This mall has seen better days as far as occupancy is concerned. It once had a very diverse selection of stores to choose from. Now days, not so much. Dillards is still here and it is still a good Dillards. You have no problems finding some help, getting what you need. It's probably the best Dill's around. I am glad it's still here because the side it's on is like 20% full at the most. It was bought recently and is trying really hard, but I don't know man. They are leasing to some strange tenants, like taekwondo and karate studios, and a (swear to god) Slime store. Like you make slime there. That is the whole thing. The old Macy's is now some scary furniture store. I think there are at least 4-9 squatters in that mug. Milano's is even gone now!!!! What???!!!! Why????? I'm seriously going to cry. Good choices for food and shopping. Always clean, during Christmas it's very well decorated. The restaurants like Firebirds or Stix is always a worth the stop eatery. read more

Over the years, I've enjoyed this outdoor mall. If anything, it's a fantastic place to get in some steps. It resembles my experience as a kid in my hometown's downtown retail area. Each shop had a unique atmosphere, and I was able to easily walk there from my house. If it was blowing and snowing, I wore boots and a parka. There was never any difficulty adapting to meteorological conditions by any of my town's citizens. Rain in the forecast meant carrying an umbrella. No problem. My favorite "anchor store" at Carriage Crossing has to be Dillard's. (I still mourn the losses of The Parisian and Swoozy's, which occurred several years ago. Oh well, ultimately, Memphis couldn't support Lord & Taylor, either.) Also, I've never felt unsafe or threatened here. Between the security patrols and the Collierville P.D., they put the kibosh on any nonsense. There are several decent restaurants to choose from within and around the mall, many of which I've happily patronized. read more

I dislike that this is an outdoor mall bc you have no protection from the heat in summer and in winter you freeze. Rain also sucks. Partial coverings like they have in the Southaven mall would've been nice. Also seems like there's not a lot of shops that interest me anymore. read more

Thanks Carriage Crossing Mall for being the host to the first annual Fido Fest. This was a great venue to have such an event there was plenty of space with activities, games, prizes and special treats for all dog lovers. There were food vendors and other rescue groups that brought actual dogs and held adoptions right there on site! Several different kind of contests held for example the owner/ pup look alike contest, best dressed. The band was singing and playing music. It was loads of fun. The vendors had plenty of treats and doggie related merchandise for sale. There were doggy daycare offers and we wine a free week. Dog bakeries with home made goodies. A special splash pool area for your pooch to cool off. We are ready for the next event. read more

Overall, the mall itself is great with the exception that there are not a lot of stores to choose from. My daughter and I have been coming to this mall as long as it has been opened, and we've never had any problems. On Wednesday, she used the restroom there across from Milano's Pizza. When we were on our way home, she realized that she left her journal in the restroom. I didn't want to turn around and go back; unless, I knew that it was there for sure. I told her to call the office to see if they could check. A man answered the phone, and she explained what happened, described the journal, and told him where it was. The man said that he would go and check. After about two minutes, the man returned to the phone and said that there was no journal. She said, "So you didn't see a pink journal in the last stall?" With tension in his voice, he said, "I looked in every stall, and there was no journal." By that time, I had already turned around. We got to the mall, and she went directly into the restroom in the last stall and found the journal. Needless to say, but the man lied about going to look for the journal, and he was very rude. I hope he is not involved in any leadership positions at the mall because he lacks good customer service as well as good character. He should've just communicated to my daughter if he didn't have time to do it or if he didn't want to do it. read more

We visited Carriage Crossing this afternoon from Bartlett, TN, while visiting my sister. At only a 30-ish minute drive, we were looking for some great shopping, and this mall did not disappoint. This is a really convenient outdoor mall, and has a very aesthetic landscape. The buildings have updated brick and neutral tones, and the walkways are clean and flow well. There is a ton of parking, along with large walkways in both the parking lots and along each storefront. While there are a lot of vacant storefronts in need of unique businesses, all of the basics for a good shopping are here; Soma, Dillards, Barnes and Noble, American Eagle, and H&M, just to name a few. There are also surprisingly a lot of restaurants for such a small area. Although some of the walkways are shady and breezy, making for a chilly walk on days the weather drops below 70°, there is a lot of sunlight while walking around the complex. Not only is it a great place to shop, it's also a great place to grab a friend and/or your dog and take a nice stroll. We will definitely be back when we visit again, and we're looking forward to see what stores they bring to the Crossing. read more

