My wife loves traders. They have a couple things I like but I'm not the biggest fan, I go for her mostly. This traders is always packed and if you know traders it's a bunch of people blocking aisles and texting while being in the way. The aisles are always packed my least favorite thing about this store. But what drives me nuts is how people with more than 15 items get in the 15 items or less lane and the cashier doesn't tell them no. Because they know they can get away with it, they'll do it every time. The cashiers need to put a stop to this. Someone's in the line with more than 15 and I don't care how long they've been there, they'll cashier tells them to go to another line I guarantee they'll stop doing it. Was there yesterday, totally packed, two people in front of me in the 15 or less lane, both with more than 15. Turns out it would have been faster for me to go to another lane. But will the managers ever enforce this? Nope. They're reading my review laughing at how dumb I am for going into their store. I wish a sprouts would open up around here. read more

I was on the lookout for a good place to find decent dips, and Trader Joe's came to mind. I was pleasantly surprised by their wide selection, which included both vegan and regular options in a variety of flavors. I ended up trying the Vegan Almond Chipotle Dip, which was really tasty and flavorful. I also picked up their Greek Yogurt Cucumber Dip--while it sounded appealing, it ended up tasting more like pickles or relish than fresh cucumber, which was a bit of a letdown. Still, overall, Trader Joe's offers a solid selection of dips. The store was clean, well-organized, and not too busy when I visited on a weekday morning. I've been here a few times. The parking lot is very busy so go with time and patience. This location seems a little smaller but they are fully stocked. They had an everything we needed we did go on a Sunday and it seems that's when everyone likes to go the most. They had all the Christmas things I was looking for. More snacks here than other TJ locations, and I like that they have a dedicated vegan section, even though I'm not vegan. I needed some snacks to take on the road, to avoid the temptation of buying junk food when I get hungry. Trader Joe's was open and available when I was on the way, while I was on the hunt for a gas station. It wasn't busy, as it was still kinda of early on the morning. It's one of the bigger sizes Trader Joe's with a nice sized refrigerates section. I grabbed some simple snacks for later: 1 banana (charged per item, never by weight!!), 2 chomps jerky sticks: 1 jalapeno, 1 turkey. The Trader Joe's on Oak Grove has been short on pasta options, so it was refreshing when we came here and the pasta was stacked so high it was almost falling over! This is my go to store. The last visit was super disappointing. The Hispanic looking guy at the counter was just super rude. TJ always associates for super friendly and helpful stuff. This is not a review of the food or cleanliness , but specifically of the customer service at the 1150 Concord Ave location today. Today mom was at the register when she realized she'd forgotten her card. Several of her items had melted by the time I arrived to pay. When we asked to exchange them as they were ruined, an employee responded in a manner that this is would be a significant inconvenience (several registers were empty) and they would have to re-ring up her dozens of items. I don't object to any store policy, but the way in which he spoke to my already visibly embarrassed mom - there is no need to make a customer feel that asking for un-ruined food is an undue burden to the staff. This is not in line with my experience at this or other Trader Joe locations, where the staff is usually gracious and happy to help. read more

It's a very nice TJs. Clean, fresh, friendly, well-stocked, and enough parking, I'd just go as early as possible on weekends in the future. Very busy & popular on the weekends like most TJs. Hadn't been to one in probably over two years. I used to live near one so i could just walk there on the weekends. This one is about 5 miles away, not too bad but im definitely not walking it. Didn't realize how much I missed all their items and that their prices have not changed at ALL since pre-COVID??! Wow, that amazes me. Safeway on the other hand.. prices have skyrocketed. So I felt like I got a lot more groceries for the $ today by shopping at TJs. I also remember eating a lot healthier when I used to shop there so I'll try to only shop there from now on. read more

I use to work across the street from this location. I would come here after getting my drink from Starbucks to walk around. I like how Trader Joe's did during the pandemic. They patrol how many people came in and out of the store. I like how they took measure for the safety of the customers. Trader Joe's still gets plenty of customer shopping inside. The line inside can be long but they make sure social distance is enforce inside the store. I felt safe with the six feet rules (wasn't too close to the customer). The customer service at this location is good. I was greeted by the cashier and they bagged my grocery nicely. I will come back to this location again. read more

If you go to multiple Trader Joe's you will see a similar layout to the others. Needed to get a couple of items and everything was well stocked. There was a lot of people shopping but the registers were fully staffed so there was little wait. It seemed that this store was bigger than my local one and there seemed to be more items. Minus one star because a lot of items didn't have the price labeled and I didn't want to take a bunch of items to the register for a price check. I like trying new things but it wasn't just for one item that wasn't labeled...it was for multiple new items that I wanted to try. I didn't even bother. read more

