Some little jerk named Sean called me telling me hes received a message I sent inquiring about the services of Townsquare Interactive. Complete lie. Everyday I get calls with this soliciting style. He knows damn well I never called. I cant speak on the quality of their service but for one, I know they engage in low life style sales pitches. Im sick of the soliciting phone calls from all these new age marketing firms and or seo nimrods. Its all a scam. Stop annoying people! read more

Steer clear folks! I used them for about 8 months. Charge was $399/month. Jordan Ward was my account rep. I spoke with her about canceling and she refused to cancel it. I stopped payment on the card linked to the account. They continued to bill me for 2 additional months! I refused to pay them because I had requested cancelation 2 months earlier. Yesterday, I got a call from their attorney! They put it to collections. I sent Jordan a message about this and I have yet to hear anything back. At first, they did great... Then they slacked off and did nothing... Yet the cost didn't change. read more

They are the worst. I canceled the marketing project but they have continued to charge my card for months.

Gosh, I wish I had read these other reviews prior to working with Townsquare Interactive. Please note I was very explicit that I was looking for a "website build" First what I did like... I found Townsquare through Bark. They were the only company of the 5 to whom my info was given that did not hound me for the entire weekend that I requested information. Joe, Josh (?) contacted me Monday morning, polite and courteous. I told him my needs and I really felt like I understood what they had to offer me. Nope, but more on that later. I was then handed to Zachary. I very much enjoyed visiting with him about my vision and what I was trying to accomplish, and I felt like after over an hour on the phone that he understood what I was looking for, also nope. Here comes the bad part... He then passed all of the information from our conversation to Ashley for the actual build. Many things were requested from me: photos, copy, logo, design ideas etc. I sent it ALL, that day, multiple emails explaining what I had already done, and what I was looking for. Crickets. One week later, the day before were were to go live I was sent the "rough draft" of my site. Literally made me sick to my stomach. Not one item I had sent was used, she could not have even opened my emails. MY LOGO WAS NOT ON THE SITE ANYWHERE!!!!! She obviously had no idea what Speech Pathologists do, stock photos, ridiculous and embarrassing wording "Is your child shy to speak?" WHAT? And my city was named a ridiculous amount of times. Absolutely did not in any way capturing what it is I'm trying to accomplish. Before I even had a chance to get back with the designer, Zachary called to check in, hmmm...did you look at the rough draft with the same disgust? Is that why you are calling? I shared my horror at what I was seeing at which time there was total agreement that it was not what we had discussed, there was back pedaling, excuses and lack of ownership of the problem. Lots of "we can make any changes you want" which at that point was useless without ANY understanding of my vision. It was this point I realized that when I was told I would walk away at anytime, that would be WITHOUT my website. Unless I continued to pay them hundreds of dollars each month for analytics, algorithms, rankings, SEO, and a whole bunch of other stuff that I DO NOT NEED my website it theirs. People, if you leave, your website stays with them. Cancelled. Long story short... I'm out $150 I have no website I asked for at least a partial refund and was told that Joe/Josh would get back with me about that. More crickets. I asked for verification of my cancellation and was told in an email, yep your cancelled. Folks it was a rough week with NOTHING to show for it. Save yourself the heartache. I can see now that what they offer, is not a good fit for my business. A company with integrity would have told me that and suggested that I look for a local website designer. read more

DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY I have never dealt with a more dishonest company. I was continually told by my handler that something was being done and it never was. I gave them three months to attempt to do what they'd told me they'd do and they never made the changes. They continued to use cookie-cutter SEO terms that made no sense for my business. Every time I'd complain to the handler she'd say they'd fix it. They'd do a super tiny tweak just to show something changing but never actually do what they promised. Very dishonest company. read more

horseshit company. they don't care about your business only your money.. stay away. I had a rep completely diss my site because I didn't go with them. i uploaded pictures of the text messages on google if you are curious as to how rude and unprofessional they are. but hey if you need a human alarm clock tell them you need SEO and they'll be ringing you 9 AM to sell you some bs you could do yourself read more

If I could give a lower rating, I would. They came off so professionally and had a great sales pitch. Then once they started billing me monthly, I got nothing but disappointment. Poor service. No delivery of what they promised. Management would make promises then deny that they did. I don't appreciate the side comments from your representatives especially when they call daily.