The Avenue is a great outdoor, open air mall located in the suburbs of Collierville, TN. This is more of a shopping destination than other area malls that are more functional than fun! You can definitely spend a day at Carriage Crossing or go here for a specific purpose like a particular store or restaurant. Since it's open are you can either park in a central location or right in front of your store of choice. It's a great atmosphere with nice music, landscaping and sculptures, it's an enjoyable experience even for my husband (well maybe not enjoyable for him, more like tolerable!) I especially love to go here during the holidays- it's an event and so much fun. There is also a lot of activities that you don't find at other area malls such as Fridays at the Avenues a family friendly series that features various complimentary movies and live entertainment. This Friday they showed the movie Annie. The large department stores are Macy's and Dillard's and a Bed, Bath and Beyond. There are more full service restaurants here than in any other mall and include: Bonefish Grill, Stix, Red Robin, Firebirds and Cheeburger Cheeburger. They are also quick service restaurants including The Great American Cookie, Milano's Pizza and the Pretzle Maker. Other stores include your standards like Ann Taylor, Abercrombie, Gap etc- but it's nice that you can park right by them and run in. Specialty stores include I.O. Metro, Something Special Home Store, Francesa's, Glitz and Glam and Gap Body (the only one in the area). Why go here vs other area malls? It's a shopping experience and destination and it's fun and safe to shop here. You go here for the experience and the ease of getting in and out of your favorite stores. read more

The Carriage Crossing experience is one of relaxation and bliss. This is one of the few - make that one of the only - malls left in the Memphis area that isn't plagued by waves of rowdy teens and constant crime sprees, or that has been left collect tumbleweeds. I'm saying all of that to say, don't bother going to the other malls in the area unless you want to be surrounded by noisy miscreants. There's always at least two cop cars on the parking lot, even if they're just sitting talking to each other. This mall is made for a nice serene stroll on a spring day. If you hate the outdoors, then you just discovered you don't like outdoor malls! I love the small boutiques around like Therapy Boutique, which carries loads of bohemian inspired fare, don't visit hem if you have a weakness for headbands and pale pink. Of course, they have the all important mall mainstays such as Sephora and Victoria's Secret. Something Special Home and I.O. Metro have great things for the home and the former just moved into a larger space. They have three anchors, right now: Barnes & Noble, Dillard's, and Macy's. And, have you seen the H&M that's being built? They closed the Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister, and some other store that I don't really remember to replace them with a mega H&M! Sorry prepster teens and twenty-something's still trying to hold on to long gone nostalgia, you'll have to purchase your button downs and cut-off jean shorts elsewhere. read more

Meh. This mall is huge but once you actually get inside of the outdoor space the number and quality of shops is quite small. Each store looks huge from the outside but once inside the space and merchandise is lacking. I was hoping for some 'day after Christmas' sales and I was really disappointed. I've been to this mall twice while visiting family in Memphis and while Wolfchase Mall is more of a hassle it has much more going for it. read more

I started to shun away from stuffy indoor malls a few years ago. As outdoor mall goes, Town Square Las Vegas might house more trendy brands, but The Avenue in Collierville offers more open air and better landscape. It's really a well-maintained family friendly place. We sometimes just come here for an easy stroll, when hiking in the woods feels like a daunting task. Store line-up is ok, with your usual suspects such as Gap, Banana Republic, Ann Taylor, Gymboree, Clarks, anchored by Macy's and Dillard's. You will find what you need but probably nothing real special. Late last year a frozen yogurt place opened up and I am glad to see it survived the colder months. I will miss this part of suburbia and probably will have to make the 20-mile drive to shop here once every other month after moving into the city. Yeah, because you are worth it. P.S. There is a Starbucks inside the Barnes&Noble, where you can drop off your significant other as he becomes irrelevant to your shopping excursion. read more

