Located in Summerlin, Nevada is the challenging Par 71 TPC Las Vegas course what was once known as TPC Canyons when it first opened in 1996. As this was my first TPC course I have ever played, this course was definitely challenging with lots of carrys over canyons and mountainscape. This course is not particularly long but shot placement is key. The greens were fantastic for a cold December day with a temp of 50F. The clubhouse was fantastic as were the staff who were there to assist that day. This course will test you so hit them straight and have a good time enjoying the Las Vegas mountains in the background. read more

To start, I NEVER leave yelp reviews. But the experience was just plain awful. The pro shop attendee was rude and just not the slightest bit helpful. Easiest way to lose clientele, I'm a Vegas resident and I will never be back here. You will pay $350 (if you don't get resident rate, which $188 for resident is still WAY overpriced) for each hole to make you want your money back. To be fair, the hole designs and fairways are nice, but the greens completely ruin it. The greens are so bad, it looks like they are diseased / some sort of fungus. Good luck making any birdies when the greens roll terribly. Go across the street to angel park and play great greens for $83. It's embarrassing this is a TPC course, in a prime location like Las Vegas read more

Very picturesque and wonderfully challenging course. Greens have been aerated so just slightly a tad rough. But the fairways are super. Love that we got to see the pretty landscape and mountain view's. Plenty of cute critters that come out, like the little bunnies, a fox, quail with their itty babies. Today we rode alone which gave us way to play at a good pace and finish up before lunch! 2 Water stations with ice and water dispenser as well as at the turn. Beverage/ snack cart also on the course. Bathrooms also available at those stations and service was great. read more

My friends and I planned this trip to Las Vegas to play at some of the great courses here in Las Vegas and TPC Las Vegas was the first one we tried out. There was a short frost delay but the sun was out and that helped with defrosting the course as there was very little in way of trees creating shadows. Once we arrived we spent about 30 mins before our tee time so we were able to hang out at the bar restaurant and get some breakfast. It had a very nice view of the 18th fairway. Once we were told the delay was off, we headed down and was paired up with a single (we were a threesome). This will come off weird later in this review. The first group off was a threesome and we followed about 10 minutes later. Once we got going I noticed that the group behind us was only a twosome. Don't get me wrong and I did enjoy meeting and playing with Norm (the single) but during the round we had the marshal telling us to speed up pace of play as the group in front of us was two holes ahead and the group behind was waiting for us. This does not make any sense if you count the number of people in each group and space out the players so that everyone can move along at a good clip. Eventually we completed our round in about 3 hours 45 mins which was pretty fast for a foursome and some of the long drives between tees and greens on a number of holes. Other than the marshal, the rest of the crew was very nice and hospitable. The state of the course was pretty good but the grass on the green seemed to have thin spots and speed was inconsistent. There were also many ball marks on the green that were not repaired and I tried to repair as least 2-3 marks on every green. The course had plenty of difficulty and length with a slope of 128 from the whites. The native areas were sometimes more rocky than sandy that made me think twice before playing with my brand new irons. I did enjoy the round though I did not play my best. For a challenging time I recommend the blended tees. I am not too sure that I can fully recommend the course for $145 green fee and expect a little more. I will definitely think twice before coming back here again. read more

Played Saturday at 3:00 pm. The course was fun to play and was mostly in good condition. The afternoon tee sheet was pretty empty due to 100°+ temps, so the course was pretty wide open and our pace of play was excellent. But overall this course is overpriced, especially for locals who have plenty of other great options. Here was the feedback I have to TPC in their survey about how they can do better: 1. Actually staff the bag drop stand. I pulled in and had three golf bags to unload. There was no one at the stand. I waited a minute or so and eventually just unloaded the bags and parked the car. Came back to the bags and no one had come up, so I carried all three bags back the the pro shop entrance area. Once we got keys to carts, we loaded the bags ourselves. Paiute costs half as much to play (as a resident), and they have multiple people working the bag drop, load clubs on carts and drive the carts to the staging area. Big miss for TPC! 2. Maybe have the halfway house open when you have golfers in the course so we don't have to waste time driving all the way back to the clubhouse to spend our money on beverages? Or if you're not going to keep it open during play, notify players so we have a chance to stock up before we start the round. 3. Pay attention to when golfers are coming into the clubhouse (in our case, it was at the turn). We walked in for drinks, served ourselves from the fridge, and stood around waiting for someone to come to the bar and ring us up. Then a guy came from somewhere in back, looked at us, and just stood at the other end of the restaurant talking to another staff member. I had to start walking towards him before he walked over to ring us up. Side note: my guess is that each one of these pieces of feedback would be met with an attempted explanation that's tied to the time of day we played (3:00 pm on a Saturday). I get that there weren't a lot of players on the tee sheet. But if you're going to be open for business and take our $175 pp (where's the real love for locals, btw?), then I believe the level of service provided should be commensurate with the premium rates you charge. The lack of service could almost be excused if you dropped rates due to low demand (3:00 time in 100°+ heat), but that aspect of the experience was a tremendous let down considering what we paid to play. If that's what I can expect at TPC, I'll gladly continue to patronize courses like Paiute, Bears Best, and Rio Secco instead. read more

