I bought a Groupon and was hesitant after reading the reviews. However I am extremely happy with the results.

I had scheduled a free consultation for microneedling to have my skin evaluated and discuss whether the treatment would be appropriate for me. Unfortunately, I mistakenly arrived at 10:00 a.m. instead of my scheduled 11:00 a.m. appointment. When I checked in, the receptionist informed me that I was an hour early. I apologized for the mix-up and said, "Let's just cancel it. I'll have to reschedule another time," because I couldn't wait an hour. What surprised me was that no one mentioned there would be a cancellation or no-show fee. They simply let me leave. About an hour later, I received a phone call telling me I owed a $50 no-show fee. I was shocked because I did show up--I was simply there at the wrong time due to an honest mistake. Had someone reminded me at the front desk that leaving would result in a $50 charge, I would have stayed for my appointment or made a different decision. Instead, they said nothing and then charged me afterward. I spoke with the manager/owner, hoping they would show some understanding given the circumstances, especially since this was a free consultation and I had physically come to the office. Unfortunately, there was no willingness to work with me or make an exception. The interaction left me feeling that collecting the $50 fee was more important than earning a potential long-term client. Because of how this situation was handled, I would not recommend this business. In my experience, they seemed more concerned about collecting a $50 fee than building a relationship with someone who could have become a loyal client for future aesthetic treatments. Everyone makes an honest scheduling mistake from time to time, and I believe customer service is measured by how a business responds in those moments. I'll start off on a positive note. They did influence me to get lip filler, I like and have been continuing to get it. Preface I no longer go to this med spa. Next on laser hair removal. I spent probably close to almost $2,000 on laser hair removal and it was total bull. Doesn't work. I still have plenty of hair. I got under my arms done 12-14 times and I still shave everyday. I got probably close to 8 or more done on my Brazilian area and looks the same as before. Mind you, I got this done a few years ago and felt like I couldn't say I wasn't seeing results and felt delusional. Anyway I'm just very upset I thought I was making a good investment, but just ended up wasting ~$2,000. It's been on my mind and has been really making me upset lately, so I hope this post helps someone. Would not recommend, look elsewhere. read more

Nice place in downtown Algonquin. Who knew this area was so built up nowadays. Next to a nice condo/new apartment complex, seems like a spanking brand new business and we should all support SBOs nowadays... The redheaded nurse was nice and so was the owner with the lash extensions. The decor is cute but the distance is a factor for me... as well as the lack of free parking. I lucked out the last time, might have been a fluke. The Port restaurant across the street looks adorable though... especially the park and the water... SO pretty. read more

The only reason I'm giving the place a two star review is because they do deserve credit for Barbara . She did amazing. I came in the first time on Groupon because the previous place I went to had moved. I really liked the results the first time around and three months later, I set up an appointment. I went to the appointment was a new girl that injected me and it wasn't the same pattern as I previously had. I had two giant bumps on my forehead accompanied with severe pain around my scar by my eyebrow. I've been getting injected for seven years and I've never had this much pain. There was swelling around my eye and a lot of bruising. I contacted them to do the follow up so they can see themselves and the girl, the front desk I requested to not be with the same girl as I previously had and when I showed up it was. So I had to reschedule almost a week later and finally got my first injector back. I spent 350 the first time for 36 units. And when I came back for my follow up, not only did I have to come back again for the third time, but they also made me pay to fix what was never done properly. Like I previously stated, I've done this before for seven years and I have never had an issue where a follow up cost me anything. Usually the facility wants to correct any issues and if this case they did not. The discounted me to half the price per unit so I ended up spending $180 plus the 350 and each time I tipped the girls because I feel that you should always type no matter what. But spending $530 on a treatment that I usually average about 300 is ridiculous. As a business owner myself It's about customer service and fixing the issue. read more

I was not contacted to cancel my appointment and there is not even a note on the door. Unless you want to waste your time I would not recommend. read more