Trader Joe's is one of those places that has proven again and again to be a place not only for reasonably priced essentials - but there are consistently fun new items to try out as well. Prior the pandemic, I stopped at this location every once in awhile. I stopped in a few days before the SIP order when the panic shopping began and many shelves were completely empty. I was triggered and stressed by the experience and had been hesitant to return (hearing about the LONG lines and crowds). I finally decided to stop by in May and was pleasantly surprised by the experience. I also wanted to snag a pint of their limited edition Ube ice cream (no luck on those Ube Mochi Pancakes though - maybe next year!) which if you are curious has a stronger coconut flavor than ube to me but solid item for the price. There are social distance markers outside the store for when it's busy. They are diligently spraying down the carts and baskets after use. There is a crew member at the door monitoring the capacity (and probably to ensure each customer is wearing their face covering). There are plexi-glass installed at the registers. Wipes are provided near the entrances. I am more observant of how businesses are operating during the pandemic. Overall, I have been impressed with how TJ's has taken safety precautions and guidelines very seriously. The crew members also have maintained upbeat attitudes which as a customer helps with stressful grocery trips - I really appreciate it! They are doing a wonderful job! :D I recommend coming on a weeknight (Tues or Wed) or weekend late mornings as those times I have found to be less busy. Of course with these unpredictable times, definitely bring your patience! *They have added a table outside for you to bag your own groceries with your own reusable bags if you do not want their paper ones. read more

I love my local Trader Joe's store minus the jerk manager, Dean. Tonight I did my usual Sunday shopping and while checking out I mentioned to my checker, Anthony, that my last Caesar salad had a fly (gnat type) in it but that my boyfriend threw the whole packaging away while at work so I could t bring it back. My thought was that he might comp the salad in my cart. Okay, so he starts to but then turns to Dean and asks if a refund can be given without a receipt. Dean replies yes but then proceeds to ask me for a receipt or the packaging as proof. I was totally offended as if I'm trying to get over on a $4 salad. I told him no packaging and no receipt with me. As if that wasn't obvious by Anthony's question to begin with. Honestly, I wasn't even coming to the store to ask for a refund, which is why I didn't even have the receipt with me. It was a thought and a comment I had while in line. Come on Dean!! I spend THOUSANDS of dollars in YOUR store every year, shop there multiple times a week and know many of the very nice staff. This is the second time Dean specifically has given me a hard time and for what? He proceeds to say "yeah, sure on the refund" and turns around. I apologized to Anthony and the bagger, Maddy, since we were having a nice conversation beforehand. I think they were taken aback by the whole interaction with Dean as I was. The topper, though is that I was leaving at closing, so the exit doors did not open when I approached it with my cart. Dean came over and opened the doors as I pushed past him. He did not say a word to me but instead slammed the doors behind me. Unbelievable! I am going to escalate this to a district manager. It's totally rude and unprofessional not to mention uncalled for. Maddy if you read this review next time, please wait to talk about your customers or the situation until they're gone. Regardless of what you were saying, I heard you telling someone who had nothing to do with it. I just love Trader Joe's. This store is actually the first Trader Joe's I ever visited many years ago. I came back because of needing an ingredient and my local store was temporarily out of stock. Clean store, friendly Crew, great choices and prices. This store seems roomier and a little easier to get around. But then you also need to take more steps to get where you're going and not being familiar with the layout, I took a lot of steps trying to find things. She was standing around doing nothing I got in another line she saw me reluctantly turned to work her pos - I wasn't sure if that meant she was open so I had to ask her if she was to which she said yea. This is the best Trader Joe's I've been to. The abundance of items is always plentiful and unique compared to others. The staff are exceptionally friendly and always so helpful. They helped locate some hard to find seasonal items at other locations and it made my day. My favorite items to get are the Chinese chicken salad with the peanut dressing, garlic pita chips, the fried macaroni and so much more. Highly recommend this location above any others. read more

I had no idea what to expect but man is this sauce great on red meats such as beef skewers. It's spicy but leaves me wanting more. Parking can be a bit tricky at times, but still plentiful. The store is organized and usually well-stocked. I also appreciate how well this location does with keeping areas and carts clean and sanitized. The checkout lines can also get long at times, but moves fairly quickly. This Trader Joe's is nice but you might be confused on entrance vs exit. This was established pre-pandemic, but the doors that are near Concord Blvd/Starbucks is for the entrance. A little confusing at first. but not a big deal. What makes this Trader Joe's unique is that the entrance area/produce area is wider at the front of the store. This means a bottleneck would be deeper into the store, but you have the option to pick different pathways after getting in. Otherwise, weekdays are generally pretty quiet here. read more

The only quarantined grocery shopping I have done in the last 2.5 months. I knew I would find everything I need here and decided that I wouldn't need to go to another store afterward. I was recommended after calling in that coming on Mondays or Tuesdays during the morning is quiet, but nowadays there is a waiting line outside the door even on those days and times. It's at least a 20-minute wait from past the 5 min'ish sign they posted. Once you're inside it's not too crowded, so it's actually worth the wait. Some treats I picked up that you should try: 1. Chocolate glazed and sour cream glazed donuts 2. Pound plus milk chocolate with Almonds 3. French Vanilla Ice Cream 4. Apples, blackberries, mandarin oranges, navel oranges (so sweet)! I still come here regularly and am blown away by excellent customer service. I was in the express line the other day and there was only 1 person in front of me. A TJ person swoops in and offers to ring me up at the adjacent register. Additionally, they are always so helpful. If you ask where something is, they walk you to that item. How awesome is that?
