Now fast forward to today, our economy is in the dumpster; browsing your website for a potential new horse only to be deterred as everything is priced between $15,000-$25,000 !!!! If I was wanting to spend that kind of money I would be going to multiple out of state World Champion/ Congress champion trainers and getting a horse that isn't a cow horse and is actually worth the money! Very disappointing to see what JCB and Hemphills have done to the horse market around here. Seems gone are the days of $2-$5,000 broke to ride with nice papers horses!

I was going to exchange some Cotter Pins, and also purchase a can of plow hydraulic fluid, a paint brush and can of penetrating oil. The cashier immediately got on the phone and called someone for a security check. Then he asked me my name, which I gave. And my Phone number, which I also gave to him. When he asked me for my date of birth I asked him why he needed all this information, and he stated he's running a security check on me. When I asked, "For what? Exchanging 4 packages of Cotter Pins?" Nathan then told me the penetrating oil had a chemical in it, and all the time there is a customer right behind me taking in everything that was being said, and I very uncomfortable and embarrassed giving out anymore personnel information in a public space. I told Nathan to keep the penetrating oil, I paid for remaining items and left the store very upset. I have called the company and spoke with Michelle in Customer Service, she was nice but not helpful . I have spent well over $3,500.00 in the past 4 months and will never return!

This location is chronically understaffed on weekends, when it is at its peak volume and over staffed on bizarre days like Mondays and Thursdays. The parking lot desperately needs lines painted, with no lines even indicating handicapped parking. Take the extra 15 minutes and drive to the Holden location. Holden is always staffed with friendly employees, clean and ready to serve you.

I needed a groomer for the summer months while staying in Rangeley and Country Mutt was recommended. We were greeted by Melissa who listened carefully to my requests. I could see my dogs were happy and the grooming details were perfect. The hour drive is easy and worth it. While waiting I witnessed many happy clients picking up their dogs and a great doggie daycare environment. The boarding kennel area featured large spaces and was spotless. Highly recommend!
