Let me start by saying that they should take the Tennis out of their name. I don't play golf. If I…read moredid, I would probably have loved this place. They had so much golf gear it was insane. I was hoping to find some new tennis clothes. Yeah right. They did have one tiny section of women's tennis apparel, a few bags, a small selection of racquets and a couple pairs of shoes. The tennis clothes were very picked over- obviously I was not the first to come here looking for something other than golf gear. They had Tail, Nike, and Adidas. Some of the items were marked 10% off and those were exceptionally picked over. Bottom line- if you need golf gear this is your store. If you are in need of tennis gear I suggest you head somewhere else.

This store is great! I love the merchandise and people there are pretty helpfull…read more EXCEPT for one employee which i dont know his name. I was walking around the store and went to the new club rack and saw a Hybrid club that had been clearly used and even had scuff marks, It was the OBVIOUS demo club. So i pick it up and go to the hitting bay and start the computer so that it will track my shots, as im about to hit(mind you I havent hit a shot) an employee comes up to me and asks if i purchased the club, for which i responded no, he later takes the club from my hand and inspects the face of the club (that had been clearly hit by someone else) and accuses me of hitting it and damaging a "NEW CLUB". I told him that i hadnt hit the club and he later goes on and asks if im calling him a lier, and i tell him that he isnt a lier im just saying that i havent hit the club and later invite him to check the security cameras to prove that hes wrong. He starts walking away and I keep insisting on checking the cameras and he turns back and tells me to SHUT UP!!!!! At that moment I ask him if hes out of his mind and he says: YEAH A LITTLE BIT. This employee was really rude and disrespectfull, he insulted a costumer without having any reason to do so. I go up to the manager and complain and all they can come up with is a $10 gift card. I DONT WANT A GIFT CARD!!! This is outrage! What kind of people are they hiring that can go up and insult costumers?!?! I hope this person gets fired and banned from working in any golf store of course! I feel really offended!

Most bunkers had a lot of water surrounded by mud. Worst course i've played in my 62 years of playing golf in 20 states and 8 countries. Go play elsewhere.

I'm still in shock of just how bad the course conditions were yesterday!…read moreFairways were grown out longer than the rough. Tee boxes were disgustingly dirty with trash overflowing from trash bins, broken tees all over tee box & overgrown to where the ball is buried after teeing up the ball for a driver?! Greens as well were overgrown and super slow and overflowing with un repaired divots. As I'm writing this I'm realizing that this was as bad as playing an about to go bankrupt public course in some middle of nowhere very decapitated town. I've always liked this layout so this is sad to witness. The young kid working pro shop and the girls at the very old and small & cramped Bar were nice in that they smiled but when my friend asked for his points total in his membership, he couldn't tell him and when my other friend poured his Diet Pepsi into the cup he was given, there was a hole that spilled his drink all over the counter, they did not offer him a new Pepsi bottle. I did notice that the old back deck was refurbished/cleaned up, that's something.

Prestwick hosted the first of our three round tournament this past weekend, and even though some of…read morethe later clubs were very highly billed, this was probably my favorite course of the three from a pure golf perspective. I love a Pete Dye design, and while one of my courses back home is my favorite example, this one would not be far behind. Driving in you're confronted with a well manicured neighborhood, towering clubhouse with exceptional view of the 9th and 18th holes, plenty of parking, and a substantial restaurant and bar area. Everything about check in was a well oiled machine, and all the staff were courteous/helpful. The starter lied to us a little about how fast the greens were, preparing us for a very fast surface when i reality, it seemed about normal to me. Maybe I play a lot of fast greens? Not sure... but I didn't have putts racing away from me. Both the on course beverage cart and bar staff at the turn were great. Everything about the course was in great shape, except for the tee boxes, which we found to be pretty chewed up and absolutely covered in sand. Ultimately, if the one thing I am complaining about is the tee box, I can live with it. If I hit the ground on my tee shot, I probably did something wrong. Fairways were green and neither too hard or soft. Rough areas were recently cut, and the sandtraps were proper sand in most areas. The greens were flawless, and that's always the most important part to me, as I said before, rolled true not too fast. I had my worst round of the three here, but that was my own doing, not the course. There were scoring opportunities that I just didn't take advantage of. There is a good mix here of holes where you can let the big dog eat, and others where an iron or fairway wood off the tee is a smarter play. I'll definitely return here for another round on a future trip!

It was great course and great staff all the way around. I would highly recommend playing a round…read moreof golf, then getting some food.
