They really have a good selection of stuff that crosses across several price points. I'm not sure of the quality of all the merchandise they have, but I've purchased stuff from them in the past when I needed something in a hurry and it has worked exceptionally well. The staff at this location were friendly and greeted me when I entered the store. They also asked if they could help me find anything. All in all a good place to shop for tools and things of the sorts. They do have a membership that you can join (does have a cost associated), but if you shop here enough it will pay for itself

They always seem annoyed by questions or even just me being there (maybe their grumpiness is part of their charm??) but the poor customer service has been on another level. I bought a plant in the spring that was mislabeled and when it bloomed, it was the wrong plant and was actually invasive. I called to let the shop know and they didn't offer a refund or replacement, even though I had to tear it out and destroy it. (We will see this spring if I was able to remove it all or if I have a difficult problem on my hands now.) I decided to try them again and just stopped in for a hostess gift and bought something from the discounted table and the man behind the counter made it so uncomfortable when I corrected them after being charged full price. They also offered to add a bow and tacked on a $5 charge, which seems excessive especially given the lack of upfront notice on the price. I really want to support local small businesses but I genuinely don't understand how they expect customers to want to keep coming back when they present themselves in such a manner.

But when I needed some hardware and had a meeting in Homewood, this was a suggestion by my wife. Most of the local places like this have been in their locations for years and are dated... which is part of the charm. This one however is either in a newer building or has been updated. But not knowing the history, I can't say for sure. The people inside were very helpful. Which was nice since I would have never found anything that I needed without Lewis and Clark. They mostly had what I needed. But I did notice some of the hardware drawers I looked in were bare. Luckily they had the quantity of the size toggle bolt I thought I needed (I ended up being wrong). All in all a pretty good experience.

We ordered the zoysia from Simply Sod and it came with an infestation of Asian Garden Beetles that have devastated the zoysia as well as our crops. I had never even heard of these before and they are nocturnal so it took some time to figure it out after morning after morning coming out to see devastated crops and flowers. The customer service rep I spoke with was smug and nasty. Unwilling to help or even empathize. I would NEVER purchase from this company unless you want your garden devastated.

I can see women in high corporate positions wearing to work or attending an important meeting. Immediately upon entering, I was greeted by the store owner's large black pug named Mr. Pickles. One of the cutest dogs I've ever seen! It was hard for me to focus on shopping after playing with him. The store owner even told me that little boys come to her store after school just to see Mr. Pickles.
