On today I arrived at Bin Depot in Bessemer, Al at 5:15 in the morning, knowing that the store opens at 0900 I placed my chair in position as the first person to arrive, others arrived soon there after. I sat in my car as others arrived and placed their chairs behind me. Time was approaching for the doors to open, I knew I had 5 to 10 minutes before 0900. Unknowingly to me the doors open 10 to 12 minutes prior to 0900, which was out of the norm since I had been shopping there, this placed me at a disadvantage on getting first dabs of anything. I asked the Black cashier why did they do this, she said because of the weather, well today was a nice day and last week was much colder and we waited in line or in our vehicles as usual. The Black cashier seemed a little messy to me, as she was frustrated a few weeks ago and told me that she was accused of letting customers leave the store without paying for their merchandise, which was of no concern of mine, seemed to be an administrative issue. Well, while I was in the store amongst other customers the manager/supervisor approached me and asked me to leave the store, I asked why and was by the Black cashier in the presence of the managers and customers that I called her out of her name and accused her allowing other customers to take items without payment. This was a false accusation against me. Upon arriving at home I called the manager to refute those allegations. The manager interjected that I did not called the Black cashier out of her name, but it was implied because of a pause or hesitation or an assumption, she explained that there are times when corporate allows them to open the doors prior to 0900, usually when someone from corporate is present. She stated why she approached me in the presence of other customers and asked me to leave. The conversation between the manager and I was cordial, but I was told not to come back to the store or the premises and that the information she received came from a 3rd party. Evidently she took their word, I feel this was unfair and bias. The employees may need to take customer service classes in order to better serve customers and keep an order on within management on regulated practices and running a business with many faucets. read more
