When looking for dermatologists within my network and area, Beaird Dermatology came up as a…read morerecommended option. Their office is located in a multi story building in Hoffman Estates by the I-90 expressway. Their office seems newer with concrete floors/white walls being minimal and modern. It was easy to get an appt and I didn't have to wait too long as a first time patient. My first visit was a general visit to check for concerning blemishes and discuss some long-standing skin concerns. I was prescribed three different creams for three different areas as well as recommended an over the counter shampoo. I tried products as recommended and didn't see results. I recently reached out (3 months later) to follow up that items weren't working and was told I'd have to come back in because I didn't follow up. It was news to me as I was never told to follow up on my terms; I expect my doctor to reach out to me. Either way, I scheduled another appt which was another copay. I was recommended two new creams as well as a pill prescription. It's been a week and no pharmacy has reached out to me saying I have a prescription to fill and the pill left me with side effects within days so I stopped taking. I followed up with the office, they asked if I could come back in which would be ANOTHER copay. I sadly am deciding to cut my loses with working with their practice. I refuse to pay another copay three business days after visiting because they didn't ask the right questions when I was last in. I felt the PA I had was kind but other staff was not and only talked in medical terms which left me confused and hard to follow conversation/questions. My PA seemed like he did care but I am left feeling like they want my money more than finding a solution to help me.

Then she recommended us to schedule a separate appointment with surgical which cost thousands dollars, eventually we didn't go. During that visit no treatment, no prescription, maybe only referral to another appointment, we just received billing charge us $200. Does not make sense to me at all. They gave me an appointment the same day (4pm) as I had a growth that's been bothering me on my head and a large skin tag on my left side hip area. To my surprise they removed the growth on my head (cherry anginoma ) and the skin tag on my back. The skin tag on my back wasn't covered by my insurance and I was charged $99 to remove it cause it was considered cosmetic but the one on my head was covered. I couldn't believe how simple it was and pain free. Several days later the removal on my back looked infected to my wife and I stopped over and was instantly seen and they did a culture. Luckily the culture came back negative for infection and I'm now fully healed. I recommend this facility and will definitely return if I need anything else.
