Wow. Just wow. For more than 10 years my wife and I had trouble with our antique door knobs on our front door. The set screwa were too short and you can imagine the issues with the knobs pulling off. I tried lots of solutions including loctite blue which helped the screwa stay in placew, which helped, but never addressed the issue that the sets screws were simply too short (but we would have to get in a time machine to the 1940s to complain to the manufacturer) * A national hardware store had test openings that showed the screws were sized "1/4 - 20" but they didn't have the actual screws and the guy that was helping me said no one did * The owner of a mom and pop hardware store told me that longer set screws did not exist at all and that I needed to look at an antique store. He wouldn't even check * Then I went to Little Hardware at a Friend's suggestion.. I walked in and the guy who helped me introduced himself and shook my hand. He measured the set screw I had as "1/4 - 20" just like you he big retailer. He then immediately found matching sets screws that were longer (see photo). I had to buy a hex tool to entire I could connect the 4 screws on both knobs. The entire purchase was $15 but I would have paid a lot more to get these knobs right. And now, for the first time since we bought our old house I feel confident in our old door knobs Thank you Little Hardware -- I'm a customer for life! read more

This family friendly hardware store has been around for ages, and their new location is much larger than the old one, and it's easy to see why they keep expanding! Staff is very helpful and friendly. They were able to point us in the direction of exactly what we needed, and contrary to some other reviews, the prices were similar to what you'd find at big box stores. I love great local hardware stores over going to big box stores. And a place like this is so much more convenient than having to go to one of those box stores. Granted, from my house, this is a fair amount further. But on this particular day, I was over in this neck of the woods and needed some washers. This store is cleaner than most and extremely well organized. It looks like they have a little bit of everything you could need. From what you expect in hardware and tools to home appliances and pet products. Very well rounded. You walk in and there are friendly faces willing to answer questions and point you in the right direction. Prices might be a little bit more. But if this actually were in my neighborhood, it would be my go-to. My reason for deducting a star? We went to get some rawhides for our dog. Because of personal preference because of national production guidelines, we only buy pet products from the US. The person who helped guaranteed that the ones they gave us were. But upon closer inspection, it turns out that they weren't. So an extra trip was needed just to return these. Other than that, everything is great! read more

I'm sure this place is fine if you're a kept Mt Brook wife with no job, for anyone else their operating hours are useless. Who the hell closes a store at 5:30? I can only imagine how overpriced the goods are to be able to afford rent with such restricted hours. Probably my fault for trying to do any sort of business in the tiny kingdom. This is as good as it gets for a hardware store. Best service anywhere that you definitely won't get at those chain stores. This is a real hardware store in the best sense of the word. For a lot of us, it is in walking distance and a great place to hang out on Saturday with the rest of the neighborhood. read more