This is one company that I wish I could give a 0 stars to. I have had a campaign with this company and it is clear they are not doing anything. I have recently moved my business location and have been trying to reach out to them every day for 2 weeks. I have emailed 5 different people and have been on hold on the phone every day for hours. The time that I was able to get through to someone I was promised that I would get a call back within 30 min. That was 4 days ago. Since then, I have called every day to get in contact with someone and the phone does not get answered. I called because we moved our office at the begining of the month and I have requested my account get updated. It still has not. My Google listing, my Facebook and my own website has incorrect information! The whole point of having a website is so that customers can find you. This is seriously the most horrible company. I will be going elsewhere as soon as I can get someone to respond to me so I can cancel my account. This is one of my emails I wrote to a manager! Still no contact. Hi Ryan, I am reaching out to you regarding my townsquare campaign. I have been attempting to reach someone for weeks. I sent an email to who I thought was my account manager weeks ago along with another contact at townsquare regarding our office moving locations. I called multiple times and finally was able to get in contact with a receptionist? on Friday. I was on hold for an hour with her while she attempted to reach out to someone who could help with updating my accounts and also creating 2 new emails. No one was able to get on the phone. I asked her to please send an email to all of those people so that someone could call me back and also copy me on the emails. I did not receive an email from her. I called back on Monday and spoke to the same girl and she put me through to somebody named Matthew, I provided him the information and he advised that someone would get back to me or work on my account. This has yet to happen. We have moved on July 1, 2022 and since then the address, phone and fax number on my Google, Facebook and on my own website are incorrect! This is completely inappropriate and a failure on your part to upkeep my account. I called back today and requested to speak to a supervisor and was advised that you were the supervisor and you were at lunch. Then I was told you were in a meeting. I was promised a call from you in 30 min. I am awaiting a call back from you. read more

Horrible company. Aggressive sales and was lied to about getting my money back if I decided to not move forward. DO NOT trust this company!

i Paid for the website and all of their services, we decided to choose a different rout and cancel the membership. so far it's been 3 month that we have been trying to contact them politely through emails and phone calls. We still haven't received a call from the manager name "Victor". We have waiting patiently for too long and they keep on charging money from our business account monthly after already paying for the months. we owe a success business from day one and we have so much work. We sign up because we didn't know anyone that could work on websites and media. They kept asking for personal quest We did not wanted to answer like "how does your projects cost". my lawyer will be contacting them next. read more

Terrible experience. I would not recommend this company to anyone. They promised to provide services including website building, SEO performance, etc. My website contained multiple errors including spelling and grammar. I spent more time asking for corrections than anything else. High turnover of staff. Items requested on website would be placed and then disappear; which would require another request. I regret this experience and the money I spent with very little return. I would give zero stars if possible. read more

So I signed up with them a month ago. They did build a nice website for me but that's about it. FB page was not set up properly at all and I had to redo it after speaking directly with someone from FB. Posts they did had absolutely nothing to do with my business and gave ZERO information about what we offer. They tried to get me to pay them another $1000 to do FB and instagram ads, "guaranteeing me" 300 hits to the website in a month long campaign. I set this up myself again with the help of FB's marketing team for a $100 and will easily see those numbers on my own. Just overly pushy young sales people who fail to realize that there is no value to what they are doing. The account person I have, Amber Opel, has become non-responsive to my complaints and thus far has not facilitated contact with a manager despite several requests (I have also left a voicemail for TownSquare directly, no response). Web performance with the SEO etc. put in place performed no better than when I built my own website and the only response is that "it takes time for Google to trust me"--which is fine, but then why I am paying them $300 per month to sit around and wait for this? They are not doing anything at all. They also told me I needed positive reviews and would send me links for this- I have asked at least 4 times and waited a week. Nothing. This whole operation really seems like an elaborate way to con people out of hard earned dollars. I hope someone from TownSquare sees this and contacts me, as I fully expect to take my website to another server, be credited for the social media monitoring, the reputation monitoring and SEO optimization services. I also fully expect that they cancel my contract effective from Friday last week when I raised concerns about their service-- I have essentially now been wasting my time just waiting for some kind of acknowledgement, communication and response. I also plan to file a complaint with BBB and see that there are other complaints on there. By far among the least professional organizations I have worked with. What a gigantic mistake. read more

