My dog, Sam, has been a client of Luna's Pet Spaw for years now and I can't recommend them highly enough. He's a big baby and doesn't like pretty much anything being done to him and they are so good with him. He is a short hair dog so he just needs a bath and nail trimming when he goes but that's no small chore with that one! Even though he's a total turkey about getting things done (and I'm sure lets them know very dramatically that he is sure they are trying to torture him) he is still always excited to get in the car and go there, which speaks volumes to how wonderful they are with him. read more

Our second visit to Luna's Pet Spaw and it is a terrific place. The first visit was a shave down for summer and Lilly was so much cooler after her visit. Today was a bath and nail trim and she looks lovely. They are so thoughtful and gentle when taking the pup...she is not used to being groomed ....it is usually a DIY at home. So much nicer for both of us to have professionals do the grooming. Make and appointment and they are always on time and everything is neat as a pin. Yes, she was excited when I picked her up and ready to go....with a lovely pink bow....she is set for remainder of winter on the hill. read more

I can't speak highly enough of this business. My Bernese mountain dog has been to many different groomers in the past and Luna's is by far the BEST place I've ever taken him. My dog gets extreme anxiety going to the groomers but that didn't happen here! When we arrived for the first appointment, the owner got down on the floor with him, spent time getting to know him, gave him lots of treats and made him feel comfortable. Then when he was ready, they calmly lead him over to the bath with a treat and he WILLINGLY pranced away. I couldn't believe it. It was such a small gesture of empathy and patience, but it made it a world of difference. Such a positive experience for us both. The business is adorable too. Very well designed and maintained. There only two grooming stations inside. So only two dogs at any given time. Also they don't get put in cages. They are free to happily roam around after they're done with their grooming. It's so calm and relaxing in there, your pet will feel happy and comfortable. Take your dog here for grooming! You will not regret it. (Also their prices are GREAT!!) read more

Telia was so great with my scared, long haired dachshund Bernie. He had never been groomed before and was fearful. Petco refused to groom him because he was so uncooperative. Telia was very gentle and soothing to him. He was able to have a shave to remove multiple mats. Would highly recommend this Pet Spaw! read more

I took my matted cat in and Telia did an amazing job. She was super friendly and did more than I could have expected, given that my cat (like most cats) hates grooming and anyone who isn't her owner. She even made sure I knew that the grooming time would most likely be cut short by my cat's impatience, so that was very informative and appreciated; and yet she still did everything I wanted done on my cat. This is a service that is in high demand in the mountain, so I advise that you book in advance. Pricing is pretty much identical to what Petsmart would be charging to groom cats, so no complaints there. I will definitely come back here if needed. read more

The atmosphere in their shop is calm. They took time asking about behavior and anatomical areas my pet may be sensitive about. Best grooming care I've ever found! I have a trio of Boxers, two of them under a year and Luna's staff are so patient with my pups. They are gentle with their sensitivities (i.e. ears and paws) and even provided me suggestions for massaging and handling these areas to help my dogs become more comfortable with the grooming routine. Best tip ever was for my white Boxer who gets red marks on her face from eye boogs. A little bit of buttermilk mixed in with her breakfast and dinner cleared it all up! Can't recommend these folk highly enough. I trust my Boxer brood with them implicitely! read more
