Fun walkable layout with mostly accessible holes with a really tough stretch on the back 9. I would say three bad holes: 10, 13, and 17. On 10 and 17, the fairways should be flattened out in my opinion. 13 is brutal for all but the best players. It would be a great par 5... But there are a lot of good holes out here. Good number of risk reward tee shots too. Practice facilities are okay. The range is severely sloped which probably helps protect balls from going right towards the first fairway. Half of the putting green is not very usable. Similar to the one at Whiskey Creek. But unlike Whiskey Creek, you won't see slopes that severe out here. The people who work here know this place has a reputation of slow rounds, which has been true in my experience. On weekends expect 5 hour round. But they go out of their way to be obnoxious about pace. My last experience had two guys in a cart trying to rush a group four separate times. I think they could split up and actually try and spot golf balls to help move things along. Be sure to keep an eye out on the leagues and high school groups going out on weekday afternoons.

Maybe I am being overly stingy with the rating because of the membership requirements. Over $100k and a 10+ year waiting list. This is where folks with money come to play and relax. Working with Nondh Amranand at Golftec has been a breakout for my game. The technology of the launch monitor combined with video replay and Nondh's observations accelerated my game to where I am now eager to get on the course rather than avoiding the tee box. Flaws were immediately visible on the video and results were immediately visible in the launch monitor where I could see the distance I was hitting the ball and the angle of flight. The three forms of feedback moved my game from stagnant to dynamic with improvements coming quickly. Highly recommend Nondh for his great insights and creative techniques to improve my swing.

Walking up to the main entrance, it is beautiful with large doors and once you enter, the areas are kept so clean! The staff walking around greet you and as you walk through the building, it leads you to the back golf course! It is huge and veryyyy well kept. I am sure members pay a lot of money so that it should be a given that the county club is well kept but either way, they definitely hold their end of the bargain. We stopped by the bar to grab a drink and the drink i got was a cucumber, elderflower martini and it was so refreshing for a hot sunny day!

Upon arrival, I was immediately greeted by the attendant who was gracious and helpful. Pro Shop staff were all friendly and directed me to my golf cart. View of the golf course can be appreciated from the putting greens and the range is a short golf cart drive away. Course was in great condition, fairways were wide with gentle slopes and dips that challenged your course management and club selection. Due to time, I wasn't able to go inside and enjoy the bar but hoping if I get an invite to come back, we'll have time to enjoy the 19th hole!

I have been seeing Nick for years and he continues to be the best. He knows his stuff about all…read morethe new equipment that my friends and I want to try out. One of his better qualities is that he doesn't push the new gear, club heads or shafts, onto you unless he knows it'll help your game. I cannot tell you how valuable that is during a fitting. I have heard too many bad stories from other premier fitting locations, CC or others, where that isn't the case. Another great thing is the equipment is an ongoing conversation and we have discussed tweaks to lie angles and lofts depending on misses or gapping issues. Nick is also the best builder in the entire area. Every club he has built me is spot on. I have sent dozens of friends and students who say the same thing. His attention to detail is impeccable. Note: Whenever I drop something off, I always follow it up with a typed message with all the specs, grip orientation, etc. just in case he's busy. Lastly, Nick is a great guy and very humble. I am always happy to visit this club. The course is excellent. It has a smaller footprint than…read moremost, but they truly maximized the space. The greens and green surrounds are some of the best. The fast green speeds on a daily basis function well with the slopes. One rarely has a straight putt here. The surrounds have a great mixture of tight fairway grass, thick rough, and deep bunkers. Each hole has playable spots which make strategy an essential part of scoring well here. Some people may think it's too short, but I think that adds to the level of thought getting around this track. Many times driver off the tee is not the play, and that is also pin specific. Not a lot of courses around here get to that level which is why I always have fun. I have many favorite holes. The par 3s probably stand out the most in my mind. Each has a different type of elevation change and each asks a different question off the tee. They are just so good. I also love the par 5 4th hole. It looks like things kick left off the tee but there's some subtle slope that keeps your drive going straight. After that, the second shot is blocked by a tree and a well placed bunker on the right, and everything kicks left. Then the green has one of the deepest bunkers guarding short left. Essentially, you have to take on some risk not matter what. What adds to it is how getable that second shot is with a perfectly placed tee shot. That hole has so many layers. The driving range is good. I just need to set up my Trackman app the next time I'm here to get the most out of it. The putting green is awesome. So many ridges running through it, just like you would see on the golf course. There is a chipping green and bunkers towards the back of the parking lot as well. It's little used but should provide any shot you need from 75 yards and in. The members have been welcoming and fun to get to know. I have been here about a dozen times and only had one not so great interaction. Luckily we skipped a couple of holes to get around them and continued to have a lot of fun that day. I haven't explored the clubhouse much, but the food I got one time was excellent and I loved sitting outside with our excellent server. I am sorry I forgot to get his name! It is always a treat to come out here. I hope to do so again in the near future!

The course is hilly, the greens are smooth, and the rough can be thick. You definitely have to hit the ball straight because every hole is tight and tree-lined. The greens are sloped usually pretty severely so make sure you stay below the hole! Lots of variations too so you can't get bored. It has a great collection of par 4s. Only shortcomings are: 1) The driving range "ends" at 190 yards. 2) The chipping green is very far away from everything else. 3) The course is short and a par 70. That being said if you have a chance to play here do so! Definitely a small gem not too far away from the city. I would love to be able to join, too bad I can't afford it.
