My go-to auto shop…read more If you bring your own fluids and parts, most shops won't put it in your car. They want to sell you the whole package. Or maybe they don't trust the parts you bring in. But I'm trying to save money usually when I go in for an auto repair. I've got a 10-year-old german car and no garage to do my own repairs in. If you ask, you'll get good advice from the mechanics here. If you don't, they put your part in and let you be. It's a good, honest, affordable shop here and I've been very happy with the service.

Carlos is a great guy! Best prices around and quality work. He doesn't over sell services, he tells…read moreyou exactly what's wrong and fixes it correctly. He's caught multiple issues after work from the dealership or other mechanics. Brought my car to a different shop once for a small service and then to his shop a month later for alignment and wheel rotation. Turned out my tires had practically no tread left and risked a blowout. It wasn't visible without a lift due to the dealership selling the car with the wheels on a larger negative camber. Other shop didn't say anything about it but glad I brought it in because I was traveling out of state frequently at that time. Saved me from a blowout on the highway. Only shop I trust to not just do the service needed at the moment but looking out for other issues or what to expect down the road.

I do NOT recommend this place. I was a few weeks out from making multiple long drives and wanted to…read moreensure my car was in top shape. I had been hearing a rattling in the front of the car and also wanted my brakes looked at. I was given an appointment and brought my car in. Someone took my car for a drive, came back, and he said to me "your brakes are fine, I don't know what you think you're hearing. Bring it back if it gets worse." They didn't actually even LOOK at the brakes like I had requested. I was still concerned about my car and knew there was something wrong, and brought it to a different shop. This place actually looked at the car as well as drove it and found that needed all new front brakes, calipers, and struts. Well over $1000 worth of work. I'm glad I was able to give that place my money with their efforts and thoroughness. I will never bring my car to Smooth Automotive again.

A1 is an exemplar for automotive shops. When you bring your car here, you can expect both friendly…read moreservice and complete transparency about the nature of repairs, pricing, and the timeline for completing work. I've been taking my 17-year-old Kia to them for the last several years, and they have done everything from replacing broken sway bar links to managing to fix the catalytic converter when a needed part was unavailable due to supply chain issues in 2022. They are upfront about the most that a repair might cost, but they always try to fix things in the way that results in the lowest price tag for customers. Moreover, they give realistic and reasonable timelines for how long things might take to complete, but they often finish up ahead of when they estimate. Once again: an exemplar for automotive shops!
