Trader Joe's the only supermarket I go to get my routine groceries. I love that this location is not too crowded around my grocery time. I usually come here right before closing and it's amazing how fresh their meat is. I've been prepping my own meals a few times a week and their meat section seems to be very consistent with the quality. I can't complain about the customer service as all of cashiers are very kind and professional. And I've been using Avocado oil(even received prescription drug status in France) and Trader Joe's brand avocado is very high in quality compared to several other brands I've tried in the past. read more

Let me first start by saying I LOVE TRADER JOES!!!!.....But not this location, multiple times I've had issues with employees here. You just know your in a different "part of town" when you enter. My last visit was the last for me as I'll stick to my local store . Handful of employees here are not friendly at all with attitudes, questionable stares like your a criminal especially when your returning something. Recently when I was returning something I had a short stocky Caucasian lady who is the manager doing my returns. I'll admit I had a handful of items to return which frankly just didn't taste good, Trader Joe's policy is to ask no questions just bring it back and you get a credit. Regardless she asked me why and I told her they didn't taste good, I was just being honest and wow I got the death stare and a nasty roll of eyes attitude like I did something wrong. Maybe she was having a bad day or just needs better training....... trader Joe's has always been known to be extra friendly I guess this store didn't get the policy. read more

Nice store for packaged nuts and trek mixes. Bags of organic lettuces and greens. Odd and not ordinary things in the freezer case. If you love chocolate try the dark chocolate gnache cake. Frozen organic vegetables. Rice pudding in the dairy case. Look around you will find some odd things. If you try it and don't like it you can return it. Trader Joe's is cool. I have a lot of things I pick up when I go there - shrimp corn dogs, baked lentil chips, mini burger meat, mini chicken tacos and 5 layer taco dip are ones that stand out in my head. I have tried some things I did not care for from here, the frozen indian food comes to mind. Overall, you can find some really good stuff here and mostly healthy too! This location is always a mad house. They open at 9:30 which a half hour later than all of the other Trader Joe's open on the island. Doesn't sound like a big deal until you consistently forget they don't open til that time and you get there at 9:00 and find yourself spending money on useless stuff at Rite Aid next door until they open. I don't like how this Trader Joe's is organized. They are always out of something and that something tends to me the thing I really need. One thing I do love about this location is that they always have organic coffee samples for customers to try along with different creamers and milks. The bathrooms don't have any cool scents, lotions or trader joe's soaps! Totally bummer because all the other Trader Joe's I have been to have them. Turns out when you use the bathroom and test out a soap that's good, you'll probably buy it! At least I would..... Customer service ALWAYS friendly here so that's a nice plus as well. This is just the best TJs I've been to. It isn't the biggest one, but the staff is awesome and the store is always organized and clean. They have no issues with looking in the back for something or helping you out. I rarely run into long lines either. The best deal here has to be the flowers. For 5.99, you get a gorgeous bouquet, nicer than some florists. Stock up on frozen veggies and other specialties. The meat is pricey, but good. Pre made salads are also super cheap, 3-5$, and a great deal. I pick up a few for the week and bring them for lunch at work. The only issue is that often, you'll find items get discontinued. Be aware that since this is a smaller TJs they might not carry all the same items as a larger store, but be assured that most of what you're looking for will be here. read more

This is my favorite TJ's. I love the setup and the selection. It gets packed at certain times, mainly the weekends. The staff is so nice and helpful and more than once have even made meal suggestions. If you bring your own bags, you can enter their weekly raffle to win a $25 gift card. read more

Smaller Trader Joe's in a great location. This is one of the smaller TJ's that I have been to, it's in a great spot (on my way home from work) but the parking lot is a nightmare at times and they are often out of certain items. I mostly use it for quick shops, and will go to the Commack location for a full grocery run. read more

Good quality food at good prices - can't really ask for more. Their frozen selection is our favorite from the shu mai and dumplings to their garlic fries. We only wish our freezer was bigger. Another positive is their portion/package sizing is just enough that you can sample whatever you like and most are less than $4. read more

