What a lovely cafe we ran into in Arkansas on our way home to Missouri. It sits in Downtown Harrison across from the County Courthouse. You walk in and right away you know this place is going to be good. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is modern. They have the normal diner choices you'd expect but you can tell they want it to be memorable. I had the fried chicken with mashed potatoes, corn and some cornbread. The salad you get with the meal was fresh and a good size. Definitely going to make this a stop next time we're heading south. read more

Such a fun cafe/coffee shop atmosphere on the square in old downtown, great service, and a wide variety of breakfast options! I chose the "hot mess" breakfast bowl and it was a large helping, more than I could finish, and delicious! He chose the "Ozark country breakfast," which was also great, especially the three strips of bacon perfectly cooked. Great coffee, too, with frequent refills from our friendly, attentive server. Next time we spend the night in Harrison we will definitely choose Townhouse Cafe for breakfast! read more

This place is my new meeting place. I've travelled a lot with my work for meetings over breakfast. This is, in my opinion, the best breakfast Harrison has to offer. Well worth your patronage. After deliberating over too many choices, the friendly server advised me to go for the steak and egg breakfast to supply energy prior to a hike. I am writing here because it was probably the best version of that dish I have ever had. The star of the show was definitely the steak, which was simply a fine piece of meat. Gave this place a try while on an impromptu visit to Harrison this week. Greeted promptly by Roman who was witty and friendly. Husband ordered some massive amount of meat and eggs and hash browns with sourdough toast. He let me have a piece of toast and it was amazing! I ordered the two egg & pancake breakfast with sausage. It was so so good! We are coffee snobs and the coffee even though it was drip coffee was so good. The decor was so quaint and hometown. Loved the rock walls! Eat here! A nice cafe on the town square. Our hotel only served coffee and muffins, so the woman at the desk suggested this cafe. The coffee is great, the servers are friendly and efficient. Popped into Townhouse Cafe this morning looking for someone to eat in downtown Harrison before heading over to visit my grandma at Hillcrest Nursing Home. What a beautiful place! Is was small and pleasant and the staff were quick and charming. The food came out fast and was pretty good breakfast fare. They have plenty of gluten-free and vegetarian options but we went with the Mexican Scramble and the Hotcakes platter with scrambled eggs. While the Mexican Scramble was a little basic the hot sauce provided spiced it up a bit and the hotcakes were the perfect fluffyness. I'll definitely be back in! read more

How have I not been here before?? Breakfast ("brunch") is served all day Saturday along with their lunch menu and it was delicious! Breakfasts are usually pretty similar wherever you go, but this was especially good. The sausage! I don't know what made it so tasty, but it was way better than usual. Sounds funny, but even the toast was great. My husband had a combo platter of several things and said it was all delicious, though he commented on the biscuits and gravy several times. So the service was excellent and the waiter was really fun. He said he's the chef on Monday and Tuesday and offers some of his family favorites. Can't wait to try his cooking. Also, the music they played made me happy. A little classic rock with my eggs - right on! Looking at the reviews, it seems that maybe this wasn't the best place several years ago. I don't know if there's a different owner or what, but for such a basic meal, it was anything but! So glad we finally discovered this cute, clean, small town cafe right on the downtown square. Great find for brunch! We were worried about trying to get brunch close to Branson, as wait times in Branson cafes were over an hour long. Decided to try this place and we were so pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious, and the service was fantastic. Thank you Roman! Breakfast Saturday, perfect hash browns. They get busy food gets better. I know unusual, right. All the waitstaff are competent and polite. Cooks do right! They get it right or they fix it, quick. A very rude overweight waitress works here and kisses all over her boyfriend in front of people and her boyfriend tries to look tough when he's all skin and bones. He wouldn't want to mess with me. Friendliest staff with great service, pies/cakes to die for, and a variety of choices on the menu. I visit here at least once a week.

We stopped here for lunch at 1pm on a Friday afternoon, and a couple tables were vacant. The 'Friday Fish Fest' menu insert appears to be specials of the day, but are actually the same items listed on the menu. I had the fish and chips basket comprised of 2 fried cod filets and steak fries, and there were good, especially with the malt vinegar and tartar sauce. My friend had the chicken fingers basket, and it was good, as well. There's nothing extraordinary about the food, but it's good. I thought it was a little pricey for Harrison, Arkansas, but it was no big deal. The ambience was great, especially the native stone walls. I'd go back. read more

Townhouse Cafe on the square in historic downtown Harrison has taken on a new owner, and it can only be a good thing. Mark Garner and Karen Hill from Garner Hill Farms are now serving their grass fed bacon and farm raised eggs just like it used to be. I had the Harrison Light Breakfast, with one egg, bacon, hash browns and a biscuit. I don't usually get gravy, so I didn't try it. Thick cut bacon, perfectly fried, had just the right bacony flavor. When I cracked that egg and saw that orangey yolk, I knew that the eggs came straight from the farm, too. I had known Garner Hill Farms to have organic farm raised meat, but I didn't know about the eggs. Delicious. The special that day was New Orleans style stuffed French toast. Wasn't up for a big breakfast that day, but I would like to try it some time. The old building has beautiful exposed native rock on the neighbor walls, and as renovations proceed, the stained glass under the awning will be exposed. The place was clean and smelled like good food. The lone waitress working the busy Sunday morning shift was friendly and efficient. The food came out right on time. If you like local food, and care about where your meat comes from and how it was raised, this is the place. I can't wait to get a chance to go back for lunch. read more

Our lunch today was fantastic and the service was wonderful. The chili was great on a cold day with a yummy cornbread muffin. My husband had a cup of the ham & beans special and it was true comfort food. My French dip was delicious on a perfectly toasted roll. Ate there again yesterday because some others with me wanted to eat there. The burger was average. I ordered it "all the way". It came out with no mayo or mustard and no onion. I had to ask for the mayo and mustard and it took them a long time to bring it. The onion rings were very greasy and did not have enough onion in them to taste. First time in Harrison, what a great little town. Went to this place to have a quick lunch before a wedding. Server was very kind and attentive. When she turned my order in to the cook..the cook started complaining about making my sandwich. I could hear her from the dining room. Made me very uncomfortable. Why would you have that sandwich on the menu if it is such a pain in the butt to make!! My sandwich was not good at all. Just the whole experience put a bad taste in my mouth.
