Horrible experience yesterday at Towne Hand Car Wash So. Plainfield, NJ. 0 star. This is my 2nd time going back & my driving distance from where I live is 40 mins away. My1st experience was awful & 2nd experience was the worst! Took my car to this car wash & spoke with the guys in English & Spanish to vacuum underneath the seat as it was dirty with crumbs & they all ignored me. There were at least 5-6 guys drying my car & all guys never bothered to clean out the dirt in my white car, white soap, black dirt water dripping & stain from the outside of my car because the guys dried my car sloppy & still dirty. They all looked the other way & rushed to get the next car. Such a horrible experience. I called the car wash same day asking to speak with the owner & was told the owner is never at the car wash which I know is not true. The young girl at the front desk called me & said they decided to refund me back what I paid which was nice but I've not yet received my refund. I also gave a generous tip in the tip box & this is what I got in return a sloppy & dirty car. The amount I paid was $24.45. Pictures speak for themselves! Will not go back until I know for sure the service will be provided top notch. 40 mins drive was a waste of time & gas! Message to the owner- online poor reviews is your business reputation & crucial of your business. It's important you evaluate & if you want to grow & run a successful business you need to approach/execute them so your business can grow successfully! ITS not about having your employees speed up & get the amount of cars quickly washed, it's about doing it right & making your customers happy so they return back. I will probably continue to come here as it's the most convenient to me, but they only do an okay job. I watched the man doing the vacuuming for the car ahead of me take a call and not do a great job. I was there specifically for vacuuming dog hair up so I mentioned it to him when it was my turn, hoping to ensure a good vacuuming. Unfortunately I'm going to have to find somewhere to do it myself because he missed a lot. They didn't wipe any of the door arm rests either and left wet spray all over the center console and shifter. Sometimes this place gets packed, but there was no rush today there were maybe 10 air fresheners inside on an empty wall, apparently they are 'waiting for restock'. Someone should have ordered before ALL the fresheners were gone?? Is there new ownership? Get a basic wash for $12- the rest are a scam bc they aren't really making your car any cleaner for the higher prices. read more

First visit: Went to get my truck washed following a vacation because I had a lot of sand in my interior. Got the Platinum package. Truck looked alright but when I got home I noticed the the interior was dirty under the rugs and windows weren't cleaned properly. Second visit: I'm all for second chances so I went again today. I got the same package and hoping I would have a better experience. Well this time the vacuuming was better but that's about it. The windows looked like they were wiped with the same rag used to dry it. Mirrors were dirty and my back window was barely touched. With 5 employees cleaning the vehicle you would think they would do a better job. Never again. I'll go somewhere else or do it myself. read more

I'd say they are just ok. It really is somewhere between 2 1/2 & 3 stars but I don't like businesses doing bad, specially small businesses. They are convenient for me. I don't need my car blinding people with picture perfect cleanliness but this is subpar. They can be lazy & all you have to do is look at the interior of your car once they are done. Bought the Platinum car wash. Unfortunately, they did everything poorly from vacuuming to interior. Windows were not cleaned on or inside in the back of vehicle.l asked the guys if they could please clean them and they ignored me. With the Platinum wash, you are to get tire dressing. I only got tire dressing on one side of my car. Again, I asked them if they could do the other side and they ignored me. Not sure if it was the language barrier, but I pointed out what was not done. I ended up coming home to redo all my windows in and out, and dressed my own tires. This place is definitely not worth the money or time. I'd recommend finding another place. read more

Recently I visited this location and had car wash, my vehicle was SUV. I am very impressed, the guys were not rude, they vacuum inside the vehilce including the trunk. After complaining online and receiving a quick response from the owner with correction assurances I decided to try again. Actually two more times. There were only three cars in the queue. Ready: The vacuum guy on the rear passenger side scratched the door plastic pretty bad. I'm considering talking to you but proof is tough, even though I'm 100% sure it's you. Still the guy at the end of the tunnel that's supposed to blow off the mirrors is brain dead. I stood in front of him nicely and mimicked the blow them off better motion. He looked at me vacantly and then got in my baby. He jerked it around to the other guys that were good. Again the moment I pulled away the water poured out of my mirrors all over my doors. I backed up and showed him, he said sorry. When I got home, I again needed to wet and clean many spotted and streaked areas all over my car. Conclusion: I'm sorry Mr. Owner, thanks for the quick worded response but you're car wash is terrible and it remains terrible. You corrected absolutely nothing. This is in no way a professional wash. It's quick, sloppy and destructive. I will never be back. read more

