Before I could investigate a new doctor I noticed a new growth on my aunts arm that needed to be looked at. Britney assisted her and made us feel so comfortable and confident in returning to Vandams. She was so welcoming and immediately made me and my aunt feel comfortable, she could see she was having a hard time and distracted her by making her laugh and she even held her hand when the biopsy was being done. She also sang Dr Vandams praises and it's nice to know that his employees love him as much as his patients do, It shows what a great doctor he is. When the results came back I was happy it was her calling to give the results, she spent alot of time explaining what her skin cancer was and the expectations of the surgery. Britney also made her appt and remembered when we were coming in because she came into the room during the surgery to talk to us. She went above and beyond what I could have ever expected and made us feel like family. I hope she never leaves because Having Britney there is one of the main reasons we love this place. Their office is located in a multi story building in Hoffman Estates by the I-90 expressway. Their office seems newer with concrete floors/white walls being minimal and modern. It was easy to get an appt and I didn't have to wait too long as a first time patient. My first visit was a general visit to check for concerning blemishes and discuss some long-standing skin concerns. I was prescribed three different creams for three different areas as well as recommended an over the counter shampoo. I tried products as recommended and didn't see results. I recently reached out (3 months later) to follow up that items weren't working and was told I'd have to come back in because I didn't follow up. It was news to me as I was never told to follow up on my terms; I expect my doctor to reach out to me. Either way, I scheduled another appt which was another copay. I was recommended two new creams as well as a pill prescription. It's been a week and no pharmacy has reached out to me saying I have a prescription to fill and the pill left me with side effects within days so I stopped taking. I followed up with the office, they asked if I could come back in which would be ANOTHER copay. I sadly am deciding to cut my loses with working with their practice. I refuse to pay another copay three business days after visiting because they didn't ask the right questions when I was last in. I felt the PA I had was kind but other staff was not and only talked in medical terms which left me confused and hard to follow conversation/questions. My PA seemed like he did care but I am left feeling like they want my money more than finding a solution to help me.

He will give samples whenever possible and will answer as many questions about your treatment and condition as you have. He has a very curt and direct approach but when he becomes your regular dermatologist you will see how much he cares about finding a cure for your ailment. I do recommend him. 4 stars (no 5) due to the office staff occasionally being on the standoffish side. Most of the time they are nice but if there are questions it's best to direct them to Dr. Kolton. The nurse is nice and calls back whenever needed.

I went to Vein and Laser yesterday for the first time, for a tattoo removal consultation. After the…read moreprocedure was thoroughly explained to me by the nurse (Bea), I decided to go ahead with the laser treatment on my arm and leg. Bea did such a wonderful job of making me feel more at ease, as I was fairly nervous. She explained the numbing process and constantly checked in with me to make sure I was doing okay throughout, which gave me a sense of comfort. She did not rush the procedure at all. I am prone to anxiety, and Bea's kindness and professionalism helped me get through it. Also, the laser portion of the treatment was truly painless! Upon completion of the procedure, I was sent home with a packet of after-care instructions, ice packs, and all the supplies needed to bandage up & care for the areas that were lasered while they heal. I am confident that I have finally found the right place to remove my tattoos once and for all, which is such a relief. There are several tattoo removal clinics out there, but based on my prior experiences and comparison to my great appointment at Vein and Laser, I'm not certain of their effectiveness or legitimacy. I highly recommend this office, as your care will come from a medical doctor and RN. Yes, it is a bit of an expense (yet not outrageous!) but worth it for the high-quality laser equipment and the extra care received!
