I had a frustrating experience at Target. I found a blanket that was clearly marked at a certain price on the shelf, so I brought it up to the register expecting to pay that amount, even had a picture showing them the tag and they checked and saw the same thing. At first, the cashier told me they would honor the price, which I appreciated. But then, after checking with someone else, they came back and said they wouldn't give it to me for that price after all even though i stood there for about 10 minutes while they were trying to figure it out. It was confusing and disappointing to be told one thing and then have it taken back. If an item is marked incorrectly, I understand mistakes happen, but the situation should be handled consistently and fairly, especially after already telling a customer they'll honor it. This experience left me feeling misled and frustrated. read more

Was in the area so I stopped in just to browse their health and beauty section. I didn't see exactly what I was hunting. I met a young lady that worked at another target location. She suggested that I try a different location for more of a variety. That being said , I didn't really look around as much. I grabbed some raisinets and some box wine that were right up front . Self checkout is pretty much what's available. I checked myself out and this trip to Target was over. read more

I love this Target for its size and friendly employees. This location features a Starbucks and an Ulta section. Their book selection is a thing of beauty. They had a surprising amount of good deals on food this time around. I was able to stock up on quite a bit. read more

This is a great Target. I have never had a bad experience here. I find clothes, food, and all kinds of beauty products here. It's very spacious too. I will say they are currently remodeling so they have portable refrigerators and freezers in the meantime. I hope they renovation makes it an even better place to shop! read more

If you're not going to give me an employee discount for checking myself out, you should probably staff some people at your registers. My wife and I have both noticed that they routinely have no other option than self checkout available. Stuff doesn't scan properly and I need to wait for their self check-out assistant to free up from the completely full area of people checking themselves out. I like the convenience of their grocery store, but I'll just go to Publix from now on. This is too frequent of an issue. read more

The lines are ridiculous--30 people waiting, and only one register open. On top of that, the employees don't talk to you. The guy checking me out didn't say a single word to me or any of us in line. When he had to call for help scanning my ID, he didn't explain what was going on, just turned his back and started eating pretzels while waiting. They don't hire nobody and then have no one on registers. The employees they do hire are bad at their job Target's also overpriced, and this location's grocery section is super limited. Their advertising pretends to be environmentally friendly, but it's just greenwashing. It's impossible to find research on their contributions to global warming because they bury it with vague public statements and promises to be neutral by 2030. They're a major part of the fast fashion problem and were one of the top maritime polluters in 2021, right up there with Amazon and Walmart, because of all the overseas goods they import. They lay out their store in a predatory way so you will buy single use items that keep you coming back. Have you noticed the makeup and self care items are now at the entrance to the store? You don't need any of that junk! You don't need the trendy hair accessories or skin care that doesn't do anything for your skin. Many of the style items they sell will be out of fashion within a few months. Don't waste money on things you don't need here. It's bad for our planet and it contributes to ridiculous pressure for consumers to spend money on every little micro trend that comes to mainstream America. Target is one of the WORST stores about this issue. Save money, time, and stress by skipping it. read more

Used to shop here often till they started pushing their politics on their shoppers. Goods were neatly arranged but overpriced! Most of their children's clothes are unisex as are their huge posters of child models, which is a huge turn off. Let girls enjoy being girls and boys be boys until they are old enough to choose. Studies prove pushing agendas is not a healthy thing for children. By the way, the store was 90% empty, the one checkout cashier had no one in line, and Target missed their sales goal this last quarter. I feel sorry for their shareholders as CEO announced he will double down on his political agenda. We will continue to shop elsewhere. read more

Target never lets me down however there are two things that let me down here. The first being the fact that this target had not been remodeled. The second is that the bakery doesn't offer artisan farms French toast bakery loaf bread. I've only found it at one other place and that's in Minnesota where target headquarters are. Target is the typical "high end Walmart". However s super target offers you a full selection of groceries including a full deli, bakery, starbucks, frozen meat department and butcher shop. I typically go to the Target at the Grove, however I was in the area and needed a few things. As others have indicated not a problem finding parking, they have an enormous parking lot. The inside is similar in layout to the one at the Grove. Compared to the Target I am used to this one seems to have a bigger selection of most items. Electronics section jumps out to me immediately. Much larger selection of all forms of electronics gear, movies, etc. This location is very clean. Isles are plenty wide so you don't feel overly crowded trying to pass somebody else with a cart. My go to Target location you get to participate in a little Shopping cart demolition derby when you pass side by side on an aisle. Solid location and will return if I'm in the area and need something. read more

Target 280 is closer to me & the store I typically frequent. Not anymore! 2 frustrating incidents approximately 2 weeks apart. 1st one - ordered something online w/a visa gift car. Went to return it & a young brunette girl, who was quite pleasant, assisted me. Since I forgot to take the giftcard w/me, she stated that she could only credit me a Target giftcard (NO thank you)! No refund allowed. I went home (approximately 20 min drive), got the visa giftcard & went back. A different girl assisted me & when I tried to give her the Visa giftcard, she stated she didn't need it... information was still in the system. Wow! (2) Made a store purchase w/a total of about $140. Paid $100 in cash & $40 balance went on a personal card. Went to return an item ($47) & was refused a cash refund even though I paid the bulk of the balance w/cash. An extremely rude young guy named Nicholas assisted me. I asked for a manager, & Nicholas said, "Well he won't know how to do it either." I'm done with Target for good! read more

Honestly, what can I say? This is a great Target. I shop here for my groceries all the time because they always carry good vegetables and fruit, which I cannot say for every other grocery store in Bham. I always find cute home decor too and some good gym clothes. I actually recommend this place as I've never had an issue with pickup or customer service at all. Besides Trader Joe's I'm not sure I would shop anywhere else due to how convenient this place is. read more

