I requested to have my interior detailed and spoke with John. He was accommodating and pleasant to work with. He mentioned he didn't have a sign up since the building was repainted but gave me clear instructions. The detailing took about 3 hours which he informed me beforehand and the pricing was reasonable. The reason I'm giving 3 stars instead of 5 is because I noticed my car has a lingering smell of cigarette smoke and I noticed it on my clothes when I got home. I'm 9 months pregnant, I do not smoke and neither does my husband so this is quite upsetting. I got the car detailed so it'll be clean before I have the car seat installed but now that it smells like cigarettes, I'm not sure what to do. I brought my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee in last week after a summer of beating the inside and outside of it up going surfing. I've had my Honda for 6 years now and I finally decided it was time to give it a midlife facelift. I gave John a call over the weekend, told him I didn't have much time to get it done and he took my car in on his day off. TWICE! I got both an exterior and interior cleaning done and the job was spot on. For the interior, he vacuumed the entire car out, any carpet stains, scuff marks on the door from passengers (and myself) kicking the door, dashboard dust, hair, random trash, were gone. I had a carpet stain on my passenger side from spilled coffee over 3 years ago and it's also gone now. Any valuables found/worth keeping were stored in my trunk in a bag. I had him apply leather conditioner to all my seats and the results were amazing, he spent 5 hours going top to bottom getting every little detail right. I stopped by before the car was ready and John was standing there toothbrush in hand. That's how I knew he was going for a deep clean, this guy really stands by his work and it was only $75, most places go for $150+ for a job like this. There's real value here. I also had the exterior detailing done, he did the full works, washing polishing, waxing, my rims are completely clean as well. There's no trace of the previous small scratches on my doors or bumpers. My car looks like I just took it off the lot yesterday. You can tell when someone really cares about their work and takes pride in it and John goes above and beyond with his work. So I read the reviews and decided to check it and and put it to the test. I used my vehicle for Lyft and Uber the past few years and I have take it into a few vehicle detail locations I'm not going to name, however A-1 Auto Detailing surpassed my expectations by a landslide. The attention to detail and removal of the cab passenger smell was amazing. Let me tell you, using your own personal vehicle for rides at times can be messy and frustrating. Depending on the passengers and hygiene. Let's say the odors were gone despite numerous car washes to include interior shampoos and odor removal chemicals. I cannot recommend A-1 high enough. I only knew of this place from the excellent Yelp and Google reviews. I must say I was a little hesitant due to the fact that there is no website or even, as of today's date, a sign on the building because it was painted recently, however the reviews are completely warranted. John could not be more trustworthy. He cleaned vomit out of my car seat and floor right away when I brought the car in without an appointment. The price was beyond reasonable, so much so that I gave him a little extra. I thought my car seat could be ruined but it came out looking and smelling like new. Thank you John for excellent service. John and his team at A-1 is awesome! My white SUV had a lot of yellowish spots all over it. A regular car wash cannot take those spots off, I have to scrub very hard to get them off. The whole process takes a long time, and the spots would reappear. Then I was doing some research and found John's place. After reading all the reviews, I brought my car in hoping it would work, otherwise, I was prepared to get the whole car repainted. When I finally got the car back, the car looked brand new! Even the spot that once had a scratch mark on it had disappeared, it's like it was never there before! They applied a lot of wax on the outside, so the whole car felt very smooth and shiny.