The Avenue is an open mall area with a ton of stores. There's a lot of store choices for men, women and children. There really is a great selection. The landscaping is very well done and it's a great place to go around just to walk. There is plenty of space for kids to run around and they always have something going on. In the fall they have things on Friday evenings. My son really enjoyed dancing to music in the center. Now they have train rides for kids. There is plenty of parking. With a few restaurants included you can spend quite some time at The Avenue shopping. It's a nice alternative to Wolfchase Galleria. read more

I love this mall. I'm sad it doesn't have a Disney store like Wolfchase, but it still has quite a few good stores and restaurants in it. It's also fun to walk around at on a nice day since it's an outside mall. There's also a hotel connected to it that I believe my aunt has stayed at and enjoyed. They have cool events here and decorate it for the seasons. It's an aesthetically pleasing place and they play good music that you can listen to while walking around. read more

I love the outdoor mall concept. Not different from an outlet concept but less crowded. It was one of my favorite shopping spots while in Memphis. I first experienced it in the late summer and it was beautiful to stroll each store and feel the breeze. There are good restaurants there and the shopping is typical mall shoppes but the outside factor just bumps it up a notch for me. But then on a rainy day...oh well it matters not. (I would probably add an extra 1/2 star to this review) The Avenue Carriage Crossing is a nice, open mall area, but a bit unorganized. The area is pleasant, well maintained and easy to walk around, but the builders or SOMEONE seemed to have neglected to post more maps, either large board-wise or flyers that people could take with them to help navigate around the area. Even their website makes it rather difficult. I like a map with ALL of the stores listed on the layout, meaning, I see a store on the map and I can tell what store is next to it. That's just me though. It seems that they have upped the number of restaurants from the last reviewer's experience and I have yet to eat at any of them. They seem a bit expensive and I am not sure if it would cost effective for a large family, perhaps for a party or a date. The website listed above also touts the different specials and promotions stores are having and you can even print out coupons from there, which is a plus. Mostly I go there for the World Market and Linens N' Things, which takes Bed Bath and Beyond coupons, KEY as I save those things like mad as they are in the paper and mail all the time. An oasis in Collierville. Almost every Fri we walk around to window shop grab frozen yogurt check the live music or watch the outdoor movie. Fun to browse the kids area in Barnes and Noble and see the cute bronze kids statues. I like the decor at I O Metro and this Dillard's is especially nice. Lots of food choices and it's fun to people watch on the weekends. Security is there and the stores are clean with plenty of parking. Look for deals from CC business office such as $20 gift cards to Macys if you spend $50 at a restaurant there yayyyy Also they have the Komen race here in Oct. read more

This was my first time coming here and I'm so bummed I didn't know about this awesome mall until now! It is a pretty big outdoor mall located in the suburbs of Collierville. There is so much space to walk around. The layout is very well thought of, so it actually feels relaxing walking around in there. They have everything from Dillards, Bath and Body works, Macy's, Barnes and Noble, and now H&M!! You can definitely make a day out of coming here with some friends. Tons of places to eat too. I am a big fan of open air malls when the weather is nice. My wife and I enjoy strolling on the walkways and just browsing so at this mall we can do that without feeling stuck in the middle of a crowd. There are a wide variety of department stores to get what you need and just enough restaurants to choose from to fill the void when you get hungry. If there is one downfall it is the fact that they play awful music. read more

This mall is outdoors, which worked out pretty well on our visit. It had a couple anchor stores like Dilliards and Bed Bath & Beyond. It was very nice and clean. We were here on a weekday morning, so there was plenty of parking and no crowds. The eating options are quite minimal, but no real complaints there. I loved the makeup store, and the sales at Dilliards were amazing! I could never have that much luck at my local mall here in Atlanta- nothing's ever left! I'd come back if I were visiting Memphis again. read more

This is a really good addition to Collierville. The mall is set up like an outlet mall but the prices aren't so. There is a large variety of stores that you can drive directly in front of and hop in and out in a second. Bad side is if you want to do a lot of shopping, you'll have to go outdoors a lot to store hop but it's a really nice promenade area so not a big problem. Needs a centralized food court !! read more