Everything was alright until we were leaving. We were walking and talking throughout the store. We were just leaving, but as I was tying my shoe an employee racially targeted (no pun intended) us. She accused us of throwing balls across the aisles and when we tried to defend ourselves she threaten us with police intervention. We felt threaten and she didn't even return my friend's "Have a good night". If I could give a 0 I would. The one star is for the nice employee who took the picture for. Unfortunately for this Target, I am left comparing to other Targets in the city. In particular compared to the one at Brookwood. This one just doesn't quite stack up in convenience and selection. The one thing this one has over the other is parking ability. It is very easy to find a spot quickly and with no hassle. But this location is a little tougher to get to. For one, it is on the devil's highway... otherwise known as 280. Which probably also contributes to the cluster of getting in and out of this place. The service road for this shopping center must have been designed the day after the ALDOT annual party and heavily influenced by hangovers. The selection at this store is a small percentage of the other one too. The only thing that seems comparably the same is the grocery side. Going through the baby section here was laughable compared to the other location. But most things I check out at Target are smaller too. The greeting cards, electronics, and outdoor sections are much more limited here. The customer service is on par with other Targets. Overall I like Target more than most other box stores. Which is why it is hard giving this a three star compared to other Targets. If it were compared to say, another W-hopping box store, it would probably be a 4-5 star. But because other people love Target too, I don't think this will deter anyone from visiting. read more

This store has the nice, new lighter-weight buggies. Plenty of parking. Lots of cashiers, and they just put in a self checkout, if that's more of your thing. read more

When I die and, by some heavenly being's oversight, end up in heaven, I hope it's a lot like this Target. This Target is the size of five normal Targets, the sale racks (yes, I am sooo cheap that I prefer not to pay full price at Target) are ample and overstuffed, and there is a FULL SERVICE deli, bakery, and a Starbucks. Did I mention the GROCERY STORE?? I didn't? Well, there is one. And they've got everything you could need- even high end items, california and international wines, and organic produce. I could spend a whole day, no, a whole WEEK in this behemoth. I could peruse the aisles and nibble my way through all the deli has to offer and never get bored or hungry. And when I grew tired, I'd simply order up a venti americano (roomy!) and recharge while listening to music at the listening stations in the cd section. This Target does, indeed, have all you need if you happen to live in the Birmingham suburbs. Being a big city girl from birth, it's hard not to get excited about everything I need under one roof. In fact, this is one of my first stops when I get into town. The cheerful sales staff don't help deter me and the disneyland-sized parking lot means you never have a reason NOT to stop. Mass-production and convenience are my guilty pleasures and I am a bad, bad girl. Never fear: I'll be back in San Francisco soon enough, trekking through the rain for groceries at the local market and overpaying just like the rest of you suckers back home. read more

I am probably here three times a week, seeing as it's my local target and super close by. It's a good place to shop, and they usually have a surplus of stock, and the employees are fairly nice. The only problems I have are there are a select few employees that are VERY aggressive about enforcing the Red card. Look.. I get it. You're required to ask and inform, which is fine and I eat that and I will be polite and I understand. But continuing to push it and push it, and manipulate to try to get you to open it is excessive. And that's happened to me multiple times at this location. Also, they never seem to have more than two people at the registers which can get a little old. They have self checkout registers, but they are literally never open. Ever. Which would be a lot more convenient. read more

The target superstore lives up to the hype. The place is huge if you can't find what your looking for in here then it doesn't exist. They have a pretty decent grocery section but does lack in the fresh food department. They have a large range of clothing, electronics, home wares and everything else. Prices are good, store is clean and there's not usually to long of a check out line read more

So the staff is always super nice. They have cute stuff like all Targets do with the convenience of grabbing a cup of Starbucks while you shop. But this particular location is always out of things. Half the yogurt stock is usually expired (check those dates!) and there are never enough checkout lanes open. But I still love target. Just wish this location would check the dates on their groceries and be better about keeping items stocked. read more

Also I do recommend getting the Target card. It's 5% off every purchase. Comes directly out of your checking account. It's worth the trouble of signing up. I love Super Target. It means that I don't have to brave the 7th Circle (otherwise known as Wal-Mart) if I want to do some shopping and buy groceries. It is always clean and I believe their meat and produce are far superior to most grocery stores. I also like their Market Pantry brand. It's a bit cheaper and the quality is very good. Also, they offer a Red Card that acts as a debit card. Best part is 5% off all purchases. Yes, they might be a tad more expensive than Wal-Mart, but it's worth it to me because it's a much more pleasant experience. read more

Compared to other locations, this is one of the best Targets in the city. It's a Super Target so it has an expanded grocery section and plenty to offer otherwise. Parking is always very easy which I REALLY appreciate. I don't stop by this location all that often because it's on 280 but I stop in when I happen to go by the Planet Fitness on 280. Make sure to checkout their meat department for mark downs. Most of the time they'll have a cartwheel as well which really brings down the price of their organic meat! read more

I tried using my Starbucks app for the first time at this location. I let the Starbucks worker know and she was extremely rude and treated me like I was stupid when I was trying to figure out how to use it. She said "there's nothing on it" like it was a gift card or something, come to find out that you are supposed to load it (she didn't tell me that) and when I asked what to do she said "it means there's no money on it" and gave me rude eyes. There's not much difference between this target and the ones in green springs and trussivlle their electronics section is much smaller not many video games they have for sell. I did however like the selection of DVD's that they have I also noticed that target doesn't have many CDs to choose from like they used to and it's the same at other locations as well read more
