And I may go in there and just buy a bunch of other stuff! I had to call Thule's 800 number after multiple attempts to unlock my bike rack with no real assistance from the place I purchased it. The customer service representative on the phone with Thule gave me RRT's address and phone number. I called and Emily was doing her "bookwork" but she walked up front and handed the "master keys" to her sales help in the store. They seemed to be expecting me when I arrived and Dalton walked out to my car with me. As the customer service representative on the phone had told me, there is a ring of 100 keys and Dalton tried every one of the them. Luckily, we found it after almost 70 different keys but I was treated so well. They didn't have to help me, I didn't buy the Thule Bike Rack from them. But this will be the first place I go in the future! According to Dalton, they offer FREE installation! It's a nice store in Old Milford and it's apparently been there since 2010. I have been biking the trail for years and I promised Emily, no more Thule from anyone but Roads, Rivers and Trails! They ROCK!!!!!!!! They also have a lot of very attractive clothing and equipment. I placed the items back in the box and called the store and spoke with "Chuck" whom, apparently is the owner. I explained the situation and asked for a "returned item" stamp and was advised that his store doesn't pay for postage and it was my responsibility. Also, he stated that, even though I explained about the obvious signs that the product had been previously used, he would still charge me a restocking fee. Between postage and restocking fee, I lost around $35 on this purchase. Shame on you Chuck. NEVER AGAIN will I purchase anything from this company. BUYER BEWARE!!

I'm currently preparing for a trip in late August so new hiking shoes and some specific pants were needed. I checked online and found the shoes I needed. I also knew they had a variety of pants to choose from so I figured I'd just browse while there. Since I need to try on at least one of those things, I decided to take a quest to Quest after work. As soon as I arrived at the shoe section, one of the workers asked me if I was looking for anything... I told her the name of the shoe and if they had a certain size. Boom! Got them. Tried them on. Done. It was the same with the pants. I've been updating a portion of my gear for this trip but I went ahead and decided to browse the store. While browsing the rest of the store, every section had an employee that asked if I was looking for anything. Super nice staff! I love that this store has a downstairs, upstairs, and middle floor. I do wish it was labeled a bit better. There are obvious sections but then there are other things just hanging out. It kind of encourages you to browse the store every time if you're looking for something specific. I guess that goes with the name... Quest. I'm only subtracting one star because of the prices. Some things I've found are cheaper in store than online while other things are more expensive than online. For that reason, Quest isn't the first thing that pops into my mind when I need new gear. Ultimately, I'm glad we have a shop like this in Louisville. It's handy to have if you need something specific for a trip and can't find the perfect item online.

Gear Up sells standard camping supplies (sleeping bags, backpacks, portable stoves, lanterns), survival gear (knives, rappelling gear), and emergency supplies (food rations, water purification). All of the goods I browsed look very high-quality (and pretty expensive), so they are marketed more to the serious backcountry campers than the RV and state park campers. Gear Up also sells a number of survivalist books, many of which are about self-defense. After skimming through a few volumes, I realized the target audience is a bit paranoid and a bit practical--folks who want to know how to kill someone with their bare hands (theoretically, I hope).
