This is the worst cab company I have ever used and I grew up and lived most of my life in New Bedford so it says a lot First you either don't answer your phones or you pick up just to hang up sometimes for around an hour Second if someone says voucher they'll never get a taxi you'll wait until their is no one else to pick up so if you have an appointment best to wait til you have money for an Uber Don't ask why your losing business when it's your own fault read more

Never again! As dangerous as it is to walk in this town, you'd be safer taking your chances on foot than calling for a ride from Town Taxi! Car was filthy inside and out, and the engine sounded like it was about to explode. Driver appeared to inebriated (scratching, twitching and humming to himself) and travelled a full block on the wrong side of a 25mph street at 40mph; messaging on FaceBook and accepting 3 personal phone calls- all while playing explicit gangsta rap. Parked with the rear end obstructing traffic while I unloaded packages. Then when it was time to pay, I had to stand in the street on the driver's side while he held my debit card (I was afraid he would drive off with it) while he waited 8 minutes for the office to answer the phone to make the charge. When they finally answered, they dinged me for more than the agreed fare/tip. I would call to complain but that creepy crackhead knows where I live now and I don't feel safe asking for them to fix it... as if they even would. And as a bonus, the dispatcher was rude to me when I made my ride request. I would have used Lyft but the wait was 40min and it was freezing out so I picked the taxi company with the highest rating. this company sucks I used the app to order my cab.They tell me my driver and cab number.The driver shows up saying he is there for someone else even though the app said that he is there to pick me up.I showed him this and the stupid dispatch told him to take the other person anyway proving they don't honor the app.This is the third time that this happened so this time I snapped at them and decided I would rather walk home then be disrespected like this.Will never take this cab company ever again read more

It's hard cause I would give a 5 star if the woman that answers the phone was not working there but her alone makes the place horrible. If you call and get a man that answers you will likely get your car the exact time he says or earlier. If you call and the woman answers she will not give you a time and it's 50/50 of them showing up extremely late like past 30 minutes or just not at all. I called politely requesting a taxi. The individual responded aggressively requesting my address. While the request is reasonable the overly aggressive and utterly rude attitude was completely uncalled for. I attempted to give the address I was located at and the person just hung up. Needless to say this was unnecessary. It was however easy to find an alternative taxi company who was happy to be polite, timely and happy to have the business. It's just the basics of respect that this company lacks which makes it easy to give them a 1 star. read more

Rarely need to use a taxi service --- called and spoke with a very helpful, pleasant woman to get information, made the arrangements and was picked up right on time by a friendly driver who said they'd had a busy New Year's Eve last night. Will definitely use Town Taxi again and recommend them too! read more

Once again attempted to reach this Taxi service and received the "Palm pilot" voice mail box which is full. The service is still running, but how do you reach them? Update: was finally able to get through, but the lady didn't seem to care. The Palm Pilot Voice box is their way of saying "We're busy." When you cannot reach either service in the City because they are too busy, it is time to have the city start investing in other providers. read more

I've never had problems with town taxi before up until the last couple times. Sometime last week, the driver just never came to pick me up, which happened again this morning but it was completely ridiculous. I never have a problem with the drivers. Most of the drivers are actually very respectful. One in particular (I wish I knew his name, he has a strong accent, with dreadlocks ) was always very respectful, and courteous. I usually have a problem with the dispatcher, the older male. He always seems very rude, and this morning completely ruined the start of my day. I called at around 5:30, and waited outside until about 5:55, when I decided to call back again to see let them know I still haven't gotten picked up, and I had seen about 2 other town taxi cabs drive by me. The usual dispatcher picked up, told me that the driver is on their way and hung up. I continued to wait, and at around 6:05 I tried calling again, and the phone just kept ringing. I decided to just begin walking, since I'm going to be late for work anyways at this point, and kept trying to call, but got ignored every single time. I believe I'm completely done using their service, but we'll see. read more

While I have never had much of an issue with drivers, the dispatchers for this company are incompetent. It is a day of miracles if you can get through and even better if the dispatcher remembers to log the call in. I have waited over an hour because someone "forgot." Would give a ZERO if I could. DO NOT USE FOR AIRPORT SERVICE !! My wife ordered a van to pick us up from Logan Airport to Somerset. Driver was 50 minutes late so my wife called. The driver said he had a car and NOT the mini van that we requested. Would be impossible to fit our 3 young kids, my wife, and I plus our luggage. (Which was the reason we specifically asked for a VAN and not a car). We were told they could send up a van which would take 1.5 hours. By far the worst service!! There are really just 2 cab companies in the small city of Fall river and they are awful and limited. Clearly they know this and can care less about service they provide. We were visiting from out of town and called to visit a relative but did not want to drink and drive so we needed a cab. We call for 45 minutes over & over and no one picked up and when they finally did the man said 25 minutes. Well we sat waiting with coats on and about 45 minutes later we hear a horn honk. We were outside within seconds and he took off. We call back and the man says he will come right back & hangs up, we heard what sounded like porn in the background. We assume this co. is being runned in the basement of some perv, Well, the cab never showed up and the phone was off to the cab company. We ended up having to spend the night crammed up on the floor.