As business owner (Greener-Earth.com) I'm frustrated on quite a number of points where Townsquare didn't meet expectations, especially on website content and accuracy. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE COMPLETE SCAMMERS!!! I was promised by their sales rep Ashley Paul that they could advertise my CBD brand and she even went as far as to tell me they advertise for other CBD brands when i was skeptical of it due to being lied to by other companys claiming to be able to advertise for CBD brands. She took a deposit of $319 for marketing services that included as a free website according to her that was an added on bonus and then passed me on to a lady named Casey Godwin who was very unprofessional and pushy who was supposed to create the website but there were tons of errors and spelling mistakes that i had to go over with her a dozen times and every time she would fix an issue she would push me to agree to make the website go live which would start the billing period. However every time she fixed an issue she would either not fix all of them or she would create new ones when she edited it. After 2 months of going back and forth with her I finally asked for a new person to help me because all she cared regarding was making it live so she could pass me on to the next person and the billing period would start. Finally I started dealing with Izayah Thomas who seems to act as if he is helping you but once he runs out of excuses he will just stop all communication. They refuse to refund the deposit I paid. The billing lady named Brittany Wattley has lied to me 2 seperate times regarding the refund. Once saying the refund was issued to my card and then after it wasnt she said there is a check being mailed to me and would call me once it was mailed off and then after waiting 2 weeks i called her back over the course of 3 or 4 days and would always go straight to voicemail and i emailed her at this point and she informed me that they wont send me a refund. read more

STAY CLEAR! After several weeks of requesting project updates, all we were getting was a general "we're working on it" excuse until our account rep eventually went completely silent. Naturally, we requested cancellation and a refund because absolutely NOTHING was updated as promised. After painstakingly working up the chain to a supervisor, she said her hands were tied because we didn't request cancellation in time DESPITE the fact that they had ample internal and external evidence that not a single thing was completed or even started. We were out several hundred dollars with no service or product to show for it and were ultimately forced to issue chargebacks against the company. This company is a mess, they don't deliver even quarter of what they promise. Please do not get involved with them or you will definitely regret it,save your money and put it elsewhere. At the beginning of the business relationship they were fine, until they got not fine and started to effect our business. They took over all our Social Media accounts including Google and were never updating anything, including our hours of operation that change from season to season.Till this day,you Google our business,it shows up as closed...They got lazy on updating our website and many customers complained that information listed was not accurate or not updated.Their Social Medial posting went from being different and radial every day,to no posting at all or every post is the same template with different words posted over and over again. The representative stated, "Backlinking is not part of our SEO product at TSI." What?! So if SEO is what you are looking for, keep looking. Backlinking is part of the SEO process, period. I went into this relationship hoping for the best only to end up disappointed. I can go into all the details specific to my circumstances but, I will spare you. What I will say is if you are looking for SEO improvements, keep looking. My ranking did not improve after several months. I cannot recommend them although the guy that signed me up and the girl that I worked with were personable and easy to talk to.However, in the end, it's about what I had hope for and that is "results that lead to increase". I cannot recommend them. Find someone you can trust and monitor them to ensure they are getting the results you want. Right now, finding trustworthy resources for website related improvements is about like finding a trustworthy mechanic. You gotta be careful when you don't really understand what they SHOULD be doing. read more

These people had a sales man call me when exaggerated what they could really offer, he was clear that if at any moment if I was not pleased with the service I could be refunded, once they got the payment things began to fall apart the salesman made promises that they were unable to perform, when I requested my money back they referred Mr to the sane salesman who then hung up on me claiming he was only trying to do the wrong thing. read more

I'm not even talking about SEO, which is joke for the money you charge. Townsquare has gotten paid for the service already. Your employees logged in once a month for a matter of minutes to make very small changes. Townsquare as a whole is not a good business. I was denied advertising on a certain radio station because a competitor was advertising on it. I've never heard of that before. I hear competing ads all the time on the radio. Not only do I think it's not ethical but it is probably illegal also. I standby my review, horrible business........ read more

Once I left they dragged their feet and took several weeks to give me access to my domain. Later on they took my Google Business Page and changed all the info to one of their other clients. All my reviews everything was turned over to another business. The only reason I found this out was by looking who still had access to my Google Business Profile. Sure enough it was them and of course the new website linked to my profile was a Townsquare template for another business. I even called the business to confirm. This is extremely low as I spent years acquiring these reviews on Google and am now much worse off than before working with them. Make sure you have them remove themselves from anything they have access to when leaving, they do not truly care about your business and do not play fair. read more

If I could leave a negative 100 star review I would. A "used car salesman" type guy named Sean sold me on their services and ensured me they handled many landscaper's pages and that if I decided to cancel at any time all of the content on the website was mine and nothing would change. So let's start with how they did the website. They did a decent home page with every other page basic. The verbiage was written as though they knew nothing about my industry even though he assured me they did. A fifth grader could have used better spelling and grammar in my website and it was apparent it wasn't proofread one bit. After sending a word document to these idiots to copy word for word on my website (did their job for them) they still made many grammatical errors after I specifically sent them in an email to proofread it before publishing. When I decided to cancel after the first month they gave me half a day to copy and paste what was on my website before they shut it down and I have to now rebuild the whole thing from scratch. Sean told me in the beginning it was all mine to keep. Stay away from these incompetent scam artists. read more