Came here for Family golf vacation on 12/19. 5 stars for the course, it was in great condition. However, my family and I were not impressed with the customer service from the outdoor staff. - The starter asked my brother in law what his handicap was, just to approve him to play the blue tees. We are the paying customer, we should be able to play whatever tees we like. (They are scratch players) - We reserved two morning tee times for two groups for a FAMILY vacation. My group was a 3 some, me, my husband and my Mom. The starter forced a single to be in our group, without asking if it was okay with us. It was too close for comfort for my Mom to sit in the same cart with a stranger. Also, it was a disservice to the single because he preferred to play the tips while my Mom played the very front tees. We're lucky the man ended up being very nice to play up tees. - My father in law was putting on sunscreen at the turn, and overheard the outside staff talk crap about how long he was taking. Management, please better train your staff to treat PAYING customers with respect. There are many other beautiful golf courses we could have chosen to play. I had a good experience with TPC Vegas in the past, so I recommended to my family to play here. I'm not so sure about next time they go on their annual visits to Vegas! :( === To Joe: Nice try trying to discard my comments. Please give me your manager's number as you are not fit to respond to reviews on this platform. Our reservation was under my Father in Law's name in 12/19/19. There was a frost delay that morning. There are no rules in the book to forbid anyone to play the tees they want. Its only "courtesy" to play faster so golf courses can squeeze more customers in. Regarding forcing singles to bundle up or pay for empty slots to play by yourself, please show me a case where a party of three or two pays for extra tee times to play by themselves. Course bunkers and greens are terrible. I played here Sun July 2nd 2023. Having played Bali Hai a day before, TPC las vegas was NOT better than Bali Hai. In comparison the course and bunkers, greens, location and the staff at Bali Hai was so much better. TPC Las Vegas staff was rude and will NOT work with you if your plans need modification. For example, a group playing behind us originally reserved for a foursome but the other two players could not make it. They charged this guy's credit card for a foursome and then paired him with another two some. The TPC staff would not credit him when he brought this up to the pro shop after the round. They paired my group of 2 with them citing slow play of being 3 mins behind. Leading up to 9th hole we were waiting on every tee box. Citing slow play was not justified in this case. Save your money and time, play Bali Hai. You will have much more fun at Bali Hai than TPC Las Vegas! Do not book TPC...they Will gouge you!! read more

TPC Las Vegas is a pretty nice place to play. The course is pretty challenging in that you can't take a driver and smash it on every par 4 or 5 out there. The greens are super fast and the greens are also really hard to read (apparently the greens all run towards the Stratosphere Hotel). Other than that, the course doesn't play too hard. I managed a pretty decent front 9 until I got tired (running on 3 hours of sleep). After that, the wheels fell off and things fell apart for me, my swing wasn't the same in the back 9. The clubhouse is where I took off a star (I was going to originally give TPC 4-stars). The bathrooms were old, the toilet privacy stalls/doors were falling apart and unhinging from their nuts and bolts. Mind you, there are realllllly nice private and public courses in LA that play like private courses with bathrooms that look like a billion dollar bathrooms. TPC LV's bathrooms were not. No GPS on your carts and you're paying how much to play? Yeah..they have the distance on the sprinkler heads to give you the distance, but why no high-tech GPS systems? All in all a pretty good experience. The practice range was nice, starters, clubhouse folks, even the refreshment cart girls were nice. Next Vegas trip, I'll try another highend course though! read more

It's pretty amazing that you can play were the pros play. We played here on Sunday on a golf package that I booked with the JW Marriott located within minutes of the course. We teed off around 10:00 am and we never saw anybody behind us the entire day. We finally caught a group in front of us around the 16th hole so it was enjoyable not playing with groups stacked on top of each other. The course was decent but for being a TPC course I was disappointed in the maintenance of the course. It seems like the course must of got to much recent play and I noticed it. Fairways are all pretty wide and the slope was not that tough from the mixed tee box. Greens were a 11 on the stimpmeter so they were fast but rolled true. The practice facility here is very good including the driving range, chipping area and practice putting greens. I would probably play here again but would not pay the regular rack rate which is $169.00 per player for this time of year. read more

As a local my favorite course to play. Played the course right when Vegas just opened after the covid lock down so the course was in great shape. This use to be called TPC at the Canyons and one of the courses the pro's played for the yearly PGA tournament held in October a few years ago. The greens were extremely fast. The course was well manicured, even the rough. Some great signature holes were you have to drive over the canyon especially from the tips. (I play the reds). Great rates for locals right now. A course to atleast play once. read more