Wish they would open a branch in Queens or Western Nassau County. Love their almond butter and mostly all of their own products. Their hickory chips and chocolate chip dunkers are to die for. Every time i home here the people at the register allow other people to cut in line . There was a customer waiting on another line to the left of me and my cart was pulled up behind the register ( on the CORRECT side ) which is the same side as the person ringing up ) i have confirmed with Trader joe employees that this is the correct side . My wagon will be there as Iam waiting in line and someone who is waiting on the left register will come over to the right and cut me and pretend she was on my line , just because my line opened up . And i know for s fact this customer was on the other line because she was behind her friend ! I think Trader Joe's needs to have a sign saying line up here being that there line in not set up like a traditional grocery store line ! And Iam always getting cut by people playing stupid or getting confused ! Please do something about this It's very aggravating . I am a Traders fan. I never new the company before they opened their Plainview location. Now my wife and I go there almost 5x's a week. This is the market for the health conscious consumer on a budget. They carrier their own label foods, unique varieties and the usual stuff. I guess you could call me hooked on Traders!! read more

my favorite place to shop. It is the only budget conscious store i have found to carry all healthy food. I never have to worry about reading labels and checking everything i pick up to make sure there is no hydrogenated oil or other toxic ingredients... Everyone knows trader joes is great however if I had to find one default is that this location seems to have less fresh produce then others I have been to. However the actual location of the store is fantastic. What is better then getting your grocery's at trader joes then going next door to CVS and ending at Shoe Box? I love this trader joes, the products are great, the produce is limited but what the do have is all of great quality, very fresh and reasonably priced. The parking lot outside is sometimes jam packed, especially on weekends. The lines can be really long as well, but they move fast since the cashiers are really fast and efficient. I love their slightly less unhealthy tortilla chips, their basics like milk and eggs, and their cheese selection is great. I love their unique varieties of mushrooms and their hummus. The vast majority of the staff is very friendly and nice, the cashiers and stocking staff are always helpful, they are great people. I'm taking off just one star because the actual store manager at the front is very rude and unfriendly. If you have any issue and mention it to him, he'll give you an angry disgusted look. He hates customers, seriously. I wish the manager would learn from his own employees how customer service is done. If not for that, I would have given this place a perfect score. read more

We love Trader Joes great prices high quality food and better than local supermarket pricing on just about every food item & their own trade mark brand is very high quality. Ready to make frozen foods such as various Chinese stir fry, other frozen foods & vegetables etc I have found to be cheap in price and generous in proportion. I applaud Trader Joes for their staff as well as they are always friendly and quick with a smile definitely a tight knit group kinda like staff at Starbucks, just kool people. A Trader Joe's is a Trader Joe's when it comes to products/produce available--nothing special here. However, the one thing I've become accustomed to at any Trader's is a friendly staff. I'm not looking for someone to ask me how my day was or even smile, but I do expect someone to speak when spoken to. During check out, a bitter young cashier was offered a greeting from a young lady and he said nothing. Nothing. Not even a smile or a nod. He preferred instead to continue a conversation with another cashier who was also ignoring her customers. Call me old fashioned, but if my job involves working with customers I'm assuming a bare minimum of what is expected of me at any company (but especially this one) is to acknowledge that they're human and conscious. read more

I've been coming here for years. Since it expanded it's easier to walk through. I always bought my special cheeses at Fairway (some quite expensive, i.e. aged gouda) but discovered T.Js has them for around $4 per pound cheaper ! WOW.. amazing... Good bye Fairway, for those. FOR CHOCOLATE LOVERS ONE HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT: I always bought the fresh flourless chocolate cake, and/or the frozen dark chocolate ganache cake. Either could totally satisfy any "chocoholic's" addiction. Well, for the last couple of years TJs no longer carries them. I still bump into customers looking for them like I do. TJs.. have a heart! Get them back and give out samples and you will see these products flying off the shelves, again. The only good substitute I have found is the "Brooklyn chocolate babka." It's delicious but very difficult to slice, and serve, for company. The Pound Plus bars are excellent but not for company. Great cereal choices that are lower in sugar. Heritage flakes ie. Very helpful staff and store is clean .Keep up the good work, TJs but, please help us "chocoholics" out. PS: As another reviewer noted, (Frank), all items are not marked where they are produced or where the ingredients come from. I also refuse to buy any edible products from China since they put toxic garbage in many things or use contaminated materials, to save money.