I just started working with Townsquare but have had a business site on the web for 3+ years now, and have dealt with several site administration companies from the biggest to several smaller companies. I like the pricing I am experiencing which is 50% of what I am seeing from the other review comments I am seeing here! I find that kind of strange but either way the pricing seems to be good for me, the design they have given me I love, the attention as well as availability has been constant within minutes generally. I am a new customer so I will watch for the negatives I am hearing from some of these reviews, but my primary payment method is a credit card, on which I, of course, can stop payments if necessary. Either way, everyone I have worked with at the company has been great to work with so far, and I am enjoying working with them. read more

I hired townsquare interactive to do some Search Engine Optimization for my business a few months ago, and was very disappointed in the results. I get calls from businesses like this all the time, saying they can get me on the front page of Google and other search engines. Townsquare was very professional over the phone, so I was hoping to get professional service. The results were anything but. I paid a premium fee upfront for a one month "trial period" in hopes that this company would help my brand get more visibility online. My company specializes in fiber cement siding and I could not have stressed enough that the customers I was trying to reach out to were people needing this service. After waiting a month, to see how the service worked out, I received a report showing what key phrases directed people to my company's website. From what I've seen There service did not bring a single person to my website, and Hardie Fiber Cement Siding was not listed in any of the 10 key phrases they were Optimizing. Honestly, I don't believe they made ANY back end Optimizations to my website at all. After several phone calls with Townsquare Interactive, and explaining why I was unsatisfied with their service, they've decided to charge me for another month of there basically inexistent service. So, in total, they've charged me about $600+ for a few mediocre posts on my company's Facebook page. The best thing any business owner can do before hiring an SEO company is do plenty of research first. And, whatever you do, do not hire Townsquare Interactive. I hope this review helps read more

Dealing with Townsquare Interactive has been nearly impossible. I agree with the previous review that their initial pitch is great. But with all things that are too good to be true - as such was townsquare's promises to help with Search Engine Optimization. All employees were polite and said the "right things" but essentially nothing was ever done. I used their service for over 7 months at about $900/month. I never made it to "the first page of major search engines" as promised. Many of the popular directories I was promised to be featured on either didn't have my listing or had an entirely wrong listing (it had another business and didn't even mention mine). Once I was finally fed up with all the broken promises Townsquare offered to "host" my website that they built for $129 a month. This was after the original pitch where the salesman told me "they would never high jack my website like Yodel had previously". Alas, they high jacked my website - the URL I own independently now redirects to their website and I have nothing to show for my over $6,000.00 spent. I never received any phones calls through their service and was eventually told by an employee that "it might just not work out". That was that. I do not recommend Townsquare to any business for any reason. They have the polite customer service down pat. However, when it comes to actually receiving any useful service from them they come up completely empty handed. read more

THEY WILL KEEP CHARGING YOU! I used Townsquare for SEO to improve my site rank. It did not improve. All they did was install a FREE plugin on my website. They claim to do some behind the scenes connecting of your listings etc but the SEO expert I work with now says it's all garbage. We switched our website from Wix to Wordpress. Townsquare went in and installed a free plugin (All in one SEO) and left all the default settings. What was the point?? After not seeing improvement in my website rank and basically wasting several hundred dollars, I cancelled our service. BUT they made it IMPOSSIBLE to cancel. I tried calling NUMEROUS times to cancel and every time the person I needed to speak to was "unavailable". HA!! I'd leave messages. No one would ever return my call. Then after literally DEMANDING to speak to someone right then and there, I was able to cancel my service. I even called them to make sure it was cancelled and whaddya know they didn't have any record of it! It took THREE months to cancel! Once I thought I was done (after the credit card they had on file was cancelled), they eventually had their COLLECTIONS ATTORNEY'S OFFICE calling me trying to collect MONEY WE DID NOT OWE. They even faxed a bill to a separate office location which I never provided them information about. As of TODAY I think I'm FINALLY done with these people. Been trying to break up with these scammers since DECEMBER (it is now APRIL)! DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR BUSINESS. I may contact the better business bureau. I don't know how these people are in business. I'm convinced the few positive reviews here are either PAID FOR ON FIVERR or some other similar site, or are written by employees or family members/friends of employees. read more