My Fathers Review Yesterday - Rude front staff. Had an injured golfer, called ahead to cancel the day before, and was told that it wouldn't be a problem. The day of golf, I was charged for the injured player. Front staff was short, didn't want to hear anything, and was only concerned with getting the charge on the card. TPC Las Vegas is not a course that I would play again given the other 5 star courses with great service in addition to good conditions. I can not say the same about TPC Las Vegas and will not be playing this course again moving forward. read more

What is with the attitude at this golf course. If you read through these reviews you will definitely see a pattern. I try and patronize the golf courses and their restaurants whenever possible especially in this pandemic when the servers could really use the business. Unfortunately our experience yesterday with a pro shop employee, Jerome, was far from pleasant. We had called before going to the course to make sure we could take our 20 week old Border Collie puppy and sit on the patio for brunch. Heidi told me their patio was dog friendly. Great, be there soon. However, after having our meal, my wife was walking the puppy back to our car via the outside route and Jerome felt it necessay to come out a side door of the pro shop and chastise my wife for having a dog on property. Explaining to him that we called beforehand didn't seem to matter much to Jerome. Employees and Management of TPC Canyons really need to get on the same page. As it stands, we still don't know if the restaurant patio is dog friendly or not. Thanks TPC for the confusion. read more

What a wonderful day at TPC Las Vegas!!! The course was in such amazing shape we felt guilty driving our cart on the pristine fairways. Lies around the green where consistently conducive for perfect chips. The greens where rolling pure and consistent from 1st hole thru 18!!! Keep this gem quiet as we played in 3 hours and 30 mins. Great facility. Played at noon on December 11th. Pro Shop staff was great. However, the starter was in a bad mood and generally seemed like he hated his job. Was not at all friendly and was rude. We were surprised and disappointed. We live in Ponte Vedra, FL and play TPC Sawgrass regularly. The starters attitude would never be tolerated at TPC Sawgrass. read more

His wife happened to go into labor the night before so we unfortunately weren't able to fill his spot for a 7 am tee time the next morning and the guy in the pro shop basically told us he didn't care. ABSOLUTELY THE WORST SERVICE of ANY GOLF COURSE I've played in the US. There is NO bag drop area. You are required to load, unload your bags, carry them from and to the parking lot and the cart. I don't mind carrying my bag or loading it, but when there is NO ONE there to assist/direct you in the process, it's unacceptable!!! If you don't get everything out of your cart before taking your bags to the curb, the staff is COMPLETELY unapologetic for throwing away ANYTHING you didn't get out of your cart. Course was in great shape. Disappointing with cart path only holes including hole 1 with the sun blinding. Paying top dollar we expect the best. Cart path only should be after overseeding. Not 3 months after. Not one host said a thing through the round. After 18 holes they have something to say. I'll take my money elsewhere. We can play the same type of course all over town. The greens are divoted all over. If they are going to bitch about play for a 2nd tee time, the maintenance could at least take care of the greens at night or before. Take a note from courses like Paiute or others charging similar rates. I would rate this course as angel park with more difficult approach shots. Inflated business. TPC Las Vegas is a must experience. Great lay out, some very challenging holes with surprises for first timers. We played the back tees and loved the holes where you had to carry your drives to reach the fairways. Great practice area, one of the best driving ranges with wide range...but, not a fan of hitting off of mats. Staff was great, conditions on fairways and greens were great, tee boxes were in need of attention but not bad. Club house and food was great, great service, great quality...you won't be disappointed if you love golf. read more

Held a tournament ( 20 players) and our 1st group supposedly fell behind. They demanded that our 1st group skip a hole to catch up which was unacceptable... We would have gladly played very fast to catch up but they said they have other paying customers behind us that you are holding up... What a crock of BS... Mitchell the club pro in Charge could have apologized and said we will gladly help you play the hole you skipped but continued to say we were at fault... Never be part of a tourney where they demand you skip a hole to catch up to a group ahead that was playing fast and the supposed 1st group never had the group behind waiting... Great course but staff that didn't care about anything but grilling golfers to speed their ass up for no good reason! read more

Another one of my favorite golf courses here in Vegas.....this one is tucked between the Suncoast & Rampart Casinos in Summerlin. It is the sister course to the private TPC course in Summerlin where the PGA event is held. This course can be challenging for high handicap players and beginners. However, for everyone else the immaculate and fast greens are a lot of fun. I played in a tournament, scramble play, and had the round of our lives....we couldn't miss....bad thing was that another group had the game of their life and beat us by 1 stroke! Dammit! Besides tournament play, I've played this course numerous times on regular days....I like how it's not very crowded on weekdays. The scenery is your typical Vegas desert course, but the rolling hills and well maintained course doesn't make you feel high and dry. The clubhouse is very nice and the food is excellent! The starter is friendly and is always full of useful information. Not too many courses have starters like that anymore. Will I return? I can guarantee that I will! read more

