Wellbeing Medicine for Animals - Otis feeling fantastic after his acupuncture treatment!

    Wellbeing Medicine for Animals

The establishment is very unprofessional and the doctor is classless and insults customers. She…read moresays one thing and her staff says another. The first appointment for a check up took an unexpected 3 hours and $300. I was willing to look over that. But then I realized I was charged for a supplement that was supposed to be mailed to me, yet it never was. I contacted the office for a refund. I've yet to receive that money back...my appointment was well over a month ago. I also learned I was supposed to receive a folder with more info on diet and holistic care at our first visit. I didn't receive that. I was told they would mail it to me. I still have yet to receive that as well. I asked for an estimate on the acupuncture treatment mentioned for my cat, I still haven't received that. Communication at this office is a huge problem. I thought it was a fluke, but once I finally got a hold of someone via email, she proceeded to tell me most people are used to corporate clinics and don't understand how their independent practice works. They should not assume they know what a customer is accustomed to and blame their lack of customer service and communication on that. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this practice.

DO NOT GO HERE I…read morehave NEVER been to such an unethical, disorganized, rushed healthcare facility - whether it be for animals or humans. I went here with my father, who has a 9 year old German Shepherd that was having increasing difficulty walking. Her hind end was becoming extremely weak, and it looked as if she was becoming paralyzed. We went to one vet who diagnosed her with arthritis. I work in healthcare and observed her symptoms as more neurological, not arthritic. I talked to my dad about this, and he unfortunately found this Well being vet. Every single time we went (we went for around 6 weeks) we waited at least an hour. They did NO DIAGNOSTICS WHATSOEVER. When asked about this later, they said she had arthritis. During our FIRST VISIT (which cost over $600) we were thrown into a regimen of acupuncture, pizotherapy, thermal imaging, and given a box of Chinese herbal medicine (for humans) with zero explanation as to what they were (the label was in Chinese). The dog had horrific diarrhea immediately after taking these herbs (which we stopped) but of course when asked about the herbs causing her diarrhea, Beau said that could absolutely not be the case. The dog got worse, not better throughout these treatments, and they did nothing to change their approach. They did not question their methods, instead they said the dog probably needed to change her diet (she has been eating the same thing for 6 years). Eventually we stopped going to well being vet, took her to yet another vet who did an X-ray and saw "something" on her spine. Interestingly, the impression of the X-ray said NO ARTHRITIC CHANGES. So for what exactly did my dad give well being medicine for animals $1500?!? We took her to a canine neurologist in another state to get an MRI, lo and behold, the dog had a cancerous mass on her spine that was compressing her spinal cord. She has had surgery and is doing great. The thing that I find so disturbing is the fact that if this well being vet had done diagnostics before collecting $1500 from us for treatments, the dog would have suffered less and would have been treated sooner. It is not safe to assume acupuncture etc will work for every condition, and it is not safe to prescribe a treatment for AN UNKNOWN CONDITION. Even MORE disturbing was the fact that my father emailed Beau asking for a partial refund. He was met with the most rude, unprofessional correspondence I have ever witnessed. Beau chastised my father for not bringing previous medical records - it is BEAU'S JOB to contact the previous vet and get the records. He actually called my father a misogynist, and accused him of asking for the money back because the doctor is a woman. I have worked in healthcare for 15 years and have never seen a provider/technician etc speak to a patient's family like this. I was appalled, and I highly suggest everyone stay FAR AWAY FROM WELL BEING MEDICINE FOR ANIMALS "Elijah" is actually "Beau," who is the husband of the doctor. He is the one writing these insanely long responses on Yelp (which is crazy considering you WILL wait OVER AN HOUR if you go here. Apparently you're going to wait so long because Beau is writing rage responses on yelp and google reviews) There were a ton of negative google reviews but after I wrote my review, magically, this vet is no longer searchable via google and has zero google reviews anymore. Attached are pictures of Beau's horrifically rude email to my father.

Had a great experience with Seth at Ed's Pet World last Wednesday! I see several reviews that seem…read moreto be inconsistent, and I would like to address those reviews. First of all- the smell. Do you realize that this IS a pet store? It's GOING to smell. If it didn't smell at all, I would be concerned. Secondly--the heat. YES it's hot in there. It's hot in there for the animals purpose. If you are going in there, surely you have knowledge of reptiles and some fish. They require warmth. With as many heat lamps as these folks have, of course it's going to be fairly warm. Suck it up. Thirdly, the care of the animals. I read several talking about "subpar care" and "horrible living conditions." I would like to address this specifically-- A LOT of the animals in there are SURRENDERED in those conditions TO THE STORE. Imagine finding a rescued animal in bad shape, and you go and give it to them. It's not going to magically revive it's health and feel better. GIVE THEM A BREAK. Most of these reviews seem like they are from people who actually don't know a thing about rescue, surrender, or animals in general. Granted, there are a few things that need to change. Maybe it could be a tad cleaner, but I also try to give them grace that they are indeed trying to keep hundreds of animals alive. Seth was AWESOME. He was so genuinely kind, sweet and friendly. My son asked him several questions and the patience he showed my very inquisitive 8 year old was honestly so sweet and kind. Of course, I'll be back.

BLAME IT ON THE ALCOHOL!! Too funny , but yeah. After brunch, my sorority sisters and I decided…read moreto come here. I won't say who's idea it was! I might have been ME..... This store is horrible to say the least. It reeks of urine the second you walk through the doors! There weren't many pets from what I could tell. A few here and there. The fish tanks were filthy and the store as a whole! Many random objects. A giant Spider-Man was in the middle of the floor. So , so random. There also were some novelty, collectible type things present. Perhaps, they are transitioning away from being a pet store. I just didn't understand the overall theme of the store. Definitely unique. We did meet a cute parrot that had lots of personality! I think it's safe to say , we won't be back!
