My older dog is super sick, probably crossing the rainbow bridge to heaven soon.... My bigger yung dog is depressed and not eating either. I was worried something was up with the food. But always check here first to see if they may have it, if they don't you may walk away with a friendship. Thank you so much for caring and being an amazing small business! Ps. The service is incredible they walk the food to your car and load, where else can you get that! Also great value on dog food because you get a free bag after you have so many purchases!

We purchased the local bird guide, and it's great. They have the usual suspects for birding, like Sibley as well. But also, a wider variety of literature than you might first expect, with Obi Kaufmann's works, books on natural history, and at least one scifi graphic novel. It's not all books though, there's stuff for kids too, like activities and games. Gifts like locally made skincare products and some interesting homegoods, and lots of shirts. Easy way to support local science communication. Definitely check it out.

I have 6 dogs plus the occasional fosters so it's great to be able to bring them here for $9.99 each. I appreciate that they offer shampoo, conditioner, brushes, and towels. My only issue is the dryers. For about a year, one didn't work at all and the other only has really cold air. It's a hit or miss on if they have nail trimmers. Maybe I've gotten lucky, but I haven't encountered other folks taking a really long time like other reviews are saying. I don't believe a time limit is necessary. Some pups are easier than others. For example, my Husky is gonna take a lot longer to dry than my MinPin. I think folks are just unreasonable and impatient. I've had 8 folks ahead of me and still been able to wash my dogs within an hour which I think is reasonable. The staff has always been incredibly friendly, especially with my reactive foster dog. My husband was walking with our dog through the store and an employee who also trains dogs approached us with tips. Super helpful and made us feel better. The pup is reactive and the only way he'll learn is by going out into the world to be desensitized. We've encountered some horribly folks at other stores, but here, everyone was caring and helpful. No judgement!

Please do not support this business…read more I understand some people consider this the only convenient place in town to buy hay, but there are other places to source it. I previously purchased dog and cat food here for our rescue work, but I stopped because of serious concerns about the animals' care. I have personally visited the property and seen the conditions the cats were living in. What I saw was horrible. Our rescue offered to help spay and neuter the cats, including covering surgery and vaccinations, but the owner refused. She continues seeking free cats through Facebook groups to use for rodent control. A friend recently paid to get two kittens out of there. My friend reported that they were confined to a tiny, filthy cage with no food or water when picked up. The kittens were dirty and smelled badly. Thankfully, they were rescued. We also rescued an injured kitten from this property and obtained the medical care he needed. The attached photos show that kitten. The owner has denied that he was hers, but we rescued him from her property. She claims people steal her cats when they go missing. I have personally seen cats run over on Highway 247 directly in front of her store. Without safe shelter, cats are also exposed to predators and dangerous conditions while trying to find protection. From what I observed, she does not provide adequate shelter for them. Locals have reported concerns about the care of animals on her property, including horses and goats. Animal control has visited the property. Others have reported finding cats crushed in hay stacks after seeking shelter between the bales. I did not personally witness those incidents, but the reports are deeply concerning. In my opinion, what I witnessed amounts to animal neglect, and it is cruel. Using cats for rodent control does not excuse failing to meet their basic needs. Please do not support this business or provide cats or kittens to this owner. There are other sources for hay and animal supplies, and I will be spending my money elsewhere. If you visit this place, adopt a cat, the owner cares about money and will sell cats so save a life and take cats from this disgusting place I do expect a response from her because she is defensive and cares about her damaged reputation.