Found this place on Groupon with high hopes rom the reviews but unfortunately I don't feel this place is 4 stars. I've been getting Botox for 10 years now and never had any issue with my crows feet area. Myself and my friend went in for treatment, they honored the Groupon price for us which was great for Botox but upon consultation the injector Andrea stated we should try jeuveau instead because for her it lasts up to 5 months. Turns out this product is a cheaper version of Botox. We got our treatment done on 8/15 and on 9/18 I called and left a message to the manager stating this product didn't work for either of us was there something wrong with that bottle? She asked for photos and then I never heard back from her. I went in today on 10/3 for my follow up once again to show it did not work, the injector said it's been halfway through treatment time so it may not last for me and I should have come in after a week. Even though I have photos documented for both of us. The manager came in and told me ID HAVE TO PAY AGAIN TO REINJECT since there's no guarantee this product would work for me. I should not have listened and tried something new that clearly they were just trying to toss out of the bottle or get a commission on injecting this instead. They claim other people had this same bottle/ product that day with no issues. The fact they wouldn't even work with me or offer some sort of compensation back is why I will not be back here. There's plenty of med spas in the Algonquin area that value customers and their money especially if their products don't even work. I've googled this product and it states online to allow at least a month for the product to be at full effect which I did and it clearly was a bad batch. Do not waste your money here, there's a reason they have over 10 Groupons to get clients in there. I speak to voice mail more than I get someone to answer. Seems that early morning is a good time to call. In my experience, only once did Ashley, the spa manager, answer. I had fillers around my mouth area. No improvement. I went in to see the clinician again to show how I had no result, other than 3 weeks of bruising. He said he would speak to Ashely and get back to me. One week later I ended up calling again. Ashely made an appointment for me today at noon. I live 45 minutes away. While I was driving to my appointment , 10 minutes before 12:00 she called and canceled. I called her back and again,I got her voicemail. Went into the spa at noon anyway, and the receptionist was surprised about a 10 minute cancellation. Ashely did call me back, without a resolution. All she did was apologize. I do not trust this spa or the people who work there. No results, to return phone calls. Good luck if you make an appointment with them. read more

I really appreciate how kind they were to me. I found this spa through Groupon and was very pleased with how they were able to schedule me quickly. I didn't realize exactly how far away they were from my house in St. Charles and so I was to arrive a bit behind schedule. I notified them of my ETA via text, as they had just texted me an ariel photo of where to park for free and the entrance location. The customer service here was great however I had no results whatsoever with my IPL. I'm not convinced that the device was set to the right setting or that the tech knew what they were doing or that the device was even legit. She was very short with me and gave me an attitude when I said I had called. I will be updating this after my micro needling session. This place is amazing! My husband and I went in together wondering how it would go. Gina takes her time with you and doesn't make you feel insignificant. Deleting my initial review, changing to ONE star and highlighting the owner. In response to the owners response: are you kidding me?! What kind of owner do blatantly LIES like you have done? I was rescheduled because of my demeanor? I had no demeanor as I waited there for ten minutes and no one came out. After ten minutes someone came out and said she looked at the schedule and I would have to come back. Even though it was ridiculous because I was already there for my scheduled appt AND paid for parking I just said okay and left. The owner called me later and completely threw her staff UNDER THE BUS. She told me that she was surprised at how little knowledge her staff had and apologized for their incompetence. She said the person my appt was with new and improperly trained. She scheduled me the next day with someone new and told me this person was better trained. So yeah, the LIE that my demeanor was not good is actually 100% false. It's insane to me an owner would come here and make such lies? That's extremely sketchy. Also, in regard to sending me email instructions. I didn't ASK for them YOUR employee TOLD ME I would be emailed them, which I wasn't. If that's not YOUR policy then relay it to YOUR staff as they are not telling correct information according to you. To the customers AND employees reading this beware! I love this place! It started out a little rough and I think that's because it is a small business and relatively new. People need to understand there is not always someone available to answer the phone because they are also doing procedures. I have never had to wait more than an hour, usually only a few minutes, to get a call back. You just need to leave a message and they are very good about getting right back to you. They send text messages and/or call for appointment reminders and whenever I have needed to change the schedule for personal reasons they have been very accommodating. Prima offers some great services and the prices are very good in my opinion, comparing to the many places I have tried over the years. They frequently have specials that offer really great deals and packages that makes services even more affordable. These services (facials of all kinds, fillers, injectables, etc.) are expensive no matter where you go and that is important to remember. The staff is VERY nice, professional and skilled. I have had treatments done by 2 nurse (Anne Marie and Gina) and micro needling by Tatiana. I have never been disappointed and actually enjoy my visits because they are not stuffy like you find at some spas, they are genuine. You are a person when you go there, not just a face or a number. read more

