Let's call this one Home Depot for Farming supplies - it's not quite as big, not quite as well supplied, but it fills two of those few home improvement arenas that Home Depot doesn't: Farming and Hunting.
I didn't look too much at the Hunting parts because I was on a mission, but they have the basics and some good camo, some rifles/bows (I think), and a few misc outdoor supplies for it. For farming, they have a wide selection of basic stuff for Chickens, Horses, and Ducks in addition to a scattering of stuff for others.
But! We were in search of chickens! We'd looked at a number of places, and with just a backyard coop we wanted 4-6 chickens, all hens (city limits and all), and were hoping for good egg layers and some mix of breeds. We actually had a hard time finding a place to find a combination of all of those things.
A friend of ours happened to see chickens there, and shot us the tip, and we ran over right away!
They had six big cattle troughs set up as chick incubators, a different breed of bird in each one, and two of them were sexed pullets (so all hens). And they had a minimum of six birds in a single purchase (but you could mix and match). So, we got two White Leghorns - if you want eggs, you gotta - two of "Black Australops," and rolled the dice on one unsexed Rhode Island Red and Brown Leghorn. The first four were guaranteed to be hens, but the other two could have a rooster hidden in there. But if they do, we'll just give them to Heifer International :)
All in all a good experience, but we had trouble getting service, and the overall selection is middling at best. BUT! If you need some home farming supplies, particularly for chickens, this is still the best/only place we've been able to find that fills the need of a basic "Feed Store" nearby read more
