This is not just a review but a public service announcement!…read more DO NOT take your puppy for puppy training at this company. We had a very scary experience with them. In Jul 2024, I chose Serenity K9 for their 2 week puppy training program for our 4 month old puppy because of the positive reviews and also I thought it would be great that our sweet rescue puppy would be exposed to other animals. After 10 days, we received notification that our puppy had completed training and is ready to be picked up. When we picked him up on the 11th day, I was shocked to see him. He looked like one of those unhealthy dogs that has a fat body and skinny legs. He was 23 lbs 11 days prior and was 36 lbs when I weighed him at home that evening!!! He had clearly been overfed and under-exercised. He had gained more than half his body weight in 11 days!!! I was very concerned and texted her to ask her why. She said that they over feed them during training. I simply do not accept this reason. Even with overfeeding, if he had gotten enough exercise, he would never look like that. Was he allowed to graze his food all day long instead of having specific times of feeding? Was he excessively kept in his crate for long periods of time without getting enough exercise. I will never know but evidence of his negligence was very obvious and pointed towards this. Also he was fully crate trained before he left and loved sleeping in his crate at night at home. When he got home, he peed in it for the 1st few days and did not like going in the crate he use to love before. that was also a big clue that he must have been crated for long periods of time. I texted her about how disturbed I was to see him. I asked her what the daily schedule was for the puppy. She never answered that question . I did not hear from them the 1st few days of the training. She would reply back after a few days of continously texting her. We did receive some training videos with him in it towards the end. Through a raw food diet and lots of exercise, I was able to bring our sweet puppy back to a healthy weight after a month. Regarding the training, yes he was able to do the basic commands but at what cost? They are super secretive and even the arrival handoff procedure was very strange. I felt like a I was entering a prison compound, not a happy training dog camp. I should have listened to my red flags. Do not send your dog to this place, there are plenty of other great dog training places in town.

I guess they thought that I wouldn't see the wound. It was quite bloody by the time we got home. I would have taken it off sooner had it not been tied so tight. I had to take Ted to the vet this week for antibiotics because it wouldn't heal...Ted is about 10 yo and has cataracts. He loves to be groomed...He loves his bathes, blow drying, brushing and I have trimmed him up....I know this little Bichon would not have given them any trouble at all.....I have sent private messages and pics to Jeannine on the fb page, and I can see that she reads them, but will not respond to my messages. I have left my puppy with them twice over the past couple of months and at first I thought that they were doing a great job. But today when I went there it was quite obvious that their capabilities of caring for my fur baby was very ill equipped. They will not let me see inside so that I may judge the safety issues for myself. But when my baby got returned to me I could tell by the the stench on her that she had been wallowing in aged pee and the toys that I sent with her were returned filthy. Not to mention the fact that it was obvious that they did not follow my feeding instructions for her as the poor girl was famished when she got in the vehicle and was trying to frantically destroy a bag of food that I had just bought for her. And when I finally went to feed her she just started shaking as if she was afraid that she wouldn't get another morsel. Needless to say I won't be using these people in the future.