This is the worst place that I have ever been for a facial. First off my mom had taken me there for my 50th birthday with two Groupon that we had purchased one was for me to have Microderm abrasion and one was for her to have complete facial. My appointment lasted not even 15 minutes for over a $120 paid facial. I didn't say anything because my mother was next and I didn't want to disturb her so I left I came back to pick my mom up when she got home she had a thick layer dead skin on her face. I bought a groupon and like another reviewer I'm not convinced that I purchased IPL. Felt like nothing and didn't notice improvement. But the real problem is the person who schedules the appointments. Unfriendly. Trying to launch a new med spa with that attitude? Yokes. One appointment I had to cancel the morning of the appointment because I was in so much pain due to a medical condition. When I went in for my second in a series of three, I was informed that my cancellation counted as a session. I would have argued the point but the service wasn't worth it anyway. I had the best anti-aging facial with Raechel! She is pleasant to work with and knowledgeable in her craft. I swear she took 5 years off the look of my face! My wife and I went here yesterday for some Botox and we will never take our business elsewhere. This place was a phenominal find! I've been to several places from LA to Chicago for this procedure, but never have I had such attention paid to what specifically would serve me best. We had our appointment with Gina and she carefully analyzed each of our problem areas, asked us what we ideally wanted to get from the results and then crafted a detailed plan while explaining to us the whys and hows of exactly what her method of attack would be. It was brilliant! Also, painless, surprisingly. I'm not a newbie to needles going into my forehead, but I couldn't feel most of them even going in. My wife made the same remarks while she was getting hers done, she went before me, and I thought she was just being polite or trying to put me at ease. Nope, PAINLESS! I would imagine this was due to the time and care she put into each injection. Also, props to Ashley, who set up my appointment and then managed to squeeze my wife into my appointment at the very end of the day with little notice. On top of helping me figure out a payment problem I had. We were taken care of exceptionally from the moment we walked through the door. Oh, and I should also point out that Gina ran out to our car, in the rain, because I left my phone behind. Above and beyond. I redeemed a Groupon for a collagen facial. I really wanted to like this place as it's close to where I live. Sadly I was disappointed. I was taken back to the facial room. The ambience was lacking. The bright neon light on the ceiling was kept on, there was no turning off of lights, or soft dim lightning as is typical for facials, and there was no music. The person who did my facial didn't explain anything other than just occasionally telling me what she would put on her face. There was no faucet in the room, so she person doing the facial had a bowl of water, which was not particularly pleasant as the water was not particularly warm. The table was small, not particularly sturdy, and there were no blankets, no towels, nothing as is typical for most facials to get under. There was no significant facial massage, the application of the products was thin at best, and I really didn't see much difference in my skin after the facial. The hand/arm massage was odd - mostly rubbing of my fingers, with no lotion/oil or nothing it seems. Disappointing. Sigh. I get that the facial is very economical at $28 or so and that Groupon takes a good chunk of that - but I would have preferred to pay more for a better service. read more