I think I found my home course here in Vegas! First of all it is extremely close to my home in a Summerlin which is a huge plus, especially if I get the itch to go pitch and putt for an hour or so. I was disappointed when I didn't move quickly enough online on an early tee time so I decided to call tpc and ask about resident tee times and specials. They have tons of specials for residents so don't be intimidated by their listed prices! I was able to get on at 6:10 am as a single with no problems. The service was courteous and efficient. Small details like having range balls in nylon bags instead of plastic baskets was a treat. Felt like a PGA pro! anyone who has been to a pro tournament know what I mean. The range was nice, got to hit off the grass. Didn't get too much time to evaluate the practice facilities since my tee time was so freaking early but I will provide a followup review about that! The course was in very solid shape. The fairways were green and spongy(in good way). The greens were punched a few weeks prior but was very solid. Can't wait to be back next week because it will be perfect. The course is forgiving without being boring. I also like the fact some of the holes have trees because I love parking my cart in the shade whenever possible. The GPS is very accurate and state of the art. Beware of ads that appear on the screen when driving because you don't want to be distracted and plow into a bunker. After the round, I actually took advantage of the summer pass for residents which is $600 for 12 rounds, no restrictions. That's $50 per round! I am going to be playing a lot of golf this summer! read more

Got my first chance to play here last Saturday and would have to say for the locals price of $60 this place is well worth it. Was definitely a challenging course, but for someone who barely breaks 100 (hey I only golf once a month if that to anyone laughing), I was still able to keep up and enjoy it. Desert style course but still some pretty wide fairways offer some give for us shanking and hooking, left to right. Can't be a great judge of greens as they were aerated on the Tuesday before I played. But they are large and can offer some loooong putts. Also as others noted, once we got out there we didn't really run into anyone else on the course, played through without any slow downs. So they definitely are timing sending groups out very well. read more

I'm a member at TPC sawgrass and as good as TPC Vegas was as a course the starter was equally as bad. Other than that, great course and time. Hopefully they rectify this soon. read more

TPC Las Vegas (formerly TPC The Canyons) is a sweet course in Sin City. I really enjoyed myself there. I am a huge fan of desert golf, and this one didn't disappoint. I played during aerification, so the greens were a little bumpy - but it didn't spoil my round one bit. The course is currently in the rotation for the Seniors - and Tiger Woods won his first professional tournament here. It also recently received honors in GolfWeeks Readers Choice Award as a Top 50 Public Course. The courses main feature is that it is located in a canyon. So many of the par 3's are tough. All that stands between tee box and green is desert floor, sage and brush. There is also a fat gorge on the back nine - which made things challenging. The hole that got the brunt of the gorge was titled "Gorge-eous." We got absolutely dumped on out of nowhere for a few holes. Overall, a studly course in Vegas. read more

As a Vegas local I must say this is one of the top most beautiful courses in town. Such a well manicured course. Fairways and grass are immaculate. Major props to the greenskeeper. A-plus PGA tour shape. Views are amazing. The pro in the golf shop was super nice and After I looked in my bag and realized I lost my iron on the last course I played a few days ago he was quick to let me borrow a rental club. The beverage cart lady was around often, the mid 9-hole refreshment stand was great (even thought I wish they werent out of brats lol) Was a packed day but yet the play was smooth never had to wait. Fantastic course to challenge yourself and to practice. I have played at TPC Las Vegas many years and ask a vegas local, It is one of the best courses in vegas in my opinion. Make sure to get to the course early to check out all their facilities both practice area and inside the clubhouse. Sometimes I see people just rush to the first tee and they really miss out on the full TPC experience. The staff is always friendly and the food in the club house is top notch. Lots of variety. If you are not from Vegas make sure to try and get an early tee time in the summer to beat the heat. It is worth it. Otherwise hit em long and straight and stay out of the canyons :) read more

First impression of TPC Las Vegas was surely the greens. Those babies rolled so true and made putting well worth the read. Outside of this the course was in great shape, particularly considering the high-heat conditions that Vegas seems to be struggling with. This was the best kept of the three courses I played on this particular trip -- and I've played almost every course in Vegas. My only annoyance was our group being pushed to speed up play, due to empty holes ahead. I was 2 over through nine when we got warned, and I personally didn't have a moment of concern with pace from my playing partners -- a foursome mix of female and male golfers, which is always a challenge with different tees. They handled those different tees well and moved quick. There was no one pushing us from behind... and a two some ahead of us, so I sure hope theyd be quicker than us... It annoyed me because I could tell it affected their game on the next few holes. Local members told me I need to come back next year to see better course conditions, and I will.