I bring my car here once to twice a month Spring-Fall, and up to 3 times a month in the Winter. My wife on the other hand gets a car wash wherever she sees fit as she has no preference. She called to remind me that I could get a free wash today, Veterans Day. I wasn't sure if it was only a few places offering this or all, so I called Magic Hand and sadly, they do not offer a free wash for veterans*. *Update: Magic Hand Car Wash DOES participate in a free wash for Veterans on the Federal Holiday and I look forward to continuing having my car serviced there. I've changed my previous 3 star rating to 5 as it wasn't the service that swayed my earlier decision, but a simple misunderstanding. Great place! I have the unlimited car wash and go there often, the service is great and the people there work very hard. My only dislike is the line that's out the door most times, it is hand wash so they can only move so fast to get the cars in and out as compared to a machine doing it. One other drawback is the actual turn to get into the service lane, It is not truck Friendly and takes some skill to make the turn the first shot. read more

Pros: They do a very good job with hand cleaning your car when it goes through the tunnel. Lots of water for the rinse cycle removing all excess soap. I was pleased with the under carriage wash as well. Pretty fast for a hand car wash Cons: They do a horrible job on windows. Unfortunately, this is another disappointing visit to a car wash where my windows are in worse condition then when I arrived. They also did a terrible job with drying the car. They used the same rags to wipe down the car as they did to wipe door jams. This left a streaky mess behind on my paint (probably worse on the next car they walked over to and started drying after mine). The ground where they being to dry the car is filthy and muddy. Not an issue for me (thanks to rubber mats), but someone with a lighter interior floor will certainly soil the carpet when walking over to and getting their vehicle. Notes: Pricing is decent. I might come back here if I am in the area and give them another shot. I would not recommend going here if it's out of your way. read more

I am done with this place. It's 1PM on a Tuesday, I get there about an hour ago and there's about 5 dudes standing around but they tell me they're closed. Why?? "Because it's been slow all day" -- so you randomly close on a summer afternoon, in July, with no chance of rain for the rest of the day. You guys are total scum. Even though you do an average job at best, I have returned several times because it's the only hand wash in the area for my soft top convertible. Now you can't even keep reliable hours. I don't know why they have so many low reviews. This place was packed mid morning Saturday and you can see the guys handwashing and hand drying so thoroughly. For it to have so many low star reviews I was surprised to see it so crowded. I guess not everyone agrees with those reviews either. I didn't have a high expectations but they did an excellent job. This must be backbreaking work. The line was long with two rows of cars. I give them kudos. Especially considering that they look to do a very thorough job on each car including my own. Very pleased with the work they did. Much more thorough than my regular guys closer to my house. I would go here again the next time I'm in the area for certain. Price is average. The Worst Ever Car Wash I have seen in US. Even the Bird's poop in exterior windshield is not completely cleaned. They are charging $1 extra for Honda CRV as oversized vehicle. Total 13.86 for exterior car wash + interior vacuum + Dashboard touch up. (The cheapest one in their list) They are not drying the top of the vehicle. When I insisted, they are getting angry. They opened all the four doors and stepping on to reach the top spoiled the interior carpet with their oily shoes. I had to by carpet cleaners to clean all. Found too many white and water residue spots all around the vehicle. I cleaned them all on reaching home. Four persons touch the car at the same time to dry it, exactly 1 minute - poor work. All the metals in my car catch up lot of white soap spots They just use same cloth to do all work. The poor most is their Dashboard touch up. They made a mess (oily, sticky, stingy) because as they used the same cloth that they used for exterior. read more

This place is an out right fraud. I brought my car in and they lost a part. I called the manager 5 times and no response. My car looked clean after it was waxed. Then I felt the paint and it didn't feel smooth. I put water on the car to see if the car had bubbles. NONE. I have to bring in my car now to get it waxed. That is unreal. I stopped here for a full service wash today. The cashier was very pleasant and helpful. The wash left a lot to be desired. I paid $13 and some change and gave $2 for a tip. The interior of my car didn't look like it had been touched! It was still very dusty. I alerted the manager (or owner, not sure) and he got one of the employees to wipe the inside of the car down. Freaking AWFUL! car was still dirty after the wash, the wheels were still full of brake dust. Pointed it out to the dryer guy, he shrugged and walked off. Told the guy at the front, took a freakin cloth off him and cleaned it myself. If you dont care about your car take it, if you want it just clean and dry dont bother as they cant even do that. Car is outside my house now, dirty n dripping wet. Ive used them for years. NEVER AGAIN. if that was my business id fire them all. The sad thing is there are plenty of competent people looking for work who could do a much better job and care about it. Useless. Not good enough.
