SilverLake location.
Carl N.

Trader Joe's is a grocery chain store and they are ubiquitous in LA county; store is located at Hyperion Ave in Silver Lake. This store is small albeit has all the stuff that customers need. It's clean, well lit, and organized. Staff were affable and professional. Parking lot is almost always full and finding street parking in the area is horrendous. Overall, it's a popular grocery store in the neighborhood.

I LOVE this place. It took me years to get over brand names. Now I avoid them. If you care about the ingredients that you put in your body - reading the labels on products here is a great place to start. Sometimes they are out of regular items. Just be ready. Ask for help and every employee is always willing. Parking can be rough, but try to find a good time. The bathrooms are clean but I swear some people come here to go number 2. At least 6 times for me over the years the person in front of me took care of their business and the olfactory evidence was alarming. Other guests can be rough too... maybe it's just LA but don't let others affect your experience. The staff are all great! Cool people all around. Products that are staples for me - pepperoni pizza is the bomb - green sauce tamales - sliced gouda - gluten free everything bagels (toast them) - clusters cereals - trader joes version of pringles - organic veggies - coconut based ice cream If you have kids - look for the fox for a small reward! If it looks like I am talking to myself - I am not. Trust me. Thank you.

Citrus garlic seasoning

Came yesterday to grab a few items. Lines were long but the staff was efficient and didn't have to wait long. I tried their citrus garlic seasoning and it is SO good! I made a dish with chicken and used it as the seasoning. The building seems outdated and the location is small, but most Trader Joe's are small so that's nothing new. Next visit I will try that Ube ice cream I saw. I decided against it this visit but very curious and excited to try it next time!

My review base on only flowers I got from this supermarket. Price is good even some of them are damaged. My friend and I have to make over twelve flower vases. It will cost lots of money if we just buy them from a flower shop. We have to recreate a bit, but it is worth.

Your parking lots are the absolute worst in all of LA:( The wait times are atrocious and people shopping there are just dicks truly!

I honestly dont know why anyone would want to drink a matcha and shop at the same time, but this…read moreplace is really great for the coffee shake I'm addicted to. It's called Canyon Coffee, but the menu has a rotating selection of espressos, so I'm assuming. The cashier ladies are nice, a bit slow, but there's a seating area so you're not in a long line while a bunch of people wait next to you. They always close the hot foods early so if you need to customize any drinks or order a matcha first, be sure to go to the espresso station and then the cashier station, before purchasing groceries. Better than Lazy Acres/Bristol Farms. L.A. G&C blends in beautifully with the community the market with space set up for craft collabs and the holiday fair, and integrates nuances as distinguishable as Erewhon's, but defines its offering apart from other markets. The only thing is, they dont have many outlets which is strange because the seating area houses so many people theoretically speaking.

I've shopped here for a month now and they are definitely trying to use Erewhon as a blueprint…read more I've worked at Erewhon for many years, so Im very familiar with quality and esthetics. The hot food bar definitely needs improvement and definitely not for those prices. Lacks flavor and the temperature is always cold. -_- I went there 3 days in a row and noticed The cucumber salad isnt fresh and made daily. Tried it and trashed it. Tried the Cortado and Latte and their espresso is very bitter and lacked depth. Most of the staff on the floor are rude and are "checked out" and very unwelcoming. I'd rather spend my money elsewhere.

Also, the prices are very reasonable, especially during sales, so it's cheaper than at neighboring markets. Also, it's nice that there is a bakery and a mini restaurant inside the market. It's also cool that they have a little Nature Republic section in the store, since it's sometimes hard to find specific Nature Republic products. I asked the cashier if she had any paper towels, and she initially said no, but then she took one out from behind the counter and handed it to me. Then she asked me if I still wanted to keep the pickled radish. Like, seriously? I didn't make that hole! Why would I want to keep something that spilled all over my bags and made all my groceries smell sour? And then, instead of helping me clean up, she went off to get more paper towels and started wiping down the counter with Windex. Meanwhile, I had a mountain of groceries to bag, and she just left me to do it all by myself. What kind of cashier acts like that? And just for the record, it was a female cashier.

Today…read moreI was doing my monthly Rosie Bunny Bean run, hadn't had my morning kombucha and decided to stop in. I was promptly greeted by Marcy - she's amazing btw! I asked her how things worked and she explained it all. The kefir/kombucha bottles are $4 for 16 oz and they have 3 of each on tap. I asked Marcy about one before realizing everything had a QR code and you can easily pull up the ingredients and descriptions/directions for each item. I'm getting away from plastics and this place scratches me right where I itch! They sell just about anything you can imagine! I was so impressed w the selection! They even have produce and fresh sourdough bread! The day old is 50% off and I'm so mad I was in a pinch and had to buy store bought bread, otherwise I would've tried it today. I can't say enough. Even the music was fire and I was shazaming and jamming. Shower gels, body care, non seed oils, baking mixes, laundry pods and things you see in bulk at like Sprouts, but the quality and sourcing seems to be better. Some items don't need jars and they sell paper bags for .10 each. I did a kombucha/kefir tasting. Marcy brought these steel bowls over. No waste at all! If you drink the POG kefir soda at Erewhon and love it, try it here! It's made w fruit and is noticeably better! And POG there is my fave. Just try it at Re_!!! So when I was checking out I asked Marcy about being more prepared and bringing my own glasses next time. They've thought of everything!!!! There's iPads and scales in the front of the store. They weigh your empty containers and give you a sticker with the tare weight and then subtract it from the weight at the end! Revolutionary! They add 3% for the employees. I should've added more. Marcy was amazing and worth it. I'm honestly not big on tipping everyone for just breathing but if all the employees are like Marcy, they are worth way more than 3%! If you sign up you get 100 points instantly, $1 = 1 pt, and at 200 pts you get $10! It's not hard to spend in places like this but it's beyond worth it. I keep seeing things about the harms of plastic and don't get me started on all the other crap in our food. I foresee this as a new staple in my diet and home. They even have cleaning products! I'm getting my spices here from now on too! I'm a fan and I'll be back! Thank you Marcy and to the owners that had this amazing idea!
