I needed to get my car super clean one last time before I POVd my vehicle for an overseas move. For anyone who has ever had to do this before, you know that the vehicle must be "white finger glove clean." Glow Express was recommended to me and I am so appreciative. The attendant was very nice and friendly. I chose the "Ultimate Wash," because I wanted every exterior nook and cranny thoroughly cleaned. I'd washed the car in VT before driving to NJ, but I knew that it would need that extra step. The attendant handed me a bag with a lint-free cloth, two interior wipes, and an air car freshener. All I can say is, wow! I do not get those things back home and I pay $25 to go through the machine. This was an awesome bonus. The wash itself was very thorough. I go to a similar place in VT and I felt this place's machines did a better job. There was a lot more sudsing and getting the bug junk off. I then wiped the car down with the amazing cloth (superior quality) and used the air pressure to push any bugs and debris in the from radiator out. The vacuum was also high powered and excellent. All equipment was clearly well maintained. I was there at 10am on a gray Monday morning and there were at least 6 other customers wiping down their vehicles and more coming. Clearly the negative reviews do not match the popularity of this place. If I lived in the area, I'd pay the $40/m for the unlimited Ultimate wash, but they also have unlimited basic washes for $20/m which is truly a great deal. I am obsessed with my Tesla. So much so that I have it detailed 4x a year and believe me, the cost adds up. Looking to save, I finally gave in to the idea of putting my EV through a carwash. What I love about this one is that once it is washed, you park at one of the stations. They provide you with a brand new cloth to wipe down any excess wetness on the exterior of your vehicle. There are also two wipes for your interior. The cost is low because you have to do the work yourself. I have no problem with that, I'm getting a little exercise in at the same time. Lol. I think it's better than those wet clothes other places use where they keep using it again and again on multiple cars where they can scratch it up. I'm happy I gave this place a chance. I love this place. Coming for years...and today's experience was like all the others. This time, Matt and Ivan were managing the pay kiosk and the entry. Both superbly mannered with smiley faces -- sadly, I don't see that from young folk any longer. (Times are tough -- not judging.) Great wash options and decent prices ($12.99 for a basic wash); but better yet, there are fantastic vacuuming facilities with forced air nozzles available for free for all customers. A 10 minute time limit is only imposed when necessary but is still plenty of time. Leave your quarters at home and bring the car for a proper Glow Up! read more

Terrible service. You pay $11 for a regular wash and have to vacuum your own car, do your own windows and dry the car with your own towels. For $5 you can go to a self service wash on Old Bridge and get the same result. Also if you believe in age discrimination in hiring, this place might be for you since they don't hire anyone over 40. Got the $7 basic wash and my car looked a tad cleaner but quite streaky afterwards. The dirtiness of my car before the car wash was really not bad (had some salt on it and was not shiny). It did feel like the time going through the car wash was shorter than other places and the time for the water rinsing and drying was extremely short (maybe the reason for the excess streaking). Overall, not really satisfied with the basic car wash - for this level of washing, $7 is too much - maybe $3-$4 would be acceptable since they do give you a complimentary internal car wipe, which is nice. read more

It just looked like rain happened over night where it gives your car a cleaner look from a distance but if you closely, it's still dirty like before. This is a self serve car wash, where there's a machine you can pick what you want and pay upfront. There was a guy to help me pay and handed me a free vacuum coin which was appreciated. But then afterwards someone else sprays your car before it goes into the machine. My car came out and there wasn't anyone wiping the car dry. Is this normal?? I went to the Edison location twice in April and once in May. they charge me for tire dressing and every time I never get tire dressing on my vehicle. I go up to the attendant and he just has me do the wash again and the same thing happens no tire dressing. Why are they charging people for tire dressing and not putting it on the tires I just went again last weekend and the same thing. I am never going back there! read more

But, I was very impressed - they say EXPRESS, they mean it! I purchased a $7 car wash to remove the salt and snow after a big snow storm. This was the basic car wash but you can purchase add-ons as you desire. A friendly man greeted me at the self-service station to help walk through the steps. The $7 car wash comes with a token for the self service vacuum machine (which I did not use because it was freezing cold). Before you enter, another friendly man hands you an interior wipe. A good value, and a good wash - but, the drying leaves abit to be desired. I pull out still dripping wet from top to bottom. My car is black, and having it dripping wet & air dry would have left water streaks all over it. So I had to manually get out to dry the entire car down. Very friendly guys that work here and are there to assist you with the drive up system they have to pick out a type of wash, a la carte items, etc. You even get 1 free token for the vacuums that lasts 5 minutes, and 1 wet wipe to clean the interior of your vehicle. The wash itself is nothing out of the ordinary to me, and I was not pleased that they don't dry your vehicle with a towel after the wash. I had a shitload of wet spots all over my car. $1 for five minutes of vacuuming... took four times to vacuum out my car. The nozzle was pretty good for getting into corners. Sure, you can vacuum out your car at a gas station, but this car wash has colorful signs. Too bad all my chores aren't decorated this way. Maybe I could finally clean up that humongous pile of papers on the floor. It would've been nice if the vacuum were just a little bit more powerful-- I had to go over it several times in order to get it to suck up the dirt. It wasn't packed in or anything-- it was just loose gravel and things like that. It would also have been nice if the hose were a little bit longer-- I had to move my car to get to the back. Though that would probably make the suction even weaker, in which case nevermind. Overall no complaints. Maybe I will try the car wash some time. Another reviewer said that they didn't accept cash but the drive up is electronic and does indeed accept credit. There was a friendly attendant who walked up and helped her with our first experience. They definitely try to sell you on their monthly pass but it's not so overly pushy. Car was was decent, typical drive through experience. Fun for kids because they have led lights in the "waterfall" as you first drive in. A standard wash is $7 but the super wash is about $11...I don't know if there's really a difference since you would drive through the same exact drive through. Allegedly different products are used for the different wash but I just wouldn't know the difference. For the $7 base price I think it's fine. I thought that given how it was a newer looking place, and I paid for a higher package, that they would be able to leave my car looking clean. I still had some residue on my car left over, which in other places comes right off. I guess newer isn't better.