I was sent to the Carriage Crossing location by Dillard's at Wolfchase to find some dishes that Wolfchase didn't have but their Carriage Crossing location did. I did find what I wanted and the staff was great. I was surprised b/c at Dillard's Wolfchase I along with about 3-4 other people were all left standing at two registers in the housewares dept with absolutely nobody paying any attention to people trying to pay for merchandise. I finally left the register and went to customer service and asked them to get someone to the registers-which they did finally. They had no paper-bubble wrap or boxes to wrap the fragile items either, Think I will stick with Dillard's Carriage Crossing or Oak Court locations. read more

I like the open air concept of Carriage Crossing. This mall has many anchor stores, Dillards, Macys, Barnes and Noble. The restaurants are different and I enjoy the back atmosphere they create. I go to this mall often so my opinion might be biased to an indoor mall like Wolfchase Galleria. I have not had any problems so far regarding rudeness from store employees. This is an outdoor mall, which is fun (as long as the weather is good). It has a good variety of stores and restaurants. My kids love to look at the little bronze statues of kids that are scattered about. BUT the parking areas are in the middle of everything, which makes it feel more like a strip mall than a classy outdoor mall, and makes walking around it less safe than it would be if parking were on the perimeter. read more

Say good-bye to the age of the mall. Say hello to the era of open air shopping plazas. Considering the sprawling population of the Metro Memphis area to the east and south, the demolition of the Mall of Memphis, and the decline of the Hickory Ridge Mall, building a new shopping center in the 'burbs seems like a profitable business venture. Enter The Avenue Carriage Crossing in Collierville. Instead of building several unorganized strip malls, why not model the creation of this strip mall after a small town with parking spaces between the "blocks?" Draw people in with stores that include Dillard's, Parisian, Abercrombie & Fitch, American Eagle Outfitters, Ann Taylor, Ann Taylor Loft, Banana Republic, Barnes & Noble, Bath & Body Works, Buckle, Hollister, etc. While I'm not a big fan of urban sprawl, I will say that this is a much better idea since they have at least organized the sprawl. This concept can be observed in "Downtown" Pleasant Hill, CA and similarly Emeryville CA's Bay Street. What The Avenue at Carriage Crossing IS missing is the food selection. I went here the day after Christmas and only ONE eatery was opened serving lunch was open. All the other places were either not opened for lunch or still under construction. Poor planning on the design! With TN state sales tax being 9.25%, I probably won't be doing much shopping here. read more

I love collierville mall! Over it's short life span, Collierville mall has gone through three name changes: The Avenue Carriage Crossing, The Avenue Collierville, and (currently) Carriage Crossing. This is a very nice, outdoor mall. It is great because it is normally not very crowded and you can pull right up to the store you want to go to! It is also quite organized, as for the most part all of the typically teenager and young adult stores are in one wing, and the same is for the kid stores. The Macy's here was formally a short-lived Parisian because they went out of business, so it is not very large and lacks a few departments. However, it is very nice and I know where everything is! They recently redid their store some, including the women's shoe department for the worse, but they added a nice little home section on the second level. The Dillard's here is a newer design with cool automatic doors. Those are the only two department stores. The Bed, Bath, and Beyond here opened after Linens-N-Things closed, and it is very nice! The Barnes and Noble is huge and extremely nice. Two favorites, though not the largest of locations, are Yankee Candle and Bath and Body Works! I love Great American Cookie here as well! The Abercrombie here is very nice, and the Hollister does not blast music and does not smell too bad, and you can actually see inside! I love the Express here. Recently this mall added a Sephora which is good. It has several restuarants but there are all pretty expensive. A nice hotel is here as well! Some have left, including Starbucks where the yogurt place is now, Cheeburger Cheeeburger, and a New Orleans-style restaurant. That all being said, there are several empty store fronts and room for expansion, as noted on mall plans. This mall desperately needs a large Forever 21. A Cheesecake Factory would be nice as well, as some new Memphis-area stores, but there are unlikely due to the mall's location. Anyways, I love this mall! They even have family movie nights! Pretty during Christmas as well, especially with the large Christmas ornaments in the middle that look like the ones in New York. Oh, and they play great music here too! read more
