a bacon, egg, and cheese lightly toasted on white bread. The wedge was the highlight. Big portion, very filling, and everything tasted fresh and high quality. It was cooked and put together really well. My only small critique is that the bread was very soft and the eggs were falling out a bit, but I also did not ask for it toasted so that may be on me. The bacon, egg, and cheese on white bread was good as well. The only downside was that it was very lightly toasted, almost not toasted at all, and it used bacon pieces instead of strips. Overall, this is an excellent local deli with quality food, generous portions, and a welcoming feel. I would definitely recommend stopping by, and I will absolutely be back.
