I am probably in the men's dress clothes and scents areas the most often. I do tag along with the bride a good bit as well. She probably likes it here more than me so I get to see all the lady stuff too. She is especially fond of the purse section I have noticed. Remember when the cashier took the groceries out of the basket for you and scanned them? Now you take your groceries out and put them on the counter because the baskets can't go behind there anymore. Well, I guess overnight Walmart took away checkout counters and replaced them with more self-checkout counters. I couldn't even find one employee checkout counter much less an employee behind the counter this past Friday night at 7:15pm. Here's what I could find though, four Walmart employees in the checkout area not paying attention because they were on their cellphones! Yes, these under twenty-somethings were all face deep in their phones oblivious to what's going on around them. When they looked up it was like they were lobotomized. I self-checkout with 4 items while I noticed my face on the screen for "security reasons." Pretty intrusive if you ask me. First I have to do it myself, someone else's job, and I don't even get an employee discount. Second, I'm being big-brothered by Walmart because they don't trust me. Third, as I'm walking out, a rude millennial says "Uh I need you to come back here." No sir or anything. I have to wait as she checks the receipt of someone who has a receipt the length of a toilet paper roll and a basket full of items. But does she open every bag? Does she even open one bag? No. She looks at the list for three seconds and says "ok". What?! I have to come back for this. So I open my wallet, pull out the receipt, give it to her, and she gives it right back. Here's an idea, check me out yourself at a register, scan all my items, and let me walk out, you know, how you used to do it. It's not self-checkout when I need an employee's help and permission to leave the store. Ridiculous. This is what the world is going to and we wonder why our children are idiots, void of any kind of work ethic, and lazy. Anyway, to hell with this store. Do it yourself checkout and you can't even tap your card to the machines. Awful. I will not be coming back here. Here I come Target!

First, my sister bought a gift card for me for my birthday and when I went to use it, I had $100 on it when I went to use it they said oh the person who she bought the gift card from like the girl who worked there or guy took her money and never scanned the card so that I couldn't use it and this was after I had shopped the whole store and got all my items stood in the line and was completely embarrassed because they typed in my gift card and they said there's no money on this. It says it's never been activated. It sucks so bad worst birthday present ever then for Christmas my mom got me a Plato's gift card the year before last got me $100 gift card. I went to use it at the park location and my mom bought it at the Collierville, location though, but I should be able to use it at any location and shop the whole store and got all my items and they don't have bags so I'm like logging this stuff around getting the line in in front of a bunch of people and they say oh yeah it says it's not valid again and I called the number on the back of the thing and they said do you have the receipt or any banking information that can prove it was yours so now I have to go through the entire process of trying to find my mom's bank account information so that I can prove I had $100 on there so that's $200 down the drain don't ever ever ever buy a gift card from here.
