Once I left they dragged their feet and took several weeks to give me access to my domain. Later on they took my Google Business Page and changed all the info to one of their other clients. All my reviews everything was turned over to another business. The only reason I found this out was by looking who still had access to my Google Business Profile. Sure enough it was them and of course the new website linked to my profile was a Townsquare template for another business. I even called the business to confirm. This is extremely low as I spent years acquiring these reviews on Google and am now much worse off than before working with them. So I signed up with them a month ago. They did build a nice website for me but that's about it. FB page was not set up properly at all and I had to redo it after speaking directly with someone from FB. Posts they did had absolutely nothing to do with my business and gave ZERO information about what we offer. They tried to get me to pay them another $1000 to do FB and instagram ads, "guaranteeing me" 300 hits to the website in a month long campaign. I set this up myself again with the help of FB's marketing team for a $100 and will easily see those numbers on my own. Just overly pushy young sales people who fail to realize that there is no value to what they are doing. The account person I have, Amber Opel, has become non-responsive to my complaints and thus far has not facilitated contact with a manager despite several requests (I have also left a voicemail for TownSquare directly, no response). Web performance with the SEO etc. put in place performed no better than when I built my own website and the only response is that "it takes time for Google to trust me"--which is fine, but then why I am paying them $300 per month to sit around and wait for this? They are not doing anything at all. They also told me I needed positive reviews and would send me links for this- I have asked at least 4 times and waited a week. Nothing. This whole operation really seems like an elaborate way to con people out of hard earned dollars. I hope someone from TownSquare sees this and contacts me, as I fully expect to take my website to another server, be credited for the social media monitoring, the reputation monitoring and SEO optimization services. I also fully expect that they cancel my contract effective from Friday last week when I raised concerns about their service-- I have essentially now been wasting my time just waiting for some kind of acknowledgement, communication and response. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE COMPLETE SCAMMERS!!! I was promised by their sales rep Ashley Paul that they could advertise my CBD brand and she even went as far as to tell me they advertise for other CBD brands when i was skeptical of it due to being lied to by other companys claiming to be able to advertise for CBD brands. She took a deposit of $319 for marketing services that included as a free website according to her that was an added on bonus and then passed me on to a lady named Casey Godwin who was very unprofessional and pushy who was supposed to create the website but there were tons of errors and spelling mistakes that i had to go over with her a dozen times and every time she would fix an issue she would push me to agree to make the website go live which would start the billing period. However every time she fixed an issue she would either not fix all of them or she would create new ones when she edited it. After 2 months of going back and forth with her I finally asked for a new person to help me because all she cared regarding was making it live so she could pass me on to the next person and the billing period would start. Finally I started dealing with Izayah Thomas who seems to act as if he is helping you but once he runs out of excuses he will just stop all communication. They refuse to refund the deposit I paid. The billing lady named Brittany Wattley has lied to me 2 seperate times regarding the refund. Once saying the refund was issued to my card and then after it wasnt she said there is a check being mailed to me and would call me once it was mailed off and then after waiting 2 weeks i called her back over the course of 3 or 4 days and would always go straight to voicemail and i emailed her at this point and she informed me that they wont send me a refund. read more

Naturally, we requested cancellation and a refund because absolutely NOTHING was updated as promised. What I will say is if you are looking for SEO improvements, keep looking. My ranking did not improve after several months. I cannot recommend them although the guy that signed me up and the girl that I worked with were personable and easy to talk to.However, in the end, it's about what I had hope for and that is "results that lead to increase". A "used car salesman" type guy named Sean sold me on their services and ensured me they handled many landscaper's pages and that if I decided to cancel at any time all of the content on the website was mine and nothing would change. So let's start with how they did the website. They did a decent home page with every other page basic. The verbiage was written as though they knew nothing about my industry even though he assured me they did. A fifth grader could have used better spelling and grammar in my website and it was apparent it wasn't proofread one bit. After sending a word document to these idiots to copy word for word on my website (did their job for them) they still made many grammatical errors after I specifically sent them in an email to proofread it before publishing. When I decided to cancel after the first month they gave me half a day to copy and paste what was on my website before they shut it down and I have to now rebuild the whole thing from scratch. I like the pricing I am experiencing which is 50% of what I am seeing from the other review comments I am seeing here! I find that kind of strange but either way the pricing seems to be good for me, the design they have given me I love, the attention as well as availability has been constant within minutes generally. I am a new customer so I will watch for the negatives I am hearing from some of these reviews, but my primary payment method is a credit card, on which I, of course, can stop payments if necessary. I hired townsquare interactive to do some Search Engine Optimization for my business a few months ago, and was very disappointed in the results. I get calls from businesses like this all the time, saying they can get me on the front page of Google and other search engines. Townsquare was very professional over the phone, so I was hoping to get professional service. The results were anything but. I paid a premium fee upfront for a one month "trial period" in hopes that this company would help my brand get more visibility online. My company specializes in fiber cement siding and I could not have stressed enough that the customers I was trying to reach out to were people needing this service. After waiting a month, to see how the service worked out, I received a report showing what key phrases directed people to my company's website. From what I've seen There service did not bring a single person to my website, and Hardie Fiber Cement Siding was not listed in any of the 10 key phrases they were Optimizing. Honestly, I don't believe they made ANY back end Optimizations to my website at all. After several phone calls with Townsquare Interactive, and explaining why I was unsatisfied with their service, they've decided to charge me for another month of there basically inexistent service. So, in total, they've charged me about $600+ for a few mediocre posts on my company's Facebook page. When I gave instructions the web team didnt pay any attention. When they advertised for me on facebook, something they would not allow me to preapprove, they advertised things that had nothing to do with my business. I wanted to up my web presence for my law practice, so when Townsquare cold called me about SEO services I foolishly signed up without reading the Yelp reviews first. I stayed with Townsquare from June to September before I dumped them. The website they created was cookie cutter and amateurish. In the four months it was active it converted 0 clients despite my aiming google adwords ads at it. They charged me about $450 a month to lose me clients. The final aggravation was that their own reports showed they were actually FALLING in google ranking over time in many of my key categories. I called to cancel immediately on receiving their September report. Although reports have always been sent on the 14th and my card was charged on the 16th, I learned after cancellation that they consider the 14th the billing day and that I would have to pay for an entire month I wasn't using. Dealing with Townsquare Interactive has been nearly impossible. I agree with the previous review that their initial pitch is great. But with all things that are too good to be true - as such was townsquare's promises to help with Search Engine Optimization. All employees were polite and said the "right things" but essentially nothing was ever done. I used their service for over 7 months at about $900/month. I never made it to "the first page of major search engines" as promised. Many of the popular directories I was promised to be featured on either didn't have my listing or had an entirely wrong listing (it had another business and didn't even mention mine). Once I was finally fed up with all the broken promises Townsquare offered to "host" my website that they built for $129 a month. This was after the original pitch where the salesman told me "they would never high jack my website like Yodel had previously". Alas, they high jacked my website - the URL I own independently now redirects to their website and I have nothing to show for my over $6,000.00 spent. I never received any phones calls through their service and was eventually told by an employee that "it might just not work out". That was that. I do not recommend Townsquare to any business for any reason. They have the polite customer service down pat.
